I have been watching these shows for the last 9 months and I must tell you this is by far the most important program Talat has ever done. I was disappointed by the participants however. The quality of our policy makers is not more than a village consular.

What we need is something similar to Library of Congress. All parliament proceedings should be published yearly on the web and as a book for the public libraries. There should be document disclosure act where all cabinet minutes and federal documents should be made public after 10 or 15 year period. There should be mandatory subject until 12th grade to teach about constitution, protections and responsibilities of the public.

Our ruling elite i.e. political, military as well as bureaucracy has the fear that they will be exposed. The people will be able to make more informed judgment about these decision makers and the insanity of their decisions. I bet none of these guys will be able to get in the office again, once people know the truth about their level of incompetence.

Kudos to Talat for picking such an important topic, please keep it up. We as citizens must formulate “Citizen Action Committees” and decide on issues like these and how the governments should form the policies. We should collect signatures, get commitment from public and come election time, we should shop around for the party who can deliver on the issue rather than living on the legacy of Bhutto, Nawaz, or Altaf.

Anything in private control is million times better than what’s in government control just see the media. When government will disclose the information then media then public will know. Do we expect from government department to tell us the facts??? Lots of information we get in foriegn media and other certified souces and still government denys it!!

    Talat hussain,

Regarding which law is in which book?

Hire british consultants who are experts of colonial laws as advisers to guide you on the laws made and left for us by british raj…

All the four participants are idiots, particularly that Begum Belum. They don’t realise the import of this topic. In Pakistan, the ruling elite has always withheld information from the masses in the name of ” national interest” , this is a clear violation of the citizens’ right to know. Talat started by asking Begum Belum do we need to share more information with people and she starts blabbering about media and overload of information. I can’t believe that she is the Chairperson of the standing committee on information. That consultant and the other two politicians are hardly any better. They represent the who’s in who in Pakistan.

They have all been arguing that there is too much information in Pakistan. It is not too much information, it is a noise created by the ruling class too control the spread of the real information. Pakistan’s administration, politicians and military have always adhered to the policy of hiding the facts. That is also why media is feared in Pakistan. That is also why every piece of information is denied shamelessly by the parties concerned. They know somehow manage to cloud over the issue and hide the facts.

    Talat Sb.

Why u always invite the govt. or pro govt peoples in ur programe?
Even a cheapest leader of any unpopuler party can come in ur programe but the true man can’t come there.
If incidently any true person comes but whenever he start speaking u never let him clear his point and always try to hide reality. Always u go for break or ur time going to finish when anything true comes but u give open time to govt. and pro.govt peoples to say any foolish.
This is the whole behavior of all media in every chanel thats why people’s interest and faith is falling from media.

    Regards.
