So far there was a perception that Nawaz Sharif was too popular in urban Punjab and that no party could win against him there. The recent election campaign in NA 55 has shown that this is no longer the case.Sheikh Rashid who many observers wrote off as a spent force particularly due to his role in Musharraf govt.has surprisingly emerged as a strong contender thereby forcing the entire top leadership of PML N to come to the rescue of its candidate in this constituency. The contest between the two is tough and sharp and it would be interesting to see who wins from here. The JI and PTI has poor chances of winning. Both these parties foolishly boycotted the general elections and one does not know what these parties hopes to accomplish by participating in the bye elections now.

May the best and the most trustworthy candidate win.My own trust has been lost in these politicians.Whole country is suffering in the hands of these corrupt leaders.I hope people in this Halqa will use some sense and vote for the best person.Ameen

I observed NA55 election compaign throughout and I believe that Mr. Kashif Abbasi is continously supporting Sheikh Rashid. And this last episode of his programme represents that he is totaly partial, by his side and giving him favour as much as he can in careful way. I think he joined accidently electronic media, so he is disregarding this profession. journalism based on single principle which is impartiality, that’s it.

Can somebody please tell me Manshera results?

Kashif Abbasi has tried his best for Sheeda Tulli, but this is an exercise in futility. Sheeda Tulli will be at no.3. TI candidate will gain the second position. Sheeda has only Sheikh bradari and his total votes are no more then 15000. GHQ did its best to put plain clothes men in sheedas jalsa in Liaqat Bagh but there were not more then 10 to 15 thousands people. Margin of defeat for Sheeda will be very big.

Kashif Abbasi projected Sheikh Rashid, what about Mushtaq Minhas he supported everyone but Sheikh Rashid so at the end it just balances out.

I think for PMLN to loose in Pindi they have to play like Pakistan did in Sydney test. I will be surprised if there victory margin is less than 10k and I will also be surprised if IK takes more than 5k votes …

If any anchorperson is taking sides with any party, he is dishonest with his profession. If Mushtaq Minhas is projecting someone instead of Sheeda then it is sheer unjust. Two wrongs does’nt make one right. Unfortunately our media persons are playing either in one hand or other. Talat Hussain has always proved his credibility as an unbiased ancherperson.

wow what an honest and unbiased kashif abasi is turning out ot be!!!

he’s just trying his best to project sheikh rashid as much as he can… in a way he is demoralizing the other candidates and i hate to see this moron being projected..

shame on you kashif abaasi you are such a big hypocrite and i appeal IK to boycott his program and channel

Oh for heaven’s sake! Get a reality check!

  • pakwatan12 said:

Both PML(N) and PPP are Hypocrates. In the Charter of Democracy (CoD) signed between Benazir Bhutto and Nawaz Sharif, the PPP and the PML-N had agreed that they would not field candidate in the by-election of the national or provincial assembly seats vacated by each of them.

What about NA 21, Swat, Laki Marwat, and now DIKhan.
