Zardari has openly shown what he plans to do through statement of Khurshid Shah, he will fully exploit Sindh card to stick to power. He knows it very well that in a situation where Balochistan is already burning, army fighting in NWFP, there will no room for establishment to deal with Sindh crisis.
It appears to be tough time for politics.

PPP members have nothing else to say except establishment is conspiring against PPP AND democracy. When ever a PPP leader is asked what PPP government has done to facilitate common people life in two years they try to dodge the question, and they are really expert on that they say words with no meanings .Asma Arbab Alamgir was doing same thing in last night show but feelings of humiliation were obvious on her face when NM repeated his question many times that what PPP has delivered in two years. No matter how badly establishment is conspiring it is very clear that Zardari is a corrupt man and shame for the country.

All PPP has in self defence is a story of Shaheed ZAB and BB, but what they are doing now, they don’t have any answer. It is so unfortunate to have the most corrupt people like Zardari, Rehman Malik and Hussain Haqqani ruling this country.

PPP has only one argument that Zardari is a democratically elected president, yes but what is that mean he is not corrupt?if some body is democratically elected it abolish his crimes?Zardazri should had not elected on the first place his past like Khush Bakht Shujaat said was obvious then why PPP chose him for this most prestigious post of Pakistan. My advice to PPP workers is that if you care about Pakistan stop aggrandizing Zardari and do what a patriotic party should do for the better future of Pakistan.

I will like to ask this question if Zardari is such a good person why BB never let him participate in politics? why she kept him in the background all the time?there were rumors that Zardari once slap on her face.If you love SHAHEED BB then how in the world you can support a man who was no good to his wife BeNazir Bhutto rather than we expect him to be good to Pakistan.

Yes Zardari is a corrupt man but do not forget Gillani he got loans from ZTBank few years back of millions of rupees on her wife name and they are all right off in a out side court settlement few weeks ago.The real leader ship of PPP is neglected and ignored by Zardari and Gillani and think tank of thugs has taken over PPP.Majority of the PPP members in the government were unknown to the public before elections and if there were some people public was familiar with they were known for their crimes and those very people are in the government and have control on PPP.

Roidad Khan was right to say that the character of head of state should be squeaky clean.Name one more head of state in the world who has bad reputation like Zardari .Man is not criticized after he was elected president but his reputation was all the way in the gutter before he was elected. There are few good men in PPP why they were not nominated for the president. It is obvious that this man not only has bad reputation as a president but also with in the party he is not very popular.Majority of the PPP workers keep distance from him.Other PPP leaders have to praise him because they have no other choice other wise they will be kicked out of the party.Zardari,s approval rate among PPP workers is less than 50%.

What is the performance of PPP so far let me tell you looting ,squattering, fawning to Americans. If this is good governance like PPP claim then what was wrong with Musharaf he was doing all that much better than PPP.There is not a single thing we could differentiate from Musharaf era.All of Musharaf appointees are still in government because they are the favorites of Americans. So PPP claim that democracy has been restored is wrong. It is a another arranged set up of America for its own interest.

Things have been worsen since PPP has taken over.It is shame the way women children and older people standing in the queues all day long for basic necessities. Can PPP leader ship mention just one thing they have done to ease out common people life.Last night there was another good news for Pakistanis that electricity will go up by 18% next year.Thank you PPP for good governance and democracy.

Zardari and his group of loot khasoot has destabilized Pakistan. It would be good for the country if get rid of such a corrupt mafia, like Rehman Malik, Raja Pervez Ashraf and others of their type.
Get them first and do not give Zardari an opportunity to blakmail by using his so called Sindh Card, which I think he has already lost due to suspicision of Sindhis that he was involved in cases like Murtza Bhutto and even his role is not so clean so far in BB case.
His most trusted leiutenant Rehman Malik was incharge of security of BB.
So, people who should know the real facts are Zardari, Rehman Malik and Gen Pervez Musharraf. Let’s see if Zardari is willing to tell the whole truth to the nation.

The experience of democracy becomes painful in Pakistan due to failure of the corrupt leaders and civil-military strife. There should be an effort to save the system so that people of Pakistan do not suffer another 10 year under a worst dictator like Musharraf.

This is only possible through political accommodation and reforming the power structures like powers of President, PM and role of the opposition leader, greater transparency and more openness.

It may not suit zardari or even Nawaz Sharif to have an open, transpraent and accountable system of governance where all the sinners are given a free and fair trial and people of Pakistan are saved from the crooks.

If 17th amendment and 52-B had been abolished there would have not been so much hostility against Zardari. He promised that he will be the first president to surrender his authority for the sake of democracy but he did not, so if any body conspired against democracy it is Zardari himself. It is not just military do not trust him it is the whole country.By the way what is he doing for the country PPP workers can not give one example o0f something he has done good for the country. So what is the reason to keep him in office ? there should be a better choice and better performance.

