I have seen this ceremony but never seen so much emotional crowd really enjoying celebrating. This year I feel we people are more emotional. I am happy to see so many Jubilant Pakistanis.

Just to let you know Indians are doing the same on the other side of the gate.

Beautiful show some sort of hell march/parade! Very impressive! Wow, really scary. Very strong army & do not want believe this is the same who had totally surrendered in ’71 at East Pakistan thereafter with full of Mess – Mismanaged Kargil.

Well, don’t know. For example, I like Pakistan and their Fauji Generals false & unfounded claims.

Watch our beloved President of Pakistan’s declared friend — what’s their approach regarding Pakistan.

    @ adil
Does anybody know why they hit their feet forcefully to the ground and scream loudly?

I think we should stop these kind of ceremonies…..spreads hatred on both sides. Rather we should have handshake, hugs and sweet distribution ceremony on auspicious days like 14 August and 6Th September….. Positive gestures…what do you guyz think abt it.

Jinnah was great, writes Jaswant Singh

Updated at: 2140 PST, Sunday, August 16, 2009

New Delhi: Controversy has been sparked by Jaswant Singh’s observation regarding partition in his book about India’s independence struggle. Mr. Singh has, contrary to popular perception prevailing in India, glorified Jinnah who is often demonised in India, as an ambassador of Hindu-Muslim unity.

Singh’s view of Jinnah is markedly different to the accepted Indian image. He sees him as a nationalist, even accepting that Jinnah was a great Indian.

Jaswant Singh also goes on to term Nehru as one of the principal architects of India’s partition. He also writes that Jinnah did not win Pakistan, rather Nehru and Patel conceded Pakistan to Jinnah with help of the British.

The BJP leader supported his opinion saying that till 1945 Jinnah was seeking a solution to the problems between Hindus and Muslims. And consider it not as a communal problem but as the problem of a nation.

Earlier, Advani, senior leader of BJP also faced a lot of public and political scorn when he called Jinnah a great nationalist.

This book can evoke serious contempt from the leaders of RSS which has zero tolerance against the Pakistani leader and is likely to cause turmoil in Indian politics.

I’m not army fan like ‘almost’ every Pakistani. I’ve attended this ceremoney manytimes, but its quite right that this time there was more enthusiaism.

You wont see any religious party’s involment in these kinda cermonies, as they take Pakistan not as a country but as an ‘idealogy’, which they are supposed to spread. This facist practice had done more harm for Pakistanies then any advantage. And as they can’t ever come in power by election, so they hate democracy, & they punish us for not electing them or listening them, by creating more problems across border.

Every single slogan raised there shows that ‘Taliban’ or anyother fanatic force can’t ever overtake this country. Thats why slogans were less religious, less taunting or annoying for others, just jublient.

I’m staunch supporter of IndoPak soft border, but I think this kinda ceremony atleast remind us taht we are Pakistani, &thats alone is a nightmare for ‘fanatics’.
