Nawab Hair Biar Marri was as expected repeating his hard demands and supporting operations of Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), but now its time to do something meaningful. In Hair Biar’s words it was an attempt to buy time, but if the parliament really exists and there are some people in that house who really care about Pakistan, they should seriously go for follow up actions, contact all Baloch leaders and bring them on board.
As a compromise arrangement it would not be a bad ide ato appoint Akhtar Mengal as Governor Balochistan. He is moderate and would be able to talk to people like Marri and Bugti.
NM asked Kaira to announce amnesty for all Baloch leaders as a major CBM and go for major peace effort. The Minister replied indirectly by saying he will suggest it to his party. It should be the starting point. Show big heart and try to mainstream all Baloch youth. It will squeeze space for India or America or in otherwords RAW, CIA and MI6 need to be pushed out of Balochistan by embracing our youth.
Giving them jobs and economic opportunities, they are part of us. After all this, if there are elements who continue to sabotage, deal them with an iron hand.

You are absolutely right the situation in Balochistan is precarious but our leader ship do not have vision or courage to tackle the problem. There is a group of people mainly from Nawab and Sardar families who have already decided not to agree for a peaceful resolution. Government can bent backward and offer them ay thing and every thing they demanded in the past but it will be turned down.
This misguided group is playing in the hands of foreign powers. These searatist do not realize that they will be the biggest losers if Balochistan is not with Pakistan, they will be treated like a colony by these foreign powers.
Also these extremists forget that a big population of Pathan,Hazara and other races also live in Balochistan who will aggressively oppose Baloch movement to form a separate state.
I do not think negociations will work at all.
Pakistan needs some urgent actions to ensure peace in Balochistan, NWFP, but our government does not have time for peace or security of our people, becasue we are too busy to ensure safety of americans.
Americans are benefiting more from the taliban’s activity inside Pakistan. Defeat of taliabn inside pakistan will mean 100% taliban focus on Afghanistan.
Save Pakistan first before settling score with each other. Zardari needs to realize that once he has assumed the office of President he has to think about whol eof Pakistan not just his own greed. Army needs to provide them needed support and opposition needs to high light issues consistently in the house and force the government to act right. There is no short cut. Its a long jounrney.

I partially agreed what you said but point is there is no positive step taken to resolve Balochistan problem.PPP promised to resolve this problem on priority basis but see after two years in government they came up with idea not acceptable to any Baloch leader.Kaira says it is package of suggestions.Sorry Mr Kaira after two years you could reach to suggestions not any solid solution.
The situation of Balochistan is very scary when common citizen pick up weapons against government then situation demands dire steps to be taken. It is Sardar,s or just common misguided Baloch youngsters government need to talk to them to make them understand actual facts and for the sake of Pakistan.

No body can deny what you said it is the demand of the time .Be wise leave your personal differences on the side and act fast.Call all the Baloch leaders from abroad and give them hope and confidence that they are one of us . Obama in a statement after meeting with Indian prime minister said that India is our natural ally.He also said that America and India should do every thing to prevent nuclear weapons to g0 in the hands of terrorist. Yes thats right it is time to give the charge in the hands of Baloch people.Instead of making rhetoric promises come forward with solid measures. Give the resources and government in the hands of Baloch people they are Pakistani,s let them make their own decisions.As a matter of fact give autonomy to all provinces to eliminate any possibility of complaints of abusable and exploitation.
