Dear Visitors,
GEO and ARY in UK has been invaded by Ramadan, Cricket and Eid programs from last 2 weeks and many programs on these channels are currently being repeated multiple times.
My DSL Internet in UK is also many times slower than what I was enjoying in the US and therefore it takes 4-5 times longer for me to upload each video to the web site.
I am hoping that political programs will return back to normal as they were before Ramadan and I have also ordered a dedicated SDSL connection with bigger upload bandwidth. This will help me cover the major upcoming events like Benazir’s return and important Supreme Court decisions instantly, as I covered them in the past in live mode.
In regards to user’s comments, pkpolitics site was on its way to become similar to YouTube where you would see wonderful hate comments of every type under each video.
Initially this hatred on pkpolitics was directed only against politicians, but it gradually evolved into hatred against other visitors, against TV hosts and also against pkpolitics site itself. Last week, I officially received an email from a TV channel who complained against this Freedom of Abuse that I have provided to everyone.
Due to this, I have provided admin privileges of pkpolitics to couple of hosts and producers from both channels, who will remove any offending message without warning and without any reason.
Please also note that some regular and mature visitors contacted me many times in the past to get some offensive comments removed and I gave admin privileges to some of them, who now help me in keeping the site cleaner, since I don’t get much time to read all the comments daily.
I am also drafting terms and conditions for posting comments on the site. Most probably they will be similar to other news site where the site owner reserves the right to publish or remove any comments without any reason.
Thanks & Regards,
Admin Pakistan Politics

Dear Visitors,
I have uploaded MP3 Audio version of the first program “Capital Talk – 10 October 07″ so that visitors can enjoy these talk shows while traveling on their mobile phones, ipods or car stereos. Those with slow dial-up internet connections would also be able to enjoy these programs now due to smaller download size.
MP3 versions will be available for all programs that I put from today from GEO and ARY. If there are any favorite old episodes on this site that you would to have in MP3, please let me know and I will upload them.
Please download and test this first MP3 of Capital Talk and let me know how it goes.
Thanks,
Admin PkPolitics

Documents: Petition | Press Release
Event Coverage: Dawn | Daily Jang
Dawn Reports:
Organised by Pakistani students studying at various institutions in the UK, the protesters were joined in by lawyers and other professionals. They submitted a memorandum calling for a “formal apology from the Saudi government to the people of Pakistan’ for ‘the insult’ caused to the Pakistani nation and their Supreme Court, and asked Riyadh to allow Mr Sharif to return to Pakistan.
This was said to be the first ever such protest against the Saudi embassy in the UK and as a precautionary measure, the embassy reportedly shut its visa office for the day.
Earlier, when the protest was first mooted among students and professionals of Pakistani origin, an e-mail debate had raged on how much Mr Nawaz was himself responsible for Saudi interference in the country’s domestic politics among scores of Pakistanis even as they prepared for the event. Some had taken the position that the deportation had taken place at the initiative of Saudi Arabia.

Dear Visitors,
I am moving from US to UK tomorrow and therefore there will be no updates from now until Thursday 13th September evening.
I need help from anyone with Sky+ in London, preferably in Southeast to record few programs tomorrow. I request everyone with Sky+ to record Insight with Javed Malik (OneWorld), Focus with Faeza (One World) and Capital Talk (Geo) on 12th September.
Please leave a message in the comments and I will contact you via email. I can visit anyone at his place on Friday with my laptop and copy the programs so that we don’t miss any episode on this site.
If you are in anywhere else in the world including Pakistan and you have video capturing facility with high speed internet, I can give FTP access to pkpolitics.com server where you can upload the files.
Thanks in advance for your help.
