a good program. Government must clarify her stance on this issue. So far it has been down played since 1999 and i sense that future existance of Pakistan as soverign and independent country depends upon the liberaton of Kashmir, either as an independent state or , better still, part of Pakistan.

I also agree with the panalists that Pakistan in particular, and umat-e-muslima in general has lost the essence of courage and believe in themselves and Allah, that one requires to reach upon solution to this problem . Dialogue has never been and could never be the way to the solution unless both participents are rational in their approach to the issue. India has been clarifying their stance for past 52 years and they are not about to budge on it unless being pressurized to the extent that make them realize the cost of their stubborness.

History has abundently made clear to us that, human nature when not governed by the divine rules and regulations of a higher authority, properly and honestly, would always be selfish, stubborn and defient. It is also true in the case of India, where she is so proud of her war machinary that she could dare to indicate her thoughts of instigating war against not one but two Atomic Powers.

It is true that Atomic power is a double edged sword but it is also true that this very nature of the weapon makes these dialogues more of battle of nerves. India has a lot more to loose than Pakistan and i am sure if we could find courage in our ranks, they will blink first.

As far as US is concerned, she will never go against the will Indian population because for her a lot at stake in India as well. If we depended upon her for the solution , what we will have , at best is a concious effort to derail a simple issue and make is “Complex and Controversial” as they did with Palenstine & Israel.
