A small suggestion for our anchor persons, they should all take a course in spoken english and public speaking in english. I noticed them searching for words when Hillary was here and on countless other events.

Also, having a guest like Hersh on the phone, the producers should have had the question formulated for him ahead of time including intro to the program. It is not enough for the producers to dial someone’s number and patch them on air.

Why do our leaders not learn, they should stop meeting with people in the western press.

The reality is non of us really know what our leaders have given away to the Yanks. But a word of advice for the yanks is that they should first get there own house in order before they point the finger and to state the obvious are the only country in the world use these weapons.

Below is a link when a B52 Bomber flew over the US without knowing that the plane was loaded with nuclear weapons.

Now every 2nd News Channel provide due respect & attention to Rtd. HG but I remind to all this is the same HG who has been telling these Dangerous American Aims with her Co-Declared Natural Allied Partners e.g. India, Israel & Brits for the last decade in constant manner – when American entered into Iraq at that time upon his comments the privileged ruling elite used to make fun of him – moreover according to their views he was declared a Biased Conspiracy Theory Lover — as now-a-days the same English Speaking Ruling Elite is making fun of IK & Munwar Hussain.

General Hameed Gul claims that Pervez Musharraf ensured americans that there would be 72 hours difference between weapon and delivery mechansim. Does’nt it alarming?

Then Musharraf tells Hersh that we have built an underground mechanism of tunnels. Do we need to tell it to the Americans?

Then Hersh confirmed that Zardari was clear about his article and question, then what he told him?

If this is the situation then it seems that we have actually agreed on a security mechansim with the Americans for our device.

  • Noble said:

Dr. A Q Khan statement is the key when he says Musharraf provided nuclear details to the americans and sent centrifuges to viena. It becomes clear that Musharraf and Zardari were on board on nuclear issue thats why PPP was so quick to agree to Kerry Lugar bill.

  • Wajahat said:

Nadeem Malik insisted on the right question that when the situation has become so suspicious why not cabinet or nuclear command authority meets and reviews the whole situation and adopts a national plan of action.
If it was musharraf who sold national secrets, ppp should not be afraid to correct the situation. Party of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto who founded this programme whould not be part of the sell out plan.
Army statement refuting the news item should not be considered enough. Tell the whole truth to the nation.

  • adilhussain said:

What is going on in our country. First there were stories about private american security firms and now even worst case scenario. who takes these decisions. Obviously no one man should be competent enough to decide on such matters on shich whole national security depends.

  • adilhussain said:

May I suggest to our foreign ministry, instead of telling us who is anti Pakistan, just tell us factual details. We have the ability to decide who is anti Pakistan. Don’t want to listen it from people who made speeches in support of kerry lugar bill.

Samuel harsh is simply arrogant b@stard. He does not do such thing if asked same question on CNN or other american outlet. He has been asked question he should answer it rather smirkingly telling that it is clear in his article.

Hamid Gul, despite whatever he did in the past, was spot on. Its a very serious issue and should not be left on Zaradri and Musharraf to decide.

  • JJ Khan said:

Very arrogant attitude of seymore hersh.

Traitors are occupying all key posts and are facilitating disarming of Pakistan.

Mushy has become cheap and to grab attention he doesn’t even hesitate to throw his kitchen sink.

    State Department on New Yorker:

The US has no intention of seizing Pakistani nuclear weapons or material – we see Pakistan as a key ally in our common effort to fight violent extremists and to foster regional stability,” .
US was “working very closely with Pakistan on a number of important initiatives regarding regional security”. “We do provide them with assistance, as you know,” , but “We have confidence in the ability of the Pakistani government to provide adequate security for their nuclear programmes and materials.”

Cleverly chosen language where news content has not been rejected in totality, instead they say we have no intention to seize.

Could you please put on Dr Shahid and Shaheen Sahbai,s Interview
    With Seymour Hersh .

  • noorjan said:

Seymore Hersh sounded very arrogant like he was upset by the phone call made to him.On the other hand our elite leader ship feel so proud to talk these jerks from the west even the most sensitive information.I do not know what is so special about these foreign journalists.Westerns tell their citizens not to travel to Pakistan but huge number of their scribes are here and no body hurts them. They are treated like privileged people free to meet anybody and yet they never miss any opportunity to defame Pakistan and dig the dirt on our religion and make fun of us.I just want to ask these foreign journalists honestly tell the world who is extremist Muslims or Christians ,Jews and Hindu,s.

  • danishwar said:

We are just so impressed by these foreigners and we suspend all of our activities to accommodate them knowingly that these people do not have good intentions about us.On the other hand our leaders do not have time for their own people and they consider it interposition if some body of our own go to see them.To the foreigners they open their heart both to accommodate them and to give all the information even the most sensitive one.

  • sianibili said:

What our agencies are doing why these people from other countries disguised as journalists are not checked and have opportunity to meet any body and talk what ever they like. These foreigners in different fields of life who tell us that they are here to help us actually work for different foreign agencies and their intentions are very dangerous.Seymour Hersh,Pamila canstable and other foreign journalists constantly doing negative reporting against Pakistan its nuclear programme our religion and society and yet they are in Pakistan for years un-noticed doing what ever they like and going where ever they like. How in the world they have access to meet any body even the very top officials of Pakistan.

