at Rangbaz

You r still doing Rangbazi as evident from your username. The character of PML-N is evident from the recent incidents and I assure you almost 99% of their MPs r corrupt like PPP. My question was that who is propogatting the Rule of Law and Independence of Judiciary from 1996 and where was PML-N then. If I said PML-N jumped into the bandwagon to seek the opportunity. Please give arguments and not do "Hawai Firing". Arguments welcomed if any.

As the 17th Amendment and 58 (2)b power-wielding President, Mr. 10% allowed CJ Chaudhry to resume work only after the usurper CJ Dogar retired. In effect, Mr. 10% accepted the Musharaffian dispensation that the usurper was not only de facto but also de jure CJP.
Perhaps, a lawyer can better inform us but to a thinking person, it implies that by accepting the usurper as a de jure CJP, Mr. 10% has served as a facilitator of Musharraf's illegal action. In effect, Mr. 10% simply perpetrated Musharraf's criminal act of barring CJP Chaudhry from conducting his legally-mandated duty.
While, rightly, most Pakistanis are seeking Musharraf's trial, but any trial will be meaningless unless it includes the accessories to the former dictator's crimes: Mr. 10%, Farooq Naek, his law minister, Latif Khosa, and others.
Justice will not be served if Musharraf's collaborators are left off the hook.

@zameerk

BB was no innocent woman. It is clear from the history that her conduct, though could argued to be better then the dictators was never in any case distinguishable from other politicians. Corruption, looting, and selfishness of her and her family, ether from her side or from her husbands side is evident and could not be denied if only based on the facts. So there is really no logical base to call her "Shaheed" unless we twist the definition of this honour, which i must say, has recently become the ground for any denial , dismissal and out right lie from the current government.

But i am sure you will not be able to understand this line of argument because, as JanuJerman Khan said , attachment is emotional rather then intellectual.

If you look at the relation ship of PPP and the workers objectively you must note the feudal ,slave master mentality present. Jiyala is a house slave who thinks of every act of his feudal lord in his favour as a blessing from him rather then thinking it as his right and demanding it. This mentality allows the feudal to through a bone at the slave to divert his attention from the real matter at hand, ice his freedom. This mentality is prevalent and is the root cause of this farce of a democracy that we have in Pakistan and many muslim Countries in the world, evident most painfully in Saudi Arabia.

BeNazir has always played double games. She is not a revolutionary leader who could command the wills of people of Pakistan just because she is daughter of Bhutto. Her own identity as a political leader is marred with black patches of moral and intellectual degradation and deprivation

Memory of the people is not as weak as your's my friend.
Each time the negotiations of PPP and PMLN failed due to one demand from Zaradar, guess what, "We need to indemnify Musharraf".

So please don't try to pose any innocent flirts

Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,

@JanuJerman Khan: I can't believe people in our nation STILL want to be bad, they still want to lie, they still want to make fools out of the other, they are still bent on being unjust?

Haven't they seen enough proof of ALL the failures, over the past 60+ years because of that?

Don't they know from Islam, ALLAH ALMIGHTY NEVER! gives rise to an unjust nation, no matter how treacherous, how incredibly good liars its people become?

Dua go,
HarisKhan

woh maza nahi raha

ppp workers or jialas are not affiliated with ppp on intellectual grounds, rather they are affiliated based on emotions. When someone is tied to an organization because of emotions, it is very hard to convince him/her on intellectual ideas.

A part of my family is and was pure ppp supporting, they suffered greatly during zia time because of false cases & jails. During election they would go twice and thrice to vote for their candidates, often using multiple ID cards (back then there were no digital cards)

Attachment with ppp was also strong during benazir time, but now they say "woh maza nahi raha". Even though they haven't cut off their decades old emotional affiliation, but are getting less and less energetic because of zardari's management of party affairs.

It is really new information for the people coz every one knows that PPP never endorsed Nov 3 act. PPP’s leadership was the first that lauded court’s decision, any how Aqeel Sajjad is wise and would have some answer to it but how once can digest that a great leader Benazir Bhutto Shaheed who gave her life for democracy was playing double game. Aqil Sajjad Sahib kuch to khuda ka khauf Karen.

This seems quit balanced analysis. I think there were many parties on the board for restoration of judiciary, some of which were there to gain some credebility and to reduce the back lash of NRO whereas some were there to propagate their party because it was very easy propagation (FREE OF COST) else they would require to gather many people for propagation only. Anyway the role of PML-N is quite astonishing in this movement (leave aside the motives).
Now as per the writer, PPP(Z) need to be careful because all their efforts of not restoring the judiciary to 2nd November 2007 position, went in vain and now they will be feeling the heat.
May God Give Our Courts More Courage to clear all the mess created by these Politicians (Authoritarians basically).

Very well written but credit not only goes to N.S and lawyers. There were other political parties and segments of society who sacrificed for the cause for many years. And more importantly the common man who is suffering in the hands of this corrupt ruling elite whether it is from PPP, PML-N or any other ruling party.
