They think the voters as their slaves. As if they would vote on their whim. We the people, are voters, and should realize that we have our independent will. Please vote for the party which you find credible and and provides your best representation. Its our responsibility, just as the responsibility of the state to provide us shelter, education and health.
Our politicians do not tell about their own vision and policies in the election compaign. Instead they do mud slinging on their opponents. They are so right in reading our psychology. Please vote for your future, and not for your personal dislikes. Rise above ethnicity, linguistics, and race in selecting your candidate. Prove them wrong.

This jaali Hafiz had the audacity to taunt Malik Pervaiz for his father being on the bench which handed death sentence to ZAB, yet he conveniently forgot that the erstwhile former supremo of Jamat-e-Islami, Mian Mohammad Tufail played the central role in instigating agitation against ZAB, colluding with the Army to overthrow an elected government which ultimately executed ZAB.

I feel pity for these two contenders. Both are begging PPP workers to vote for them. This is our unfortunate politics. Still they are demanding that they are here for change. Can you people specify what change they are presenting.

I am not a supporter of Hafiz Butt. He is also a part and parcel of the same elite as Mr. Pervaiz is, but whats wrong when he gave example of his father’s a bench memeber in the case of Bhutto.

I request people to wake up and reject these “Fasli Batairas” and vote for real change which is present in shape of Imran Khan. Long Live PTI. I love to see PTI candidate here but he was busy in a Jalsa with Imran Khan, any how he should be available on phone to expose these so called “real contenders”.

    Good job Talat blasting PMLN.
those who are accusing JI of acquiring PPP support are completely naive. This is electoral politics. Hafiz is not asking for Zardari to vote for him, he is asking the common man, the common PPP voter to vote for him. This is electoral politics, you try to gain as many votes as you can according to your own manifesto and to futher your own agenda. If PPP supporers are at this moment supporting an anti PMLN Candidate it’s their choice. If Salman Butt gets elected he will not be furthering PPP’s agenda, he will be implementing Jamat’s agenda. If some people over here can be able to get over their naivity they will clearly realise that JI’s agenda is completely different from PPP’s agenda.
    @ siddiqi73
iF ji and Mian Tufail agitated against Bhutto’s election in 1977 it was their democratic right to protest against an election that they viewed as being a rigged one. And by the way every single party except for PPP participated in that agitation. However Malik Pervaiz’s father with his incompetency clearly violated the established laws of Pakistan when he in your opinion wrongly hung Bhutto.

PEOPLE WAKE UP. STOP WORSHIPING THESE BIJLI CHOR, KAGHAZ KE SHER AND VOTE FOR A BETTER PAKISTAN

Well, I have always appreciated PML (N)’s support for independent judiciary and its consistent opposition to Gen. Muharaf and his cohorts. However, I do not think PML (N) has any rescpect for elected assemblies: it opposes NWFP assembly’s resolution (s) calling for renaming their province as Pashtoonkhwa. PML (N) must give up its provinchial and hate policy towards Pashtoons of Pakistan. Their vehement opposition towards renaming will only create hate between Punjabis (who are represented by PML (N)) and Pashtoons. Besides, it also shows they do not believe in provincial autonomy and do not respect democratic demands of the over 40 million Pashtoons of Pakistan.

When you say “Punjab” or “Sindh” , you are not referring to a single , Largest ethenic group or a population subset in these provinces. Punjab or sindh are named after certain geographical charecterisitics in these provinces. Meaning refers to “Panj Abb” five rivers land. Similarly Sindhi refers to “Sindh”, so i do believe that , name proposed by the NWFP assembly have secessionist flavor in it, espacially when country requires exectly opposite sentiments and thoughts from the people of the land.

Having said that, i also dont deny the right of the people of the land to name the province as they see fit based on the simple majority. It is the right of People of NWFP to rename their province hence a “Provincial” matter. PMLN has presence , and representation on NWFP and they are expressing their reservation about it. Now if ANP has majority, and it wants to change the name. opposition of PMLN should not matter to them and they should be able to change the name themselves. What is the reason they have not been able to do so? I dont know, because i dont have that much of insight in this issue, which is really not something of as big an importance as rest of the matters on plate.

