Ali Moeen Nawazish and Ghulam Mustafa with a new episode of Better Pakistan discussing importance of political awareness for youth. They also discussed Ansar Abbasi vs Nazir Naji debate in Capital Talk (5 Nov ,2009) on issue of accountability of media and also PPP govt vs media issue in with refrence to Off The Record (6 Nov, 2009) and ending the program on discussion on NRO and possible solution for President Asif Ali Zardari.
“Love thyself last: cherish those hearts that hate thee;
Corruption wins not more than honesty.”
Why GM keep staring Ali , all the time when he is speaking?
cool stuff keep it up.
So, Zardari can pardon all his fellow thugs. We cannot touch him until he is the President of the Islamic Republic. I suppose these pardons will be written as (الحدیتھ شہید بھٹو زرداری) in the history of Pakistan.
But what will happen to Zardari when he is eventually kicked out of the presidency? Can a President pardon itself or Zardari has to find a Zardari of Musharraf for himself? Which class of rulers will that be from or we already have a ready made pardoner, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari?
Ali used a word “Choocha” (alt word Chooza in Urdu) for himself. Be careful using such slangs. Last time Nusrat Javed used this word in Bolta Pakistan, pkpolitics commenter interpreted it as “choo*ia”.

Hey guys, I suggest to get some hands on training for the production of videos. The sound has a high frequency white noise, with a slight (کنوان) echo effect. Try to take close-up shots of the individual speaker. (Oh yes, for close up, you may have to spend some money on HD makeup, which you may not find in your household dresser. Some education about the use of HD-MU from your significant others may be valuable)

wat a B++ ’s A++ crap…..
this is not America man, and there will never be a YOUTH, high class, and middle high class turn out in elections….
if it was youth, Imran Khan would not be getting worried about his single seat……
by the way, cant you find a single Muslaim/Pakistani’s quote for your opening …………. but u did put Gandhi the cow unrine drinker’s…..
this clearly shows, where this show is coming and where going…….
@ black panther
Youso called defender of NZARIYA E PAKISTAN.
stop issuing certtficates of patriotism
@Black Panther,
It would have been better if you had watched the program first before commenting. The only thing you moron was able to come up against this program was a single line of text from the intro?
Just for your information, the majority of population in Pakistan next election will be under 25 years of age, therefore I agree with these guys that youth has to be targeted and educated.
Secondly, some jerks like you will never be ashamed of saying things, even against assets like Ali Moeen Nawazish, who is one of the smartest boy of his age and pride of Pakistan on this planet.
@Black Sheep,
To safeguard democracy the people must have a keen sense of independence, self-respect, and their oneness – Gandhi.
Since this is Indian quote, you should do exactly opposite of this.
And also, please stop using your computer immediately, since most of the software including Windows etc has been heavily written by Indian programmers.
BONGA PROGRRAM with bonghay persons, why should we watch u, what credibility do u have what u are saying.
I COULD NOT WATCH EVEN ONE MINUTE. Bring some inside stories of poltics, discussing some other talk shows, as it has been written in some comments.
FAZOOL PROGRRAM
ali bro i think program is much better than the first one.
n yeah GM sahab keep looking at u all da time

n i would request all to appericiate ur efforts…
thanks.

Awesome!
Amazing show Ali! Expected nothing less from you man.
As for the advice for our honourable President towards the end of the show, I’d love to see it all happen!
So far too good…
Keep it up.
Hope to see you guys again next week with something even more interesting.
Regards.
Good Effort guys…
Butt in Off The Record PPPP guy was “Afzal Chan” not “Gondal”…….
why these two guys are posing as they are authority on politics??????????????
very confusing……
they should come up with some new ideas to discuss other than politics.
1. agree with redemption on the production aspect.
2. the prog. itself can use greater organization in terms of introducing what the episode will try to cover… why and to what end. (it seems to drift right now)
3. though it uses the clip from capital talk…the anchors fail to introduce why they want the viewer to watch this. imo….the clip was too long. and could have been easily edited down to a a couple of minutes….
4. it ended abruptly….without summarizing the conclusion.
5. it definitely needs a left of center voice to divorce it from the impression that this is a right wing discussion of politics and current affairs. where is the TK element??
6. do the two anchors think that ansar abassi is anti-jinnahist? given that he has declared that he is an islamist….is he anti-jinnahist pakistan??
7. does the panel not see a distinct right wing tendency in the electronic media of pakistan.
8. was this program about greater clarity of what ‘politics’ is? or what it is in pakistan?? or accountability of media? or the zardari issuing his pardon to his cronies??
9. it would be informative and educational …if sources , books, authors, interviews were cited and links provided…for greater study of the prog.
more later…
Good points Kafka but a nonsensical one wbout the rightist tendency in Pakistani media. easy way of abusing opponents for a lot of people?
Right and Left is not wirrten in stone – the perspectives are different in each society. Just because someone is religious in Pakistan doesn’ necessarily qualify them as a rightist…particuarly if their economic views would most certainly be considered leftist.
@pakirev
well?? is it not?? after all ….a certain cultural brainwashing was done with full state power… by the faujistan empire (zia episode)….this media does have a tendency of telling me what my morality should be…besides, journalists who wear their religion on their sleeves…for me …leave a very bad taste in the mouth!!! they should be reporting on all facts…not selective facts ..
i may be mistaken but has ansar abassi ever written about the land scam of the defence housing schemes of faujistan???
Mr. Black Panther:
When you decided to rate this show with a grade, please set forth what ever criterion you govern your judgement with.
Kennedy once said “Failure arises only when you refuse to correct.” It is important that we have dedication within ourselves, and inculcate such a spirit in others. Being unable or unworthy of doing something does not make it implausible.
You don’t need to make comparisons to Imran Khan, whose support and opinion is based on a variety of factors. The youth can bring about change. It is only a few people like you who try to stop the betterment of the nation with your morale dampening bull shit.
And in reference to the comment you made on Gandhi. While I do not make comparisons or opinion, it is a fact that Gandhi was one of the greatest men to have lived here. Einstine once said about him “Many a generations will wonder how an entity like Gandhi existed in flesh and blood.” His teachings of discipline and virtue contributed to the independence of British India, as well as the foundation of the world’s largest democracy-India.
More importantly, it is not the man who is important, it is the meaning and effect of the quote.
I don’t know where this show is coming from, but I do where the check setting you up to rant such treasonous remarks is coming from.
You need to grow up. The world is more complicated than you servant-quarter style debate.

