I think Hamid Mir has got his price as he is not in agressive mood these days. Talat Hussain, Kashif Abbasi and Nusrat are best

An anchor doesn’t explode on the set and we think he’s sold? Jeez.

Good show. The fact of the matter is that the parliament is just useless and even if Zardari gave away his powers, the retards in the parliament will go on destroying the country as they are now.

    Won’t be a huge change.

An informative show. Nusrat Javed is really good at explaining all those micro-level behind the scenes activities. Waheed Hussain was very simple and concise and conveyed his thoughts very clearly. Hamid Mir and Naseem Zehra seem optimistic and hopefully there is good reason for that optimism. Hamid Mir’s point about the judiciary in the beginning is very substantial if one considers the 31 July 2009 decision of the Supreme Court; therefore I don’t think he is ingratiating himself with anybody.

What a dirty politics and corrupt politicians. I am unable to understand, why these intellectuals accept and support democracy whole heartedly why not the rule of Allah. Present democracy means filter the corrupt most and put them on the highest posts. In the rule of Allah present corrupt most parlimentarians and the rulers cannot even come at front as candidates.

i think Talat Hussain and Kashif Abbasi should be guest more often than being hosts as they speak more openly when they are guests, specially Talat Hussain. May Allah protect them from any harm.

Good show but people r right that these people r assets of Pak and they shouldn’t get together like this as Zardari Maffia is hell bent on getting rid of them. Talat is superb as a guest especially with Kashif Abbasi. I sometime wonder do they realize that they r heroes of Pak and people love them. Nusrat and Hamid Mir spoke more but with little substance while Waheed Hussain was most impressive. Wish the host of Kal Tak was there too. Anyway v good and impressive program.

I hate it when they interrupt each other, i think HM was being sarcastic about Zardari wanting article six for Mushy.

They all talk about establishment as if they all get briefing from establishment. Nusrat Javaid has shown again that he is mature out of the lot. He was spot on when he asked about Kery louger Bill, now when the money will come in in Jan , how come establishment could make this as an issue to topple Zardari? also his questions about military aid for fighting in Waziristan and his valed questions about PM Gillani.
Nusrat was correct when he raised the question about Gillani that he exercise his right when ever he likes but when it comes to article 6 and so on he pretends that he has no powers. PM Gillani thought that he could decieve the nation by siding with Establishment, but that will not be hidden any more.
There are some more questions no anchor or journalist has courege to ask.
Q1. What was the role of Gen Kiani in formation of NRO?
Q2. What was the stand of Courp commanders at Musharaf’s trail?
Q3. What was the role of army establishment on judiciary re instatement?
There are some other questions, but we need real and straight forward journalists to ask those questions.

    Well,
I felt ashamed viewing this lot of key journalists. No body had clue about the dynamics of pakistani politics, its directions, conventions and norms except Waheed and Nusrat.
I had no idea that all of these key journalist are fools. Looks like they are prepared and rehearsed for their programs.
    I have noticed:
Not a single person had a good grasp of underlying variable and their effect.
Even with their non sense opinion, they did not know how to participate. I would give more then double marks Sh. Rashid, Kaira, Ayaz Amer even to Abid Sher Ali then these rehearsed journalists.
Hamid Mir should be rather called most stupid, then Kashif, Mushtaq, Nasim, Tallat.
Would you believe Tallat’s performance in conducting this show. Just compare this guy with Khurshid Nadeem (program ALAF).
I assessment is these guys are stooges and have no view of their own, they speak only what they are rehearsed and told to speak.
I know it is not pleasant to know all this, it was for me to but this the truth. This may be because this is first lot of anchors we have, they may not be as good as we have in print journalism.

Live with Talat program on 31/11/09 with different Anchors, was very ill judged. Co-Anchors also were forming unsubstantiated opinions and had exposed themselves to be non wiser than the people they suppose to expose. Hamid Mir was accused of lying by the lady, when he stated that lady was present at certain meeting, which she refuted. They also talk over each which no body can under-stand. My advice to them is. Wise one speaks because he has something to say, Unwise speaks because he have to say something.

In my opinion, unfortunately this program has given fuel to Mr Zardari’s comment of political actors interfering with politics. The Moral duty of a journalist is to read between the lines and find the truth for the public at large, when opinion and facts are mixed by a journalist, surly credibility is lost.

The difference between literature and journalism is that journalism is unreadable and literature is not read. I care and respect of the talk shows, which have become voice of the voiceless. Most of the main Anchors’ were present at this show and have failed their audience.

As far as Mr Talat is concerned, he comes across as right wing nationalist, without considering that Pakistan is surviving beyond its means with its corrupt and incompetent leaders going around with the begging bowl in their hands, beggars can never be choosers. Mr Talat is living in a dream world.
