It was one of the best progamme on regional security and foreign policy. Despite my reservations regarding role of ISI, I would like to say that Gen Durani was dot on regarding what should be policy objectives viz a viz India and Afghanistan.

Gen Durrani is still keen to see ISI protect their strategic assets, which in some cases have become a major liability now.

Sherry Rehman is becoming old and conservative in her thoughts. Boring is the word that comes to mind. A spent force. Don’t get me wrong. It’s not that I don’t like her but I find she is to diplomatic and boring to listen to.

    Otherwise the program was interesting

Sheery Rehman is way better than current spokesperson of PPP.

Fauzia is totally jahil, while sherry is more sensible. I agree with you. But the question is how one can defend PPP after stupid acts of a Khota President. No one. So, PPP must talk to zardari and tell him to behave like a human being.

Good discussion both bu Durani and Sherry

We do not have any defined policy in the regional security scenario. We just drift along with the US security objectives and foreign policy goals. At times we even fail to anticipate what is our national interest and what is not.

Sherry Rehman behaved much better than Kaira and especially Fozia Wahab. Her mannerism in replying questions was much sober.

Wonderful show i thought NM has set very high standards of journalism. The topic of the programme was very serious and NM managed the show very well.Relationship with India and America dug down pretty well.

I agree. One of the main reason is that she is well educated and civilized. When she was information minister she handled the media much better than Kaira.

Gen;Assad Duranni was very out spoken compare to Sherry Rehman. She was on the defensive. One of the reason i believe is that Assad Duranni is much more knowledgeable about relationship with India and America.Sherry was not prepared for most of the questions.

I think Durrani was wrong to criticize government for the arrest of the leaders of Talibans, because the policy about Afghans and Indians is completely in the control of military.Gen Assad should had criticized ISI instead of government.By the way i do not like current government but we should be fair.

America India England and Israel are trying to squeeze Pakistan as much as possible.Although India has resumed dialogs under pressure but Pakistan should be very careful and be aware of the Hindu mentality.

That is true.Sherri was not very clear about her point of view.As far ISI role is concern i thought it depends on current government how they coordinate with ISI and get maximum advantage.

I support your views. We blindly supported America against Soviet Union and i believe we are making same mistake. We are so quick to follow American dictation but unable to get some thing for Pakistan or people of Pakistan.American wants its objectives achieved right away but give Pakistan five years time frame for aid.

I do not agree with Sheri point that India could not engineer mombay attacks.Recently one of the report published in India shows that Indian secrete service RAW has covert relationship with some of the terrorist organizations they blame are working against India. Our enemies blame us for every thing we are involve or not but here is one of our leader defending India on national tv.There is not even one person in the whole of India who say that India is involved in terrorism in Pakistan. It is real shame.

  • izatmaab said:

Pakistan government is very happy that London confrence ignored India on Afghan issue. We got to be careful may be it is another plot to get our help keeping India behind the scene.America calls India its natural ally so can not easily ignore India.

  • mohibewatan said:

It is so surprising that all those Taliban leaders Pakistan was denying any existence in the country are one by one being arrested from here.I agree with Durrani that no body is terrorist just because America calls him terrorist. We need to watch our own interest and should not betray Talibans, because once American interest is over they gonna leave and we have to live here and face the consequences.

  • molabuksh said:

India will do every thing possible to delay the things.Pakistan is in deep trouble over water shortage and is trying to avoid dialog, more time go by deeper in trouble will Pakistan.Eventually we have to fight war against India to get our rights.
