Once Pakistan also wanted to keep northern alliance away from kabul that never happened then they wanted indian out of there, we are still waiting for its result.

I think we should do what we want to do regardless of america’s agreement.

This is very interesting, recently anyone who would promote negotiation as solution to this problem would be shot down, called a Taliban or similar, but now the tides have turned. Why? Why such a sudden shift?

Is it the same old accord that no one can truly win in Afghanistan and its the same as was with the Russians, the British and now the US?

Would there also be revenge sought from Pakistan once the US does leave Afghanistan?

    This raises so many questions…

  • establishment said:

revenge i dont think so, there have been so many articles and leeks in which pak chief of army staff is expressing afghan taliban as strategic assets. in musharaf’s time as well he was accused by americans for playing double game. i think pakistan should talk to afghan taliban undertable and do whatever it talks to expire indian assets in afghanistan even if it means creating taliban part 2(taking afghanistan back to mullah omer’s time).

    Islamabad can’t give an inch

It had dawned on Washington that Pakistan’s charges of Indian complicity in Af-Pak affairs were not all ill-founded – that they must not be summarily dismissed. At congressional hearings both Admiral Michael Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and General David Petraeus, head of Central Command, advised Washington to accommodate Pakistan’s perspectives on Afghanistan.

General Stanley McChrystal, who heads the US and NATO forces in Afghanistan, went further. In his report to the White House he said that “Indian political and economic influence is increasing in Afghanistan” and with the present government in Afghanistan perceived in Islamabad as being pro-Indian, this would “exacerbate regional tensions”.

This is a joke. Do you think that Americans will sit down on a table with Pakistani’s and talk on fair and equal basis……NO BLOODY CHANCE. This Govt and previous Govt of Gen Mushararaf cannot talk with Americans eye-to-eye, because (Benazir) and Zardari signed NRO and even if these mediation talks does takes place, Zardari and Hussain Haqqani will be talking about how to prolong the Zardari rule.
This present Govt can not be trusted any more and there should be a move to start impeachment proceedings against Zardari and PM Yusuf Raza Gilani and leave it to the new Govt.
But if these Mediation talks with America really becomes essential than only Imran Khan, Gen Kiyani should be sent to have negotiations.

(But all stupid Zardari lovers would like to see MQM and ANP should be involved in these negotiation talks)

By the way northern alliance was already a foe to Pakistan, the only party in Afghanistan which was with Pakistan were Talibans and in the past 9 years we are front line allies to the war against them lead by Americans. Anyone thinking that Taliban’s will agree to once again rely upon Pakistan should be living in a fool’s paradise. Even people in Pakistan don’t rely upon the ones who rule then how could anyone else and that too the party being attacked by Pakistani help will rely upon our rulers, i don’t see any chance.
These discussions will also be one of the old tactics i.e. to divide and rule to check who is exhausted by the war and wants to shun it by getting some power in the government, and to get some more intel about Talibans and thats it.

Double games and lies of Pakistani establishment exposed. If Pakistan was not such a munafiq country it would return the blood money of pukhtuns.

    @Proper_Pakistani

It is not Musharraf’s policies but his leaving are beginning to pay off now. We were just US puppies during his time and now Army is making and imposing his own decisions on US.

InshaAllah, We will win this (imposed) war.

  • Salam said:

General Kayani was hand picked by traitor musharraf, this guy can not be trusted -period.

  • Adonis said:

Inshallah we will win this war.

But even after mush’s departure, still there are several puppies around especially in the ranks of our occupation army. Unless they are dealt with decisively and a complete restructuring of armed forces takes place, peoples’ victory will remain incomplete.

If Imran Khan says dialogue is the only way to end terrorism than he is labeled Taliban now everyone talking about dialogue. Time has always proven Imran Khan right and the rest wrong. The fact of the matter is Pakistanis dont have the talent to recognize truth and honest people. They like living under the corrupt. They vote for the same people and than they cry under sever living conditions.

    I 2nd you – well said

  • wbuttar said:

Now where are the haters of Imran Khan? That is the difference between a leader and common person. Leader always lead and follower always follow. Long Live Imran. You are again proving upright.

  • Wahid Doyum said:

Imran Khan from Lahore is part of establishment game to fool people into accepting taliban rule. We don’t trust such traitors.

  • Proper_Pakistani said:

    @Umar Riaz

oh come on. we all know that Kiyani is continuing Mush’s policy. Dont fool urself. If this victory happens, all the credit goes to Musharraf for avoiding the confrontation with USA.