THERE seems to be a new onslaught of pressure by the US on Pakistan, despite the fact that the US has never had so much official compliance from the Pakistani state as it does at present. Yet the US is not satisfied and the reason is fairly apparent by now. It would appear that the military has not got itself into a quagmire in SWA, unlike NATO and the US military in Afghanistan. This means that the US will find it much harder to convince the world that Pakistan’s nuclear assets must be handed over to international, that is American, control. Yet the US had everything else in place for this purpose including a special team to grab these assets.

Zardari would never realize how badly he had damaged the institution of Presidency. First there were used to military dictator to ruin this nation. COAS was holding powers of President and Chief Executive under Musharraf.
Now zardari has experimented a new thing, co-chairman of PPP, holds party meetings in President House, draws all his powers not from people of Pakistan who voted his party to power, but from Washington, which paved the way for his NRO arrangement with Musharraf.
So one of the most corrupt person around was abel to become President, despite the fact that he was under muder investigation on three counts.
Is he any different from Musharraf?

WHAT many of us had suspected for some years now, that the US wanted to take out our nuclear weapons one way or another, has been confirmed by a senior US journalist, Seymour Hersh. It was never feasible for the US to take out our weapons by military targeting, so their aim has been to create enough instability in the country and thereby justify taking the nukes in their custody. They are seeking access to our triggers and weapon systems’ sites but have failed so far. The Hersh account also talks of an erroneous alert whereby the US mobilised a rapid response force which actually arrived in Dubai before realising the alarm was false.
Now the US must think we are really stupid for no matter how much anyone demonises the military, there is absolutely no way in which the Pakistan military will give any access to the US in terms of our actual weapons or even their whereabouts. But unfortunately, Musharraf and others have given away too many hints and there is also the factor of the Presidency and Farhatullah Babar, who was for many years working with the PAEC at a time when security was more lax. By collecting enough hints of information, the US can connect the dots, especially if they also have boots on the ground for physical surveillance and purchase of information.
Hersh is right in talking about the US plan to grab our nuclear triggers but trying to claim it as a bilateral agreement with the military is false and meant to undermine the military as well as hope that in its denials some further revelations may be made. The aborted action in Dubai by special US forces was more likely a dry run than an aborted mission. The growing presence of covert US personnel around Islamabad and in the US mission is a direct security threat for Pakistan. All those caught with weapons and then released plus the presence of DynaCorp and Xe Worldwide are now fitting into the larger threatening picture. No wonder the Sihala facility has become a virtual fortress for US security personnel just as the training facility in Rawat offers the US a covert operational base. One is not sure how much the government has compromised on our nuclear assets with the US since it continues to provide shelter to these covert operatives in their questionable activities. But why has the military adopted such a tolerant approach to this blatant US intrusiveness? It is probably true that the team meant to seize our nuclear assets is already housed in the US embassy. Surely it is time for the government to come clean and send these Americans back before it is too late – if it is not already so.

Above article in THENATION tells us lot about American intentions about our nuclear arsenals and our own people who connived with Americans.

Pakistan ranks 42nd in global corruption index: TI
According to the latest Transparency International (TI) corruption report, Pakistan has become more corrupt as compared to 2008.

The TI announced its report today in which Pakistan had moved up quite a few positions in the list of the most corrupt countries and ranked at number 42 in the list.

Releasing the annual report, the TI chief in Pakistan, Adeel Gilani, had said that anti-corruption efforts in the country had taken a 180 degree turn after Gen Pervez Musharraf issued the National Reconciliation Ordinance on October 5, 2007, 56 days after the ratification of the UN Convention against Corruption.

A clear proof of venal PPP government corrupt Zardari and company.

Those who hoped that the Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s recent statement expressing his readiness to discuss all issues with Pakistan would presage an end to the persisting diplomatic impasse were bound to be disappointed.

Mr Singh actually said little that was new. During his visit to Srinagar on October 26, he said he was not setting pre-conditions but the “practical aspect” was that talks would not make headway unless Pakistan took effective action against terrorism. His readiness for talks was, therefore, placed squarely in the context of Pakistan being able to create an “atmosphere that is fruitful for negotiations”.

This pronouncement was neither accompanied nor followed by any move by Delhi to re-engage Islamabad in a dialogue. Quite the contrary. Delhi declined to respond to the ‘road map’ for resuming talks that Pakistan had conveyed to Indian officials on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) session in New York.

It is quite customary for Indian leaders visiting the troubled valley to talk peace. The timing of Prime Minister Singh’s remarks provides an even better indication of his intent. His peace rhetoric coincided with the US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s visit to Pakistan. The remarks also came ahead of his upcoming visit to Washington — the first state visit of the Obama presidency. Thus one aim could have been to preclude the possibility of the US injecting itself into the Pakistan-India equation on Kashmir.

Above is a excerption of Dr Maliha lODHI ARTICLE IN thenews. It is worth reading.
