The ANP guy was full of rhetoric and could not come up with any objections to the system brought by the NRB. But this did not stop him from saying that the system was bad, without ever explaining what was wrong with it and how it would be fixed. Danial Aziz was right, their real desire is to disempower the elected local govts and make the bureaucracy more powerful in the name of fixing the system. This is the problem with all major political parties; they don’t have intra-party democracy, and dislike any reforms that can empower the people at the grass roots.

It was funny how the ANP person was talking about the lack of qualification of matric pass Nazims. Didn’t the ANP also oppose the graduation condition for parliamentarians? What about the lack of qualification of the many politicians running the country?