    @ImranKhanforpm & @wbuttar

Imran is a fool. He was talking about negotiation with TTP. We have defeated TTP. TTP is different than Taliban of Afghanistan. Poor Imran cannot distinguish between the two. And nor can u.

And ofcourse Pakistanis follow people blindly. Like urself blinded by Imran TTP Khan.

We will win this war AS this is our war too.

I believe that the government must use other means to exert the influence it seeks to exert in a post-war Afghanistan. In a post 9/11 world, there is very little tolerance for these proxies. (Not that this exempts Pakistan from any wrong doing but pre 9/11, a lot of dirty business did take place which included the US)

In the same breath, unfortunately for us, Pakistan is only going to offer solutions that it can provide. Ie to expect Pakistan to invest $$$$ in a post war Afghanistan (like India/china are) is also unrealistic.

The other party is partially responsible for this too..ie The worlds powers have yet to carve out a role for Pakistan; a role connects that x with y i.e. getting rid of the haqqanis to our long term national interest.

I refuse to believe that the Pakistani military is habitually incapable of seeing eye to eye on any other alternatives. They’re assessing the scenario from their limited scope..it’s up to the world to provide other alternatives..because one thing’s clear..this war is going to hell without pakistan’s willful support.

  • zalmay said:

No matter what Pak army do now, Islam says’ The death of an innocent person is like the death of humanity’. Pak army had killed thousands of innocent people in the country, quite often in a barbaric manner.
America and co are fighting ‘Pukhtoons’ in our region (overwhelming majority) and time has almost proved it again that these proud sons of the land are invincible.
PPP, ANP MQM etc have completely lost people confidese in the educated lots of the country. thanks to medis role in unearthing these enemies of the nation. Army too has lost its credibility by laying down infront of the enemy and mistreating its own people in thw most ruthless manner ever.
America has accepted the defeat, i wonder whats Pakistans faith after its sympathiser in (WOT) go home !!!!!
One thing I know for sure is that there is going to be no place for corrupt people like Zardari etc as people cannot take any more.

    @improper-Pakistani

U.S says he has threat from Pakistan side where Taliban are real threat for U.S. So what is the difference between Afghan/Pakistan Taliban?

  • hiramir34 said:

@webuttar. You really think that talks with Taliban are gonna get this country anywhere?? I think that is crazy to think. Never in the history have Taliban had diaologue and worked out with Pakistan. They will surely stab In the back even if Pakistan did carry out diologues.

  • amnazaman said:

There is only one way and that is to get rid of the crazy Taliban leaders. Do not expect that these crazy people will come to diolog. You can not diolog with these people because their ideology is too Damn distorted. The Pakistanis and they have NO SIMILARITIES! We do not believe in killing innocent.

My suggestions for Iran on an American website , how to become the Friend of US and the Euro Gangsters.

Pakistan is the model for Iran, how to be friend with the Americas and the West.

A Tim tested and successful formula which only coasted half the country, East Pakistan, but for the ruling elites they still have other half to present the Western war machine and American Neo-Satanic run goons to have fun with…

Pakistan is the only country in the World, which invites and welcomes the Bombing of it’s territories and people for Money and financial assistance. A country which has been and still run by a handful family and ethnic Mafia’s since the inception and has developed a new term of “Political monarchs”. If Pakistan was a whore sitting in a busy brothel and had a rate list, it will be like this.

To buy a political leader 1 million dollar + visa’s and education for their royal offspring in the best Western institutes.

To buy the whole political clan, the Mafia 10 million dollars

To buy the Political leader, the clan and the future political prince and princesses (will through in free sperm for genetically producing the offspring of Pakistani family mafia dynasties, incase they all die for some odd reason) 100 million

To use the new war technologies, like drones 1 Mud house with 12 people $12,000
1 wedding with the either bride or groom and family and friends party of 100, $100,000

Pentagon especial, any Arab target killing or assassination by the Americans or Euro gangsters, will be charged by the AQ, No 1,2,3,4,5 only 25 million dollars per.

AQ #6 to 100, one Million dollars per head for any Arab living in Pakistan.

Kidnapping of any Pakistani you wish, $100,000, in case for more terrorizing effect, Pakistani Army and the government will not charge for children under the age of 12, kidnap a mother, if she is pregnant with twines you get three for the price of one and if she has 3 children under the age of 12, you will get 6 for the price of 1, what a good deal!

