Statements of Kamal Azfar in SC were meant to blackmail judges and generals to keep their hands away from Zardari otherwise they plan to exploit emotions of their vote bank in Sindh.
The time has now come for people like Agha, Fauzia Wahab and they like to be stopped from coming on these political shows and wasting our time, they have nothing substantive to say other then arguing.
Its time Supreme Court should issue a detailed judgement declaring NRO and such other laws void abnitio and asking cabinet ministers who benefitted to face courts and resign from their ministries. If Zardari enjoys immunity, he should be asked to seek foregiveness from the court or he should be awarded suspended punishment.
It should also be binding for Zardari to return all lotted wealth or justify how he got $1.5 billion. If there is a law, then corruption cases against Nawaz Sharif pending in NAB should also be decided. No immunity for anyone.
Same should also be applicable to Altaf Hussain and his party. No relief. Face trial.
NRO case implication would be much larger than expected if SC announces the decision in a truthful spirit. All cases would reopen and tainted persons would be required to leave the cabinet and other public offices.
The court should also provide guidelines on making assets and tax returns of President, PM, all MNAs, Ministers and top Generals and Supreme Court judges public. It should be mandatory to declare everything to public.
This will provide some sort of check on future corruption. NAB chairman qualification also needs to be determined, either a Supreme Court judge or someone equal to that status should be appointed on that position.
Lastly, there should be no immunity from investigation or punishment by courts to anyone sitting in upper or lower house. If there are serious charges like against Babar Awan or Rehman Malik or Raja Pervez Ashraf, they must be investigated and tried.
if Zardari does not go after decision of the NRO case, then nothing will change. Zardari is biggest thief and his tola of eighty robbers should also go. They should all be put in jail.
Nawaz Sharif should stop playing friendly opposition and demand Zardari’s resignation, otherwise people will think , they are all same in looting national resources.
PPP workers on tv shows never been dare to say that he is innocent.They always come up with argument of conspiracy that this man was behind the case or that.In any case if Zardari is innocent what they afraid of? let him face the case in the court and prove his innocence.
How shamelessly PML(Q) leaders criticize PPP workers and others for taking the advantage of NRO.Why do not they remember that they are the one to provide this opportunity.The name NRO was picked on the suggestion of Ch Shujjat the king of PML(Q). Today is the 38th anniversary of the separation of East Pakistan.How many of us even remember this day.The darkest day in the history of our country.India had support of Russia, america and England against Pakistan.Same forces are working against us again the only difference is this that in 1971 America,England and Russia were in the back ground but this time they are on the front.It means we are facing greater challenge this time than 1971.
