Hope civil society can prove that they care for Baluchis and participate same way as they did at the restoration of judges.

Track record of Sardars is not glorious but Bhugtti surely did not deserve to die the way he did. An arrogant man like Mushrraf who is now running for so called lectures should have fate than this – which is he should know when he going to be hanged so that he feel the death every second before he actually dies.

It is true that Baluchistan has under gone a lot of injustices from the ruling classes of Pakistan. The people of Baluchistan have been forced to start armed struggle for their rights. Mushrraf and all his associates must be taken to task which led to present situation. This is a very delicate issue and it should not be led by TV anchors about whom every body they are on the paid list of agencies, with some exception. So do not misled by agencies and their spokesmen.

I am not Baloch but I know & understand how & what the Balochi people’s sense of deprivation must be & is – there’s no denying that the Federation of Pakistan has neglected them and almost marginalized them within their own country – not only in the recent past, but almost throughout our history. What happened and how it happened with Akbar Bugti is a tragedy that should not have occurred but – I would be reluctant to pass judgements and refrain from putting the blames on any solitary shoulders. There is a long history of Baloch struggle for their rights, as guaranteed in the constitution of Pakistan, and a long history of how the Federation of Pakistan, with the backing of the majoritarian mindset, has crushed their popular demands (anyone with any knowledge of our [mis] deeds would remind himself that the games of crushing & subjugating the Balochis started way back in the early nineteen sixties). In my view, the mistakes committed in the past must not be allowed to fade away to avoid sad repetition, let the memory be there to remind us that this just can not continue. It takes national realization and resolution to give all the people in the country and the Federating Units of the Federation of Pakistan must get what is their rights.
