Honestly I did not bother to watch this programme, but I am simply putting up this comment that so that Mrs Najam Sethi can say to her parossan…Nii mera khasam teh bara ih mashoor eh.
It is no secret that Najam Sethi leans towards west (read US) in his news (the Daily Times) and views. He was arrested by Nawaz Sharif in the late nineties for his alleged involvement in anti-state activities. NS government termed him an agent of India.
Najam Sethi has a problem that he does not suck up to those in power, he is just doing his job. If Musharraf was bad, no one else is good too. Most daring and brave journalist that I have seen so far.
I Can understand your feelings because being rightwingers you can only like Shahid Masood, Hamid Mir, Ansar Abbasi, Haroon Rashid.
Its not your fault ..its depepends upon the way you were brain tuned and grew up in the conservative, backward and abusive religious surrounding.
I was also once like 90% Pakistanis once a right winger but Alhamdullilah I tried to listen and see the other side of the truth and now I can understand what left and right of politics is all about and I can decipher the truth wether coming out from conservative or liberal ideology.
So please try to listen and understand… no one out there is feeding our barins with absolute truth and everyone carrys own agenda…Shahid MAsood, Hamid Mir no different then NAjam Sethi except that they try to cover them up and take a refuge of religious self rightedness .

As far as Najam Sethi is concerned, he is and has always been an agent provaceteur for all the assorted and unsavory cast of characters who have graced our country and doing the bidding of Generals. People like Najam Sethi, Humayun Gohar and Pervaiz Hoodbhoy are facist liberals and are equally dangerous and vitriolic haters like the individuals mentioned in your post.
it seems that people do not watch the programme and start writing comments without watching the programme… it was an excellent programme… he criticised Governor Taseer in no weak terms… called him even more ghatia than rana sanaullah… at least people should have the courage to say on this forum that it was a very good programme….
it seems that people from right wing have just their own favourites like shahid masood, ansar abbasi and hamid mir etc.. and they cant see anybody doing a better programme than what these right wing agenda people keep showing to the public…
this was a fact based programme and i think it was much better than what we see on other programmes……
Najam Sethi admits he is progressive and liberal but in his analysis he tries to maintain balance. To me he is by far the best analyst in our media. Right wingers hate him bcaz they can’t stand rational analysis criticising them. Instead of counter arguing they start bashing Najam Sethi. Most of the comments on this program do not discuss content they just abuse NS. As someone pointed out above people comment w/o watching program.
The only problem with “Mullah Minded People” on this forum is they can not tolerate logic and they can not tolerate difference of opinion. So don’t bother these Mullahs on this forum. Following their arguments for NS, when any body says that Shahid Masood does not have any credibility then they want to kill that person and if any body says Najam Sethi did logical analysis, then they want to kill that person. They simply want to listen what they think is “right” and thats it.

Did you go to school? Are you educated in the real sense of the word or you just went to school to get an affirmation of your existing beliefs and a degree? Did you even watch this program?
Someone earlier commented that NS is an agent of Musharraf. Shame on you. You do not even know the facts and yet you with your childish beliefs only can condemn a man without hearing. He is 10 times as richer as Musharraf, just so you know. He owns Friday Times and Good Times Magazine. GT has a huge circulation, ask any one in Pakistan. He has an old house on Canal, which is around the same size as Musharraf’s Bani Gala farm house but having that size in the middle of Lahore on Canal, you must be foolish to call the richer party an agent of the poorer.
NS is not that bad. His analysis is reasonable. He talks against anyone who commits wrong. If I may say, it is an excellent program. Those of you who have loyalties with Kashif Abbasi, Javed Chaudhry, Hamid Mir, Dr. Shahid Masood etc., because you cannot get over the fact that NS was not there during the lawyers’ movement, and all others were opposing Musharraf. Pls. relax. Watch his program with an open mind, or any program with a clean slate and then decipher for yourself who is speaking the truth and whose analysis are better.
Unfortunately, there are some chanels which are reporting chanels and others that are reporting/current affairs. We all tend to like Current affairs because on the day that there is no “news” item, we can browse and watch a very partial and biased man and some of us may think that all they are saying is true. Unfortunately also, we prefer excitement just as historians love war and we love war presidents/prime ministers (Khalid Bin Walid, Churchil, Roosevelt etc.) because there is more drama to it, we are tuned to watch things which have alot of spice. NS’ analysis is dry to say the least. He is against everyone. Now, those of you who are Sher lovers (PMLN), you are not going to like NS. Those among you who are teer lovers will also have a problem with him. Similarly, Generals, media, judiciary everyone cannot be happy with him because he speaks as much as can be spoken on TV without getting picked up and locked up in a cell.
What are all of you moaning about? That NS does not love the one you adore? Judgments and off the hand remarks are not necessary, please come out with solid logical arguments.

If tomorrow Zardari start calling himself an honest person. would you believe him and tell us what he is saying instead of considering who is saying.
