This is equivalent to a strip search. Get ready to go through those body scanners at Heathrow. Would be a good idea to carry a USB drive to have them copied your completely naked body picture or just ask them to upload it to your Facebook profile. Figure conscious people can chart their work out progress and feel good about it.

What a wonderful world, the civilization has come around full circle to take off all its attire in the name of security.

It is a great honor and a privilege to thank politicians, kings, leaders, army generals, and dignitaries of Muslim world and a very very special thanks to Ayub, Zia, Musharaf and his successors .It would have not been possible with out your help and efforts to bring us to this great moment of our history.

We all are proud of you and pray for your long lives. Your names will be written in golden words in history.

well honestly – secondary search for all PK Passport holders is a must in US already – this would just add another layer in transit airports like Doha, Dubai etc… including public Humiliation which is done by mostly Indian filled staff even at Heathrow.

But I must say, before it was not public, since now its publicly named, we should start strip search for US citizens – oh wait … our Govt. … damn

  • drcardio1980 said:

Pakistan should replicate all these searches on Americans to have some consolation.F**k off raciests, extremists of all kinds.

  • shimatoree said:

This just another illustration of the basic nature of human beings when confronted with a problem-

Do Not Look at or EXAMINE the CAUSE of your problem-
DO NOT look at your INCOMPETENCE

Just try to FIX the SYMPTOM.

They do not wish to examine the cause which has led to this terrorism threat.

If they were to do that- then first priority would be Palestine and second would be to stop financing the Israelis in their terrorism.

But that is not going to happen.

Oh I seriously doubt that. How many of you know that U.S. recently ‘requested’ that they be given space to accommodate additional staff till their mammoth embassy gets constructed. The request of course was granted.

And exactly where have they been accomodated? At the Prime Minister’s House (All guestrooms were vacated and handed over to them)

Due to morally, financially corrupt politicians, beurocrates, army of Pakistan & these crazy talibans Pakistan is bound to suffer.

14 countries out of which 13 are Muslims. If that is not Islamphobea then I don’t know what is. I remember Bush said that he can’t comprehend why Muslims hate him/America so much.

Looks like he had his reasons, we have ours.

  • Believer said:

I don’t believe that the US staged 9/11 but I think they knew 9/11 is going to happen and facilitated it so that they could work on their plan. There are many reports that US agencies knew it was going to happen.

Now see the same pattern here. Luckily, no one was injured in alleged attempted terrorist blast. Had it been successful, the US might have used it to ban all Pakistani (and some other Muslim nations) for next 10 or so years.

It is proven now that the US knew about this guy. He was on a British watch list too. Despite this, he was successful to board a plane and travel with explosives. Isntead of punishing the grossly negligent people in secret agencies (if not co-conspirators), US is punishing innocent civilians from 14 countries!

  • hafizjee said:

I fail to understand why everyone here is blaming the west, we need to look into a mirror we are the ones who is in the wrong to start with some other Muslim nations are being blamed because of Pakistan. If anything we have blacken our own name and Muslim religion as a whole. West is only doing what is right for them. UK and rest of Europe has announced the same profile search for three countries Pakistan, Nigeria and Yemen. This is very degrading specially when you are traveling few times a week with business colleagues.
All in all while whole world has gone strength to strength the only progress in Pakistan in the past sixty years has been in the length of the facial hair.

Its a country living in denial, always blaming others for everything.
And lets say for argument sake if it is true that others have been damaging Pakistan for sixty years then why are we so weak that we let them?

  • nota said:

    @Believer
“he was successful to board a plane”

    That too WITHOUT a passport.

This whole story is a setup I think. He was admittedly on the “Terrorist Watch List” but did not make it to the “No-Fly List”? Come on…Even late Senator Kennedy made it on that one as have most peace activists…

  • erajdanish said:

welcome to the real world. This is what we have to go through because of the damn crazy militants!! Just imagine. More humility. Green passport in the immigration will be like a disgrace on the airport now. Go through a complete strip search!! Unbelievable! Makes me sick!

  • hafizjee said:

Actually, contrary to what some people might think this action is not limited to green passport only, profiling means that security will ensure that all green passport as well as anyone who was born in Pakistan, parents born in Pakistan or has any link with Pakistan or even if they look like Pakistani will be fully searched, this is profile selection.
Being Pakistani has been a shame for few years but now it has become pure degrading disgrace. And its all our own wrongdoing no one else.

Naturally all this makes no difference to people who live in Pakistan and never leave the country. This will make no difference to a typical Pakistani whos knowledge only consists of food, a new restaurant in the area or a TV drama.

