Students of a university in Rawalpindi have been made to take an oath that they would not embarrass the Punjab governor by refusing to receive medals from him, as was happened in the past and shown on TV channels countrywide. The administration of Pir Maher Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University, Rawalpindi, has taken such a solemn undertaking from 55 students to receive their medals from the governor at the convocation to be held on Wednesday.
Sources in PMAS-AAUR told The News after oaths were taken the governor has been told about it and assured he can confidently confer the medals on the students. The sources said after two incidents when some students of Lahore and Faisalabad refused to receive their medals in protest from Salman Taseer, the universities have become cautious in inviting the governor, who has also avoided convocations of a few universities fearing embarrassment.
The official spokesman of the university, Musa Kaleem, expressed his ignorance about the issue of taking oath from students to ensure no one protests before the Punjab governor. He said he was not aware of any such development. One of the students of Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi told this correspondent on condition of anonymity the 55 medallists of the university had been asked to take oath one by one by the university administration.

He knows his position in punjab. His position in punjab is though not exactly what IBLIS (Shaitan)has in this world but pretty close.

This is truly crazy! I have never witness sumthin like this before. So the students get tot ake 2 oaths?? Well actually these officials are given a hard time these days. The general public should understand they are not magicians. They can not really control the terrorist situation over night but they are trying and we must back them up instead of criticizing and only insulting them.
A disgrace to the officials and what else. The entire country sees what is happening. The stats are in front of every1. Since 9/11 around more than 380 terror hits and Punjab has been hit like one of the worst. The terrorist need to be wiped off before Pakistan experiences another deadly year!!

If Taseera had any shame, he would have called it quits a long time ago. He has given his daughter’s hand to Asif Ghaddari so he is obliged and compelled to act like an attack dog for his damad. Poor soul, whenever he barks, he ends up getting a littar on his head. I sincerely hope that one of these students with an iota of conscience would not only refuse conferment but instead spit on the face of this ma*archo*d.