Bro, notwithstanding the democratic rights political entities have to launch agitation against their opponents, it is classified as treachery to connive with a non-political force in order to topple a legit democratic dispensation no matter how brazenly the latter rigs or engineers an election. JI has always been the vanguard of non-democratic forces and a divisive irritant.

Besides Malik Pervaiz’s father, there were a host of other people who exhibited an epitome of incompetency and spinelessness but they are still perched rather comfortably on the high pedestal of morality.

Just outta curiousity, who should the people vote for a better Pakistan?

  • abdullaharqam said:

    you said:
u did not answered my other question regarding ppp support to ur candidate
Well basically you should be posing this question to the PPP supporters.
Jamat is not asking for PPP support. The ordinary PPP voter is supporting Jamat.
THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TWO, if only you could have the strength to rise above your naivety and narrow mindedness. The person asking rather begging for PPP votes was Malik Pervaiz (the Bijli chor, PMLN candidate who has a very dubious family history.) The PPP candidate was having a good time talking about COD and other crap that PMLN and PPP love talking about, wasting in the process the precious time of ordinary Pakistanis.

Well said. I second your sentiments on JI’s ever dubious role in politics and militant movements AND Talat Hussein being docile to military leadership.

He is not only docile he always stands by GHQ on every controversy. Swat operation, KLB, Mumbai attacks he always stood by genrals. Even on drones he blames Zardari, Rehman Malik, Nawaz Sharif, parliment but never say a word about Gen. Kiyani or GHQ. On suicide attacks he again blame politicians and other beaucracy for mis managements but doesn’t say a word about Gen. Pasha and ISI for intelligence failures.

When gov tried to put ISI under civilian control he stood by GHQ and blasted gov for that. To me he is just refined form of Zaid Hamid. Our media and politicians are full of GHQ cronies. They do not have any right to criticise Sheikh Rashid. They all strengthen GHQ’s role in politics.

  • Adonis said:

Pipliyas are fast becoming a n endangered species. So it i sbetter for their health to remain in their burrows.

But on a more serious note, PML-N voter does not give a damn for any bhuttos. In this constituency, PPP, Q-league, JI, PTI all combined cannot defeat PML-N. So the more anti-bhutto the PML-N candidate is, the more votes he will get.

Now the reality is, NS has majority votes in this constituency and his candidate will be the winner.

I think the best party for a better Pakistan can be a party that has not previously been equipped with the reigns of power on the national scale. 2 names that easily come to mind are JI and PTI. I will be equally happy and celebrate the victory of either Party.

It’s only personal prejudices that make people equate Jamaat with hypocrisy.

PMLN is the party that is at the mirage of MUNAFIQAT- hollow Rhetoric accompanied by zero action.

Summary of the complaint register against above said compaliants (Most Recent)

With due respect we would like to inform you that our complaint was launched on dated 20th of DEC 2008 to resolve the issue of overflowed drain water into the streets and houses of two residencies Imamia Colony and Mahomood colony (District Sheikhupura) . We raised the same compliant on time to time bases at CM online complaint cell with references cms17181; cms17997; cms21815; cms23419; cms25059; cms30365; cms50564; cms54670. We continued follow up the case in different offices including WASA Lahore, DCO Sheikhupura and local authorities.

This is 2010 and unto no permanent solution suggested by the concern departments. We are still suffering of this problem; particularly our eldest and youngest are most vulnerable to this and suffering with different diseases

Here is the history of the case:
The drain was used for irrigation purpose some years back and also maintained by the irrigation department for the cleanliness and other damages on regular bases. Later Public Health Department constructed (Illegal) sewage disposal pump for the residence of Faisal Park (District Lahore) on it. Irrigation staff maintained the drain for few months after the installation of pump and later refused with the words, “They are not supposed to clean sewage drain”. Later, Public Health Department handed over this pump to WASA Lahore. Now none of the department is taking responsibility of drain maintenance. Please also note that the drain hasn’t any dead-end.

We suggested solution to concern departments
    1. Shut down the pump or divert the flow towards Barkat Town Canal.
    2. Cover the drain
    3. Cleanliness
But no action has been taken by any authority.