  • khochal said:

All three guests had one common opinion that most of the things in the Symour Hersh story are based on assumptions rather than facts and no body can give any information about Pakistan nuclear programme, then why journalists like Symour Hersh are not banned to come to Pakistan because they charecter is more like a espionage rather than a scribe.Next time if this man come to Pakistan he should be arrested and questioned who he works for? But there is no chance we free Americans with illegal weapons and fictitious number plate on their car how can we expect our government to take any action against these cons.

There was no such thing Seymour Hersh was not willing to talk he pretended that he can not listen clearly to avoid any question. Here is a good example that how arrogant and impertinent these foreigners are,on the other hand our leaders and officials give them undue respect. These foreigners go back to their countries and talk crap about Pakistan.Americans from the day one are doing their best to harm Pakistan every possible way Gul Hameed very correctly said that people who believe America is our friend should open their eyes now.

YET another revelation has come out from a US journalist on secret deals between the US and the Pakistani state regarding US access to Pakistan’s nuclear arsenal – all in the name of security. There have been the usual denials and protests from the Foreign office and other quarters, but there is a larger problem here. This is not the first time such revelations have come from US official and journalistic sources. Periodically, the news erupts of some secret understanding between the US and Pakistan regarding our nukes. Nor will this cycle ever end, unless there is a total reversal of policy relating to dealings with the US.
The first issue that needs to be dealt with is that of access. Why do we continue to give so much access to US journalists when we know their intent? The Foreign Office now claims that Hersh revealed his well-known anti-Pakistan bias. If that was the case, why was he given a visa? Once he did manage to arrive, why did the Foreign Office not ensure he was denied access to the Presidency? Should they not be briefing the president to ensure nothing untoward gets said or gaffe committed? All US journalists provided access unlimited in Pakistan go back to do damaging stories of Pakistan based on half-truths, lack of understanding and playing to the Western gallery. Yet officialdom in Pakistan continues to fawn over these people and giving them all manner of facilities and sensitive access.

This letter in THENATIN reflects my and every Pakistani,s true feelings.

Problem for Pakistanis is the absence of real leadership. people like Musharraf and Zardari are imposed upon us, which do everything that goes against the interest of Pakistan. Personally they get reward for their services to their masters, but the nation ends up in debt burden. Thats the whole story since independence.

Our government should at least show some responsibility on our nuclear programme.A little mistake can cost us dearly.Government should come forward with some clear policy and ban every body to talk about our nuclear programme except some authorized people who can talk carefully and only if necessary.Government should also ban these crooks to come to Pakistan and make false reports about our nuclear programme and our country.

With all that has been happening in this region, one had tended to push the Indo-Israeli relationship on the backburner. This was not wise because the military dimension of this relationship is critical and has been a major factor in India’s military policies in Occupied Kashmir. Post-9/11 the Israeli factor has always covertly been present in Afghanistan because Israel was one of the first country to move into the Central Asian States energy sector after the demise of the Soviet Union and the emergence of independent Central Asian States. Israel has been a major contributor to India’s defence profile, including cooperation in defence production. When India led the few states who welcomed the Missile Defence programme of the Bush Administration, the shadow of Israel was there and one knew the major role it would be playing in helping India acquire missile defence capability. US technology and arms transfers through Israeli labels! So it should not have come as a surprise to find yet another military agreement coming into being – this time the $1.1 billion contract between India and Israel, for an upgraded air defence system for India. The system, produced by Israel, is designed for naval use, aboard ships, and can shoot down incoming missiles, planes and drones.
This will add to India’s missile defence capability, thereby further destabilising the nuclear balance in South Asia. So clearly Pakistan will have to add to its nuclear delivery systems and warheads if it wants to keep its deterrence credible. But even more relevant is the clear indication that India is all set to go full steam ahead to develop a second strike capability – first there was the nuclear submarine programme and now this air defence deal. The aggressive designs of India’s military acquisitions are now hardly oblique. It is strange that the US would allow the increasing militarisation of this region by deliberately disturbing the nuclear equation through its 123 Agreement with India and by allowing Israel to add to the imbalance. Or is the US still assuming it can gain control over Pakistan’s nukes in the scenario outlined in earlier columns?
But the Indo-Israeli deal has repercussions for the neighbourhood also. For instance, through this deal Israel will get more naval access through India in the immediate vicinity of Pakistan and Iran. At any future date, it will make it much more feasible for Israel to target Iran from the sea – and keep the US and its Arab allies out of the equation, saving them a political crisis. For Pakistan also this presents further complications to its security parameters. Already, we are confronted with a two-front war: one at home with extremists in our midst; and a second through the covert low intensity conflict being waged by India, aided and abetted by the US, in Pakistan’s sensitive provinces of Balochistan and NWFP as well as FATA. The flow of weapons and money coming in from Afghanistan for this purpose has now been established without a shadow of doubt, by our government but for some strange reason it merely makes declaratory accusations while taking no action.

