This governor Salman Taseer has no shame, he really is a ********. I mean if someone does NOT want to receive a Medal from you why do all the students have to take an Oath to say that if they Decline to receive Medal from you it won’t be given to them at all.
if the student does not want to receive a medal from the guest then its better that the student not appear in the convocation. WHats the point of making the guest look bad and making the whole convocation experience bad for the other students? A much better way to handle this would be for the students to write a petition and ask the university committee not to invite the guest that is creating such a division.
The student did the right thing by refusing the medal from Salman Taseer. You have to make the protest at the right time at the right place. There are examples where people have refused to accept Nobel Peace Prize and refused the title of ‘Sir’.
Salman Taseer (and Zardari, Rehman Malik, Fauzia Wahab etc) knows that they are not popular in the public (except Sindhi’s). Then why they come to attend public meetings.
If Zardari wants to feel the real taste of public mood, ask him to come in the general public only for 2 mins.

What would you say to that Iraqi journalist who threw shoes at President Bush in Baghdad. Do you remember he threw both shoes. According to you that journalist should have written a petition to Bush first. To me that Iraqi Journalist and this Lahore student are heroes, whereas your hero is Benazir NRO waali and Mr 10%.
@Masood Ahmad
Very sad to know that the Qadiani Leader Tahir Ahmad used to attend the meetings with Zulfiqar A Bhutto. (Ref: Dr Mubashir Hasan programme of 6th Dec)
And Qadianis still vote for Peoples Party.

Yusaf sb you arrrrrreeeee, “Mummy Daddy”, this is what suggestion shows. You believe university administration won’t invite Salman Taseer on demand of students, and what a nice suggestion you are giving, “if the student does not want to receive a medal from the guest then its better that the student doesn’t not appear in the convocation. A degree for which a student spends over 22 years, student shouldn’t appear to get it. What a suggestion?
Brother! what’s so sad about being jamatia or whatever???? Don’t we believe in any democracy or free will???? if someone chooses jamat-e-islami or mqm or any party, this is his/her own business….we can discuss and criticize any political group with valid arguments but we can’t discard other human being just because of his/her affiliations…
personally i really dislike all the so called islamic political groups in Pak as in my opinion they use religion for their own dirty interests…but i dont hate all of them or anything…
I hope you wouldn’t mind my difference of opinion…
and even if we suppose that being jamatia means totally satanic and evil, then you mentioned it yourself that he is “ex” jamatia, not a current one…so can’t we forgive him for his past “sins”???

No one refused Sir or Nobel Prize by going into ceremony and refusing it. They did it earlier.
Being Jamatia, Peoplia or Niwazia is no discredit for any one. Kindly tell me why you are so sad for M Minhas being Jamatia, you must have strong reasons for that or I will take it as “Dewaney ke Burak”

Dear Mr. Masood…
Who is the problem?
A person who criticize The Blasphemy Act which is to assure Our beloved Prophet’s (pbuh) honor and dignity
or
the person who brings out the truth…
What is the problem if Mushtaq Mihas Belogs to Jamiat….?
Isn’t this Jamiat who give Pakistan a corruption free and pro-Pakistan leadership…?
Who is Javaid Hashmi, Ahsan Iqbal etc…..?
So my dear be open minded….

@yusuf khan,
That is a good style of protest as an individual, learn it and add it in your book.
It takes a brave and good character to do such an act!
I am proud to have such great youth in our country!