For a Martial Law and hanging the sitting Prime Minster or kicking the sitting Prime minister out of the country, the Army has a set price, Green cards or citizenship for the top brass involve and few 100 million dollars in the Swiss banks. A book by the dictator funded by any Neo-Satanic Media machine and speaking arrangements in the American institutes of verbal masturbations and warmongerings.

To buy a sitting President in Pakistan and his faithful followers/servants/dung beetles/friends in the crimes, the whole party, including the pocket Prime Minster and the cabinet, Price 0 dollars, only allow the Neo-Satanic Banks in the West to let him/her and his friends and family Launder the world bank, IMF, Asian Development Bank loans and the Aid stolen from the country and let them buy properties and open fake companies and open accounts worth Billions of dollars, residential Visas for the family and himself.

For the money, Pakistani elites are willing to have daily bombings, mass murders, Political unrest, financial bankruptcy of the nation, hunger, poverty, militancy, madness, lack of food, electrify, security or any pain or misery inflicted on the people, including mass migrations and starvation.

By using this simple formula, Iran and all the countries fighting the Americans can become the front line partner and friend of the USA, like Pakistan.

Before going for any steps we should keep in view the history and nature of Afghanistan and our own treatment/behavior towards this land.

    - History(both short term and long term history) of Afghanistan and current situation there proves that this land has never been occupied by anyone for a longer period of time! So called world powers came there with dreams of conquering and occupying it but could not run away on their legs! People come there with their own wish but can leave it on wish of Afghans. Afghans let their enemy go after taking their revenge! They are natural warriors especially Taliban, it is a kind of feeding into them how to tackle an enemy.

    - I personally think that people of Afghanistan have given too many sacrifices/blood for their land, religion(Islam) and even for Pakistan. At the time of Russian invasion, they were who engaged them, protected/freed Afghanistan and as a result Russians could not reach Pakistan! Even today, they are not only fighting for their land and Islam rather are a shield for Pakistan too. USA and Pakistan did not admire and respect sacrifices of Afghan people, i think. Pakistan in the time of Musharraf especially did damage the trust of Afghans/Taliban. It was strange that all of a sudden those who were heroes for USA and others against Russia were painted as evils and attacked after self staged drama incident 911 and we followed the dictations like total slaves!
Every nation has its certain characteristics and fighting physically against enemies is a prominent characteristics of Afghan people while on the other hand we Pakistanis are not good at physical fighting with certain exceptions like tribal fellows. We think and talk more but those Afghans and Pashtuns believe in less talk and more action. I think it has been done with a plan that Pak Army was made to destroy those tribal fighters because those people are very brave and action oriented while normal Pakistanis are not action oriented i.e. are not good at physical fight and taking revenge!
USA and others know that the physical threat are Afghans and Pashtuns so break them physically and Pakistanis are ideological threat so destroy them ideologically!
I really fear if we would resist if USA and Co. forces occupy Pakistan! Their agents are already in Pakistan fulfilling their plots freely: a lot of innocents were killed by the secret agencies of them, a lot of innocent people have been killed through drone attacks, corrupt rulers have been supported by them, our financial system has been occupied etc but we still like to please them, beg for aid/money, give them protocol, sell everything to acquire the visa of USA and other countries, their filmy actors are our heroes, we feel proud in speaking English in their accent and adopting their life style and so on.

If we want to mediate then we have to make sure that it does not result in betrayal or a source of trap for Taliban or Afghans. What will Pakistan army do if forces of USA and Co. use this opportunity of mediation to terminate Afghans and Taliban? Will we fight together with Taliban/Afghans against invaders in such a situation or will we run away like coward fake commando and slave of USA Musharraf did? Whatever decision we take we have to make sure that we don’t show cowardliness and retreat at critical juncture. Afghanistan is important for Pakistan and Pakistan is important for Afghanistan, we have to stay united and alert.

  • ammarisb said:

I don’t think it would be wise to middle in this affair as if this deals backfires, we would be to blame as Pakistan has been pictured as state that has a soft corner for Taliban. Also if we do so then there is a likely chance that our home grown militants will ask for preferential treatments. We must not deter from our commitment to end religious extremism from our homeland.

  • rashidsaleem said:

Diplomacy will always be a better option than going at war on full scale. The recent changes at communal level in Pakistan have side-lined the notion of “fighting fire with fire”. Negotiations can pave a way to end this terrorism and we all can hope for a better tomorrow for all of us.