It is like to show the might of worldly power. A complete Islamophobia. Every American knows what it means to see a naked muslim women to her brother or father. Every american knows what Parda means for a muslim religious women. Going through a scanner is like going through a hell for many. It would only add up extremism. These measures are childish. Mutual respect is vanishing providing a vacume which eventually be filled by agonism and extremism. I think a lot of women would stop travelling now resulting in an implicit restriction on their right of free moment. Egypt is not in the list as it helps Israel to close its borders for Palestinians in tough times. As a matter of fact, Al Zawairi belong to Egypt and most of the terrorists come from this hell. Jordon is not in the list for having the previlege to be the friend of Israel. while recently a jordonian attacked CIA in Khost. A relatively moderate Pakistan is in the list to go through the naked scanner. It is a shame for the leaders of Pakistan and their diplomates for not being able to successfully build its image internationally. Extreme versions of religions have an equal contribution to bring us to this point. What i fear is that Zardari would soon order these scanners to Karachi Airport. Pakistan Khapey.

We are fighting for USA since 32 years. It started in 1977 with the overthrow of ZA Bhutto by illegetimate son of soil Ziaul Haq. He threw us in the hell by fighting for USA in Afghanistan by creating so called jihadi groups and so called mujahideen. First we fought for USA against Russia. Now we are fighting for USA with our people. We are fighting for USA for 32 years just to please him.

Only response could be introduction of such scanners at our airports and strict visa policy against Americans but we are very week and can not do this. We will see case like Afia Siddiquee and forced handing over of our citizens to USA just to please forceful.
The Khan, Chaudhry or wadera of village will continue to exploit us unless we took a step to stop him. But we are so week like a hari that we can not withstand the pressure of Khan of the world. after all Khan is Khan and you can not say anything to him. So let us look to ourselve and do not do anything that irritates him. Khan can do any thing and he is still innocent. So please do not talk and blame, please correct yourself.

We the Pakistani people have to stand up and earn our respect. Just as we did in Pakistan for restoration of judiciary.
We must stop blaming and be active.
We must not let any one do any unlawfull act in Pak.
Then we must treat people 100% the way they treat us (Internationally)

Its so god damn sad that there is no cry in muslim world. Dont they know thaty muslim women will be watched by namehram men, Kahan gae hay muslim qaum ke gherat?

    Well said Khalid Ali,
Our laantee gov has to slap them with the same acton,it does not matter,we have no scanerrs, but we can do it manualy,no matter who he is,do the same as they do to us.

  • murahman said:

Its simple why don’t you guys understand……if you dont want to go through search then DON’T TO USA!!!!.

Everybody hates USA but everyone wants to go to USA.

Every country in the world has right to protect itself!!

If somebody gets into Pakistan without search…….its not their problem it’s our!!!

Why on earth you are dying to go to USA?????

When you point finger at somebody think twice because three fingers point back at you!!!!!

  • afisadi said:

    Dear ALL
How many of you recently visited US? None, right. You guys are adding comments after listening GEO and other channels.
Yesterday my younger brother returned from Peshawar to DC. He said nothing happened. He gets the same welcoming smile and his immigration process completed in 10 minutes.
I visit Peshawar every year. On my way back I never had any problem. Rather on Peshawar or Islamabad airports, my own Pakistani brothers tried to take money in one way or other.
I agreed that its US right to randomly picked a person for body search.
Please do not trust blackmailers like GEO and journalist mafia. Use your common sense.
    Thanks
    Aftab

  • murahman said:

    @ Aftab

I totally agree with you aftab, I am here in USA for the last many years, travel all over the place never had any problems, the process is same for every one whether you are black, white or brown!!!

And after all this is their country they have all right to search anyone they want!!

If any of us have any problem dont come here!!!!

  • erajdanish said:

@murahman. Everyone wants to there I guess because they want to have a better lifestyle. It is sad the way all talented people travel abroad and do not work for Pakistan. Terrorists have destroyed the careers and job opportunities of many and unfortunately it is at rise. We must curb extremism to uplift financials of the country so that people are encouraged to stay here.

  • hiramir34 said:

Roots of extremism must be curbed. Cutting off the branches will now kill this tree of extremism from the root. Militants have no specific agenda. They are brainwashing the young minds of children and guiding them to the wrong path. We must condemn them.

  • murahman said:

    @erajdanish

I totally agree with you, i just want to add one thing!!

Nobody wants to leave their country, if we have better opportunities nobody will leave . The people of Pakistan by in large are secular and tolerant, its some segment of the society who have besiege the basic ideology.

but unfortunately this small segments have prevailed over…..!!!1

  • hafizjee said:

OK well said that we must eliminate extremism , Militants etc but my friends lets be realistic how many people would you want to eliminate? We have many different type of extremists and MQM being the biggest thugs of all. Then we have talibans, and look at the history other parties created the similar problems in the past.
So the overall problem we have is that whole generations have been ruined with sick ideology and have been brainwashed by parents as they were.
I think Pakistan needs a drastic solution i.e. a revolution with a strong and honest dictator who can stay in set for 20-30- years with full support from the public and only then perhaps this country will survive. Otherwise sorry to see and say but we are doomed for sure, with hyper inflation rates hitting over 24%, interest rates of 16%+, no supply of basic needs never mind the development, we are indeed in a very bad shape yet we deny it or perhaps just not educated enough to know the facts, and then what actually are we doing about it?