You should verify your thought or concern before sharing it on a platform such as this.
Mr. tif
No one is posing any authority on politics in the show, by imposing your judgement you are the one posing authority on politics.
Plato: Man is by nature a political animal.
Politk is an instinct all men have. Because of the condition of our country and the need to reform, it is every one’s duty to bring nationalism into themselves and inculcate a similar spirit in others.
Ali Moeen and the man are doing a stellar job in their own capacity. If you do not have any constructive criticism to share with these honorable men, with all due respect, please chuv your judgement up your @$$
Kafka,
I don’t see how army issue has to do anything with left and right.
How many so called PPP loving secular liberal leftist journalists, how which there are too many, have brought up such issues.
The point you raise is important – the army is involved in HUGE abuses and most people, including myself, has no idea of the scale of corruption regarding land near Gwadar and so on. But very clearly the journalists are afraid of ISI.
Wasn’t it the Guardian that revealed that the missing persons were being tortured in Rawalpindi by ISI and our journalists with their team of insiders didn’t ever reveal such a thing.
So you can accuse them to cowardice, sure not the other allegations.
Just for further improvement, here is what I mentioned last time about what should be covered…
***
These programmes need to be better planned and supported with more research – all in all, more professionalism is needed.
What would be really helpful is to do programmes on issues that are not discussed all so often. Finding information on Emergency Plus isn’t hard but what about historical perspectives…
How was governance in the 90s? How well did PPP and PML get on together during the 90s and how did their problems hurt the system? How were the PPP and PML governments removed (twice) in the 90s? What does that tell us about the parties’ mentality and strategy now?
What is the truth about Jinnahpur?
What is the army’s current involvement in the economy?
Who were the bureaucrats and army officers who supported Musharraf? Are they still in power? What about their assets?
There are lots of important things that the youth need to be informed of. This lack of historical perspective becomes evident when people bluntly criticse NS for trying to support the current government but they don’t understand they NS has been burnt twice and he knows that the people trying to push AZ out will push other strong leaders out too.
And as we didn’t have a vibrant media during this period, even many adults might not know these issues in all that detail because reading newspapers closely requires much more effort than watching Hamid Mir or Talat Hussain while sipping tea in your bedroom.
Please correct On the Record show it was PPP Afzal Chand n not Nazar Gondil
@revo
ISI is a geopolitical requirement of the state of pakistan…how it is used by Faujistan is another matter. and really if the journalists are ..as u suggest afraid of being picked up for reporting on the corruption of faujistan (not fauj…please note the distinction), then really…i think my point re: ansar is only confirmed.)
but by and by…i guess we are on the same side of the line…whatever that line or side is

Keep it up !!
ShakirQureshi,
Karwan e Fikar-UK.
Excellent effort by Ali and GM.
I didn’t know about this program but its one of the smartest efforts to bring awareness among youth.
I can understand the limitations regarding resources such as to have more cameras, better voice quality and better content but nevertheless it is a descent effort.
Presence of person like Ali Nawazish already puts a lot of weight in terms of respect and intellectual capabilities.
One suggestion would be to put less effort on discussing the political talk shows and their contents instead to concentrate more on bringing social and political awareness among youth. I think the youth who watches these programs already knows the darker sides of our political class and thus now need to tell them how they can become the true, honest and confident guardians of future generations. This dark episode should end now and we are very close to witness a new dawn.
best wishes and don’t let us down.
@virgoind
Nobody can challenge his A’s. He made world record and we should proud of him. Any body can debate his viewpoint but I think he is extra ordinary student.
@ddrma
we don’t proud of him bcz. we know the truth. it’s just the media which made him something special. people of his age has done masters already….so no proud for sure. it’s fake.
@ virgoind
we don’t proud of him bcz. we know the truth.
“we know the truth”. What?
