Isn’t what the resolution itself say irrelevant when Nawaz himself flatly declared it an attack on the media??

Well if Nawaz Sharif is saying that the resolution is an attack on media then he is 100% wrong. The details of the resolution shows it is very pertinent taking into consideration what media is doing of late. There are many black sheep in media and fact of the matter is that percentage wise print and electronic media is more corrupt then any other institution in Pakistan.

regardless of how much in favor of free media I am, I must say that media acted like a primitive African tribe in this case.

Kashif Abbasi is an exception to the herd mentality.

The resolution opened upon a pandora box and is subjected to the criticism by the media circles… many people have termed it as an assault on the media, and call upon the matter as endaveours in banning the media….. after going through the text of the resolution, I don’t saw even a single point that could be objectable or consider against the free reporting of the news channels …

At least , to me the contents of the resolution is based upon some facts and is harmless. Most surprising is the defensive and guilty behaniour of our leadership… every one is blaming other for it and trying to keep himself out of the story………………

I don’t know why it have been so much debabted among the different circles of society and is facing the harsh criticism

Media is over reacting… media is the fourth pillar of the state and an important institution, but the matter of fact is that some of our journalists are now playing the role of a judiciary by assessing and interpreting the situation as they see and in the light of their own perception, they make judgments…

It’s the media itself to promote the concept of accountability by exposing the dirty laundry of different sections of society and thus making them answerable before the public…. then why are they thinking themselves above the law????????

Doesn’t the same concept of accountability and criticism applicable over them????????

Is the freedom of expression confined to the journalists and reporters only???????

Legislature have the right to pass the laws, rules and regulations for the proper functioning of the state institutions, media shouldn’t object over it and that’s it….

This resolution is harmless. We are an emotional nation which cannot tolerate criticism on it, but thinks it has the right to do criticism on every other person. All sensible persons are criticizing media over reaction.

The media overreacted & forced pm-n on the back foot, but it shows how irritated these politicians are about their fake degrees. We should atleast give credit to ppp of bearing the media comapared with pml-n
