Imtiaz Warraich said that PPP always accepted all kind of decisions of the court good or bad. That is not true SC decision on NRO is a recent example that PPP reaction on the decision was reactionary. This decision caused huge rift between SC and PPP government and it is still going on.

Khurrum Dastgir was spot on and Imtiaz Waraich was defensive. Most of the PPP leaders are stubborn on tv shows. They normally do not have any reasonable argument.

  • sohnidherti said:

It was well said by Khurrum Dastgir that PPP do not take even easy decisions without getting into deep trouble.Imtiaz Warraich was hush on this comment.

It was so funny when Tariq Azeem said that constitutional committee is working for last nine months now and they should deliver some thing now.

  • roshanpakistansara said:

Tariq Azeem and Khurrum Dastgir were impressive but Imtiaz Warraich was disappointing like all other PPP leaders. Both Khurrum and Tariq Azeem,s talked logically compare to Imtiaz Warraich.

NM should have better choice of guests than Khurrum Dastgir,Imtiaz Warraich and Tariq Azeem.

Imtiaz Warraich argument that Zardari was not convicted despite being in the jail for eight years has no weight. If zardari was not convicted it does not mean that he is innocent.

You are correct.Members of all political parties in our country are so coaxing and oleaginous towards their top leader ship.Actually that is the only way for them to stay in the party and gain maximum for themselves.

I believe that amendments in constitution will open another spate between political parties. It is true that members of all political parties are on board but once the detail of the recommendations come out it will start a new debate, because there will be so many non sense suggestions to amend the constitutions besides some good ones.

I have same opinion like you have especially the procedure to appoint new judges will bring a uproar in the country.

Good show impressive like always learned a lot.

I strongly support Justice Tariq Mahmood suggestion to take advice of five senior most judges both of SC and HC.It is a wise suggestion and I also recommend to take suggestions from law community on the process of the appointment of new judges and come up with a decision of consensus.

  • Noble said:

Justice Tariq is right if politicians tried to intervene too much, every party would try to force its way through to induct their loyalist in th ejudiciary. Proper precaution is needed.

On the issue of corruption and plunder of national wealth and grabbing more power, all politicians would agree. They fight only when it comes to who gets what.

After 62 years of independence, when should now set the clock right. No more corrupt politicians, big NO to military takeovers and functioning institutions. Lets agree on this and all reforms would pave their way easily.

  • Ahsaan said:

Constitution reforms committee should make public all proposed reforms and there should be a national debate in the parliament, media and think tanks should analyze every aspect before it is put to vote.

We should have a national ownership.

  • bechari-awam said:

The proposed amendment to appoint judges in superior courts has been largely taken from COD document. We are such an emotional and person specific people that we don’t want to see beyond current personality. The proposed amendment will apply to any future appointments. some how people think that present CJ will remain on this seat forever and there would be no one after him. CJ is a man of impeccable integrity but what about any future CJ. We have to strengthen institutions not the persons. Proposed amendments is a balanced approach. I don’t know why even Aitizaz ahsan is now against it. He was the one who wrote in the first place.
