Very powerful programme on civil-military relations. Concluding remarks were significant when both Gen Moeen and Mr. Jabbar emphasized parliamentary oversight over role of agencies. I think its important.
Also there should be a binding condition to include foreign office officials in the meetings of foreign officials, including pentagon or state department personnels, with the military officials of Pakistan.
Similarly, complete minutes of such meetings of President and Prime Ministers should be recorded when they meet US, British or other foreign high ranking officials like Holbrooke, Gen Patreaus, Milliband etc.
This will end their over powering role some day I hope.

If zardari complete tenure then chances are that Nawaz may get majority win in 2013, only way to keep this 20-30% representation is by getting this govt over thrown and play victim card.

Moen Haider said two main things in the show 1-all corrupts who,s names were on ECL list were taken as ministers by Musharaf and 2-that Musharaf told his cabinet about the deal with America after it was done.
For long time he was the member of the cabinet of Musharaf if that was the case why he did not resign? It is real shame majority of the people who support dictators take full advantage as minister but later on they criticize that very government.

I personally do not like any political party in Pakistan or any leader.The point i want to make is that it is the right of prime minister to appoint or sack a army chief.Mian Nawaz Sharif sacked Jahangir Karamat for interfering in government affairs that was a right move.Military was upset about it and took it as personal grudge.Moin Haider comment that Mian Nawaz Sharif should had taken proper way to sack him makes me wonder what is proper way? Army chief is a government employee not the ruler.The ruler of the country is prime minister so if army chief do not accept orders of prime minister he breaks the law and is liable to punishment.In the second case if he takes over the government by force he is punishable to death.
