In the interest of preserving everyone’s sanity on this site, we need to re-iterate some ground rules and set some boundaries. But before I do that, hopefully gently, some background:
We are building an ABC or Glossary of Pakistani Politics so that newly interested people in politics can quickly catchup with political terms.
The glossary can include anything that has any relation with Pakistani Politics, including Politicians, Parties, Locations, Statements, or anything you can think of.

Dear Visitors,
Just wanted to tell you that pkpolitics.com has hit 1 Million Visitors today and wanted to thanks everyone who kept visiting even when I stopped putting the videos after emergency.
I have been in touch with various participants on the site and working with them on launching few new ideas:
- We are launching online Video News, which will be covering stories that are normally not prominent on the main news channels, specially related to Judicial Crisis. The daily video will be built by news contributed by you guys. We are looking for female newscaster, who is technical enough to record and email the video clip via Internet.
Daily Jang says that a BIG change is expected in Pakistan before 15th December, the day Emergency is supposed to be lifted by President (i) Musharraf. Benazir Bhutto is in Dubai for meetings with some noted personalities from West.
Attorney General Malik Qayyum has followed Benazir to Dubai after last minute meetings with Sharifuddin Pirzada and Musharraf.
Benazir has reportedly offered seat adjustments to Nawaz Sharif in return for blocking 18th Amendment in the Parliament.
What could be the BIG change? Please share your views below …
APDM fails to reach a consensus on election’s bycott. BBC reporting PML(N) has decided to contest polls . Earlier The News reported.
The APDM meeting held at the residence of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif concluded without reaching any conclusion regarding their participation in the upcoming elections.
Nawaz Sharif was chairing the meeting of an alliance of 33 opposition parties and political groups in the Lahore Sunday evening to decide whether to boycott Pakistan’s Jan 8 parliamentary polls.
However, they were unable to agree on whether to demand that around 60 Supreme Court and high court judges that Musharraf sacked last month be immediately reinstated.
Qazi Hussain Ahmed and Imran Khan maintained their stance to boycott the forthcoming elections and stressed that there would be no use of participating in the elections without restoration of judiciary and lifting of emergency in the country.
However, PML (N) leader Raja Zafarul Haq said after the meeting that the APDM would continue to remain in the country.
Earlier in the meeting, most of the participating political parties gave arguments in favour of taking part in the elections.
