A gesture worth appreciating, this apology. Nonetheless, it shows the cavalier attitude of most of our journalists including Aftaq Iqbal. They’ve got an audience and without complete research and verification, they simply let rip.
These people simply have too much influence and naturally, they abuse it every now and then. What’s required is a more professional, rational and cool-minded approach to the whole thing.
Didn’t completely watch this programme but yesterday’s was useless. The same old routine…the ‘hijra voice’ simply sounds indecent and is getting too much as is the loud-mouthed police officer…

Can Najia Baig laugh away from microphone, she sounds too sharp and some time it is annoying.
The show is great, all 3 are doing great, Suhail Ahmed just brilliant.
Please avoid some arrogance, being humble is better than the way you sounded in show about 4 people, you don’t need to come down at their level.

Dr. Shahid Masood did sound very rude and obscene in the show, and there couldn’t be any other interpretation than what Aftab Iqbal perceived earlier. I personally think Dr. Shahid Masood took a 180 degrees turn after not being careful with his word selection in the heat of the moment, which was perhaps caused by the sudden realization of the fact that his boring, and intellectually hollow programs aren’t very popular anymore. In any case, what he said absolutely invited this reply.
It is sad to see such a fan following of Dr. Shahid Masood in the youth, I think that makes him no different than other pseudo-intellectuals like Zaid Hamid, Zakir Naik, Harun Yahya etc. Anyway, I hope that Pakistani youth soon gets the maturity and calibre to tell real scholars from the fake ones.

Najia is there for laughing only and calling Mr. Aftab as sir. Whereas, mr. aftab plays the role of a chaudhry-who likes to be praised, appreciated and acknowledged for his knowledge. He pretends to be more informed and knowledgeable. He likes to be called ‘sir’ , which indicates that he has a ‘chaudhrana’ mentality and behaviour and enjoys and laughs at the self written jokes that are delivered by Azizi: a person serving dual job ie as a ‘puppet’ and a ‘Phand’ and an easy pray of criticism. Thus he tries to keep himself clean while putting the blame on Mr.Phand- a traditional chaudrana mentality.
This program appears to be famous among people who want to improve their urdu, like what’s the correct pronounciation of mohabbat, or the meaning of ‘snob’. I don’t know our blogs make any impact on them or not but what we feel we should tell them. The problem with everyone, including myself is that we think that we are right and all else are wrong this is actually happening at every level weather on the governance level to personal level. We never ever take other person’s point of view and discuss from there.
I personally like Husb-E-Hall better than Mere Mutabiq because they are delivering same message accross to listeners in a different and effective way, sometimes have a good social message as well BUT the other political talk shows including Mere Mutabiq also have significant implications which Hasb-E-Hall does not , they are not imposing there point of view but act as an facilitator or mediatorand bring both sides in line and it’s upto listner’s who’s point of view is valid.
This is true that Aftab and Sohail react very badlly on the comments in regards to Dr. Shahid. I think this is not an Aftab or Sohail words this is basically a professional jeolosy between media empires that’s why I never saw Duniya Channel persons on any other TV channel.

Can Najia Baig laugh away from microphone, she sounds too sharp and some time it is annoying.

Dr. Shahid Masood did sound very rude and obscene in the show, and there couldn’t be any other interpretation than what Aftab Iqbal perceived earlier. I personally think Dr. Shahid Masood took a 180 degrees turn after not being careful with his word selection in the heat of the moment, which was perhaps caused by the sudden realization of the fact that his boring, and intellectually hollow programs aren’t very popular anymore. In any case, what he said absolutely invited this reply.
It is sad to see such a fan following of Dr. Shahid Masood in the youth, I think that makes him no different than other pseudo-intellectuals like Zaid Hamid, Zakir Naik, Harun Yahya etc. Anyway, I hope that Pakistani youth soon gets the maturity and calibre to tell real scholars from the fake ones.

Najia is there for laughing only and calling Mr. Aftab as sir. Whereas, mr. aftab plays the role of a chaudhry-who likes to be praised, appreciated and acknowledged for his knowledge. He pretends to be more informed and knowledgeable. He likes to be called ‘sir’ , which indicates that he has a ‘chaudhrana’ mentality and behaviour and enjoys and laughs at the self written jokes that are delivered by Azizi: a person serving dual job ie as a ‘puppet’ and a ‘Phand’ and an easy pray of criticism. Thus he tries to keep himself clean while putting the blame on Mr.Phand- a traditional chaudrana mentality.
This program appears to be famous among people who want to improve their urdu, like what’s the correct pronounciation of mohabbat, or the meaning of ‘snob’. No need to apologize from someone who becomes MD of government channel for money.
I don’t know our blogs make any impact on them or not but what we feel we should tell them. The problem with everyone, including myself is that we think that we are right and all else are wrong this is actually happening at every level weather on the governance level to personal level. We never ever take other person’s point of view and discuss from there.
I personally like Husb-E-Hall better than Mere Mutabiq because they are delivering same message accross to listeners in a different and effective way, sometimes have a good social message as well BUT the other political talk shows including Mere Mutabiq also have significant implications which Hasb-E-Hall does not , they are not imposing there point of view but act as an facilitator or mediatorand bring both sides in line and it’s upto listner’s who’s point of view is valid.
This is true that Aftab and Sohail react very badlly on the comments in regards to Dr. Shahid. I think this is not an Aftab or Sohail words this is basically a professional jeolosy between media empires that’s why I never saw Duniya Channel persons on any other TV channel.
