The Italian guy actually talked more sense than our own lady-ambassador to Italy. War on Terror has been going on for 9yrs now and she’s still stuck at ‘we have to understand who is doing what and why’ – lady, you need to wake up & smell the coffee.

Anyways, if Talat continues with this shocking behaviour of his, I doubt any serious Western experts would want to sit on his show and express their opinions.

I’ll also add here, today when I see Pakistanis’, I find there’s nothing more offensive to a Pakistani than to take orders from someone.

I wonder if that is one reason, why they defy laws of Islam i.e., because they have to obey someone (in this case, ALLAH ALMIGHTY) unconditionally and unequivocally

This is a good program. Its a good for program to open eyes of those in our society who are uninformed or miss-informed.

I call them uninformed or miss-informed because they don’t think religion is something VERY VERY IMPORTANT. They think Islam has a narrow view of life. It doesn’t have solutions to problems of today.

What I’ll also add is, this program attempts to bring in international representatives in the circle of discussion, for Pakistanis to view. That is good. It will expose the people of the west in-front of our nation, our people.

Remember what a “sahabi” (in urdu) once said? He said, if my camel is lost, I’m sure I’ll find him by finding the solution in Quran.

Quran is full of history of mankind. It has a lot of examples, a lot of references to eras’ of the past. It calls us to follow good from that history and orders us to stay away from the bad in that history.

This program is more of the same for those who know more i.e., average Pakistani

Why? Because it leads to the same conclusions that we Pakistanis’ have already drawn from our knowledge of Islam, history of this world, history of our people, history of Muslims and history of non-Muslims

We Pakistanis’ already know Muslims have nothing to do with terrorism. ALL that is going on .. is going on at the behest of countries, people who are intent on spreading “fasaad” (in urdu) in the world.

An interesting point raised in this program was by a panelist who said that this problem is political, but since it hasn’t been resolved for a long time, it has become religious. I believe he’s BS’ing on this one point.

Muslims have Islam as law. Islam is law, the boundary by which Muslims agree live their lives. This boundary is set by ALLAH ALMIGHTY. These laws have been prescribed by ALLAH ALMIGHTY.

Every Muslim submits himself/herself to ALLAH ALMIGHTY unconditionally and unequivocally <- this is the definition of a Muslim.

Let me repeat -> A Muslim is a Muslim because he submits himself/herself to ALLAH ALMIGHTY unconditionally and unequivocally.

To put the same in different words i.e., Muslims use Islam as a way of life. Islam is a complete system of life. It shows us how to live our lives. How to treat people. How to manage expenses. What financial system to use. What social values to have.

There is no problem today that can’t be solved by Islam. Why? because .. Islam is the way of life prescribed by ALLAH ALMIGHTY

A Muslim who does not submit himself/herself to ALLAH ALMIGHTY’s laws cannot be called a Muslim.

A Muslim who does not live his/her life according to ALLAH ALMIGHTY’s laws cannot be called a Muslim.

Let me remind everyone, the mid-evil era was the most prosperous era this world has ever seen. That era came about when Islam was the way of life for Muslims

ALL other ways of life have failed many a times within a century. This is not a statement. This is a proven fact from history of mankind

btw…i am actively involved up in the mountains for the IDPs of swat.