Read this article of Dr Shireen Mazari. It make us wonder why America has no problem with Indo-Israel relationship? May be because it pose threat to Pakistan and other Muslim countries security and that well serve American purpose of extremism against Muslims and Islam.

  • machoman said:

The fawning attitude of our leader ship has taken us this far that a ordinary American has access to highest government officials of Pakistan and talk what ever they want. Our leader ship is so irresponsible that just because a American is asking some questions even on most sensitive issues he is obliged with irresponsible answers which later on become a big problem For Pakistan. Our national hero,s like A Q Khan have been defamed by western as criminals and our governments especially treason Musharaf are also responsible for the damage done to Pakistan.

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton recently on her three-day official visit to Pakistan said: “I find it hard to believe that nobody in your government knows where they are, and couldn’t get to them if they really wanted to, Maybe that’s the case; maybe they’re not gettable. I don’t know.”
Ms Clinton’s parting kick negated the positivity of her visit. Once again a formal charge of wrongdoing has been brought against Pakistan without any concrete evidence and on only unfounded information. Pakistan needs to watch out; three days after his inauguration, on January 23, 2009, President Barack Obama ordered US predator drones to hit inside Pakistan. Since that first Obama-authorised attack, United States has repeatedly bombed Pakistan, killing scores of civilians including women and children. The New York Times recently reported that the attacks were clear evidence that the Obama Administration “is continuing, and in some cases extending, the Bush Administration’s policy.”
During his presidential campaign, the US president made it clear that Pakistan’s sovereignty was subservient to American interests, saying that the US forces would “attack with or without the approval of the Pakistani government.” And if the Americans had “actionable intelligence” that “high value” targets were in Pakistan, they would attack. In the same context, the US secretary of state echoed similar sentiments on her campaign trail and “did not rule out US attacks inside Pakistan,” citing the missile attacks her husband, former President Bill Clinton, had ordered against Osama bin Laden in Afghanistan in 1998. “If we had actionable intelligence that Osama bin Laden or other high-value targets were present in Pakistan I would ensure that they were targeted and killed or captured,” she maintained.

Above is a excerption of a article in todays THENATION it is worth reading. It gives a thoughtful perspective of Pak-American relationship.

While Pakistani leading TV channels have voluntarily devised a code of ethics, America lags
behind. Fox News’s Shepherd Smith just could not resist the temptation to give away the identity of the alleged killer. Throwing journalistic ethics to the winds, Smith did not hold his tongue. And nor could the lady senator from Texas, Kay Bailey Hutchison. “The name tells us a lot, does it not, Senator?” he asked tellingly. “It does, Shepherd. And that’s why it’s a very sad situation,” she said without batting her heavy-mascara eyelid. The senator, a la Agatha Christie, the mystery writer, then sketched early snapshots of Hasan, accounts typically given by law enforcement authorities rather than a sitting United States senator.

Hutchison had already hinted that the killer was a Muslim, inferring that Muslims kill Americans. She said that she had known that the man was unhappy and wanted to be relieved from the army. Perhaps Hasan approached Hutchison to help him get a discharge from the army. Had the woman really cared to listen and tried to help the 39-year-old psychiatrist begging the army not to send him to Iraq, maybe she could have averted the savage slaughter.

But nobody is even asking the senator these questions.

Anjum Niaz is my favourite journalist a true patriotic woman above is a excerption of her article in The NEWS today.See how Muslims are being treated in America and the kind of language Americans use against our religion and their prejudices against Islam.

Every body should pray for Pakistan in most difficult times of its history.Yes these are not easy days for Pakistan but our nation has this ability with the blessing of Allah to hold together in difficult times and i am sure Pakistan will prevail Insha-Allah.Our enemy will be defeated the only thing is this that we should not be disappointed we should support our troops in Wazirastan because they are fighting with a clear and present danger inflicted on us by America,India and Israel with the help of local miscreants. Once again i request every body to pray for Pakistan and ask Allah for forgiveness because our beloved prophet said “You will get rulers like you are”. So our rulers are not good because we are not.

Make no mistake; this is a war between Zardari Inc. and the establishment. Their proxies are doing the battle. The stakes are very high and this war shows no signs of abatement.

Things are being orchestrated by Zardari’s side to badly damage military’s image, Brig. Imtiaz episode was meant to shoot two birds (Nawaz and military) with one shot, Kerry Lugar was answered with attack on the GHQ (thanks to Rehman Malik and Ambassador Haqani for bringing in and strategically positioning XE or Blackwater folks), and now our ambassador in the US has pulled a good one in Hirsh’s article in the New Yorker, with the implication that the military is bargaining and trading our hard earned nuclear assets for money with the Americans. However, Hirsh has also played mischief by quoting Musharraf’s comments to discredit Zardari and then relating it to the fact that Mush is in touch with Kayani.

Establishment side has used MQM to effectively block NRO from passing in the parliament and thrown in Zardari land grab affair and now French submarines kickback and attack incident that killed their Navy personnel in Karachi.

This war has a potential of taking Pakistan to the abyss.
