The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Tuesday released the detailed judgment in the National Reconciliation Ordinance case. The 287-page detailed ruling was penned by the Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.
The judgment was signed by Justice Khalil Ramday on Jan 12 before his retirement. Citing the example of Filipino dictator Ferdinand Marcos, the ruling said that the Philippine government had also brought the looted money by the dictator back to the country from Switzerland, which could be taken as a reference.
According to sources, the Supreme Court declared the NRO null and void, and contrary to the Constitution of Pakistan. It has also termed the controversial ordinance in contrast to the national interest and violates the several clauses of the Constitution.
It may be reminded here that the Supreme Court (SC) in its short judgment on Dec 16, 2009 had struck down the controversial NRO, saying it is null and void.

If cases are going to open against Zardari or PPP then why not open the same case against Irsalan Iftikhar, who completed his MBBS in 8 years and then joined police with his talented father’s help.
I hate Zardari but every sensible person knows that this stupid political decision will bring more unrest and confrontation.
Ch Iftikar wants a technocrat govt with a major share but I am pretty sure that he will meet the same fate as Sajjad Ali Shah met.

This judgment might not help in tackling corruption but there are chances that it can open the doors for more instability in the country in the days ahead.It seems the judgment is based on personal motives and the judges failed to take note of the grave problems Pakistan is faced with at the moment.The judges must also avoid encroaching upon the executive domain like fixing the price of sugar etc and they should also realize that they dont possess alladin lamp with which they can solve all the problems.The so called independent judiciary has made itself controversial now and its downslide has already begun.

سپریم کورٹ نے بہت ہی اچھا فیصلہ دیا ہے اب انشااللہ قانون کی حکمرانی ہو گی اور چور جیل میں ہوں گے اب کی بار کوئی وی آئی پی جیل نہیں ملے گی

I just want to ask you one question – Does the 60 million dollars in Swiss accounts belong to you or is it your hard earned money that you are so much annoyed by this judgement. The biggest crime which the assemblies in Pakistan did was to elect a criminal and chor as their president – by MANIPULATING THE DEMOCRACY LAWS and by CHEATING NAWAZ SHARIF and using him to oust Musharraf. If Zardari had been honest he should have declared his intention BEFORE the move had been done – and then he would have seen how many would have supported him with IMPEACHMENT of Musharraf.
You can cheat everyone but not Allah – and now he is going to face what he has done in the past. If he loves Pakistan so much and wants to do really for Pakistan – he can simply bring those 60 million dollars back to Pakistan and deposit in Government treasury. We would remember him as a great leader.
Actually the situation he is in today is because he has surrounded himself with people like Mansoor and company who are giving him wrong advice. His first blunder was to become president BEFORE getting himself cleared through the courts and not through NRO.
There is a strong rumour going on in Islamabad that the Government is seriously considering to depose judiciary again by DENOTIFYING the earlier notification which restored judiciary – a civilian form of November 3 action. If that is done Zardari would not only lose money but he would even lose his life also – because undermining judiciary is a capital offence.
As for those who accuse CJ with taking oath on PCO – CJ has proved through his actions that he has washed his past and what he is doing now is a much greater service for Pakistan and its democratic insitution than even Zardari and company.

In essence, what Aftab sahab is asking for is to forgive an influential elitist corrupt person otherwise presumably system will fall. May I need to remind you of the Hadith in which Prophet (PBUH) stated that the previous nations were destroyed because when some one influential commit a crime, he was forgiven but when a commoner do the same thing, he was punished. For how much longer we can keep on beating the drum of saving the system to save a few corrupt persons. On the contrary, the system now can only survive by enforcing the laws without any pick or choose.
Let us hope for the best. This is the real time for long march. No one should pay any tax/bill untill receipt of last penny of looted money in state bank of pakistan.

can you also point out, how many adjournment applications were filed during these 11 yrs and how many yrs he stayed in hospitals instead which were declared as sub-jails.
As always you are not gonna respond to me so I will make your life easy, AZ lawyers applied for adjournment more than 800 times. Got it! now tell me how can a case be decided if lawyers keep on playing with delay tactics.

Supreme Court can seek army’s help, says Hafeez Pirzada
ISLAMABAD : Senior lawyer Abdul Hafeez Pirzada on Wednesday said the apex court can call Army for help in getting its verdicts implemented in letter and spirit, as army is a part of executive and bound to obey the court’s order under Article 190 of the Constitution. “The apex court can call the Army Chief for help to get its verdicts put into action,” he told reporters here at the Supreme Court while commenting on the detailed judgement of the apex court on National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO).

Reading the famous saying of Hazrat Ali (A.S.), the Chief Justice said: “A rule of Kufr (infidelity) can survive but a rule of injustice can’t.”
“We are waging a struggle for such a society where justice is available to everyone,” he added.
He said that people showed faith in judiciary because of its principled stand and vowed that judiciary would not break the peoples’ trust. The chief justice feared that hopelessness would arise if courts would not deliver justice.

The verdict said that Pakistan is also signatory to the United Nation’s Convention Against Corruption, 2005 and had ratified it on 31st August, 2007, regarding international cooperation in criminal matters. Under Articles 44 to 50 where appropriate and consistent with their domestic legal system, the State Parties shall consider assisting each other in investigation or proceedings in civil and administrative matters, relating to corruption.
According to the decision, it is to be noted that while making a request to the foreign states for mutual legal assistance, no request for criminal proceedings in such a State can be demanded. However, courts of the other states may proceed independently for an action, which falls within the definition of their municipal laws, governing criminal actions. Pakistan is not the only country, which has demanded such mutual legal assistance.

These both bíg parties are just enjoying and making money with their private business and correption insluding Zardari Rehman malik Babar awan and Jahingeer bader also nawaz sharif through his suger and steel mills. They came here and act as a they hate eachother in these talk shows honestly said they are same when they are not behind the camera and meet eachother with very warmly, here they present only a show. They are great actors.
