After all the lies about the five year detention of Dr. Aafia Siddiqi were exposed last week, America has comeout with even bigger ones claiming once again they never had her but have just recently (July 17) arrested her in Afghanistan “when Ms. Siddiqui and a teenage boy were detained in Ghazni, Afghanistan, after local authorities became suspicious of their loitering outside the provincial governor’s compound” with “documents describing the creation of explosives as well as excerpts from the ‘Anarchist’s Arsenal.’ She also carried sealed bottles and glass jars filled with liquids and gels.”
They also claim in the police station she managed to grab an M-16 from a soldier and started shooting while shouting “AllahhuAkbar” and “Death to all Americans.” They claim she was shot in the stomach in return fire and has now been extradited to Guantanomo Bay.

In order to do their own face-saving and to pretent they were doing something, Pakistan Government claimed they had “sought consular access to Ms Aafia Siddiqui.” But remember this was before the new lies by the Americans.

Truth will prevail! Insha Allah. May Allah protect her and innocent children of hers. ameen
August 5th, 2008 at 7:52 am
What an upside world do we live in. WHAT A LOAD OF CRAP. Is this what the Americans have come up with. She has been portrayed in a typical hollywood manner, shouting Allah O Akbar and death to america while wanting to kill americans. The Dumb American public pays more attention to Britney’s pubic hair will be convinced that she is a fanatic and should be burned.
While we Pakis will, in our typical emotionally charged up high on rhetoric but low on substance way, keep crying foul. But who the Fuck cares what we Pakis as a nation think? Do We even? Do We even think for that matter….
August 5th, 2008 at 8:44 am
What a disgrace…………Dhoob marna ka muqaam hai kaum ke liya
This is an incident, which should enforce quick and BIG protests all over the country. Maybe we are getting used to be humiliated………..Thanks again Moshe and gang.
August 5th, 2008 at 8:59 am
May Allah(SWT) take care of Aafia.
She is the daughter and sister of the nation, we are in deep sleep, we have closed our eyes, our hearts. we include myself and all the nation. A cursed nation which hands over its own daughters, sisters to others.
Aee Khuda Aafia ko apnay hifzo aman mein rkhna (Ameen)
August 5th, 2008 at 9:24 am
shame on authorities sitting in islamabad, who donot have potential to protect their own nationals………even if she had done something wrong nobody has a right to detain or prosecute her except her own country…………but our shameless government ought not to be blamed for that because it might have sold her to americans to earn foreign exchange for the poor and hungry rulers………
August 5th, 2008 at 9:27 am
@reonze
I appreciate your concern. But that is the problem with us pakistanis that all we do is sit and pray and never do anything about anything. Today, I am ashamed of being a Pakistani!
August 5th, 2008 at 9:33 am
Not America, our leaders stand Naked, who handover a women to US dogs.
August 5th, 2008 at 9:46 am
@Adeel Rizvi
I include myself in the whole nation.
You are true that we only say few words in form of pray but do nothing. I feel this is my weakness, our nation’s weakness.
My thoughts about myself and our nation are:
If there is a fire in a city no one will take notice of it, if that fire reaches in our mohallah we will ignore it too, if that fire reaches on the other corner of street we will stand and look for few moments, if street reaches till our neighbors we may take a short notice, but we will only take notice if fire is in our house.
Believe me i myself and this nation is dead, the maximum we can do is few words. Perhaps after some time we will not say even a single word too.
I am ashamed of being a Pakistani too as i can not do any thing except few words.

From The FBI Site:
Still seeking????
From DO(in)J
Aafia Siddiqui Arrested for Attempting to Kill United States Officers in Afghanistan
On July 17, 2008, officers of the Ghazni Province Afghanistan National Police (”ANP”) observed Siddiqui outside the Ghazni governor’s compound. ANP officers questioned Siddiqui, regarded her as suspicious, and searched her handbag. In it, they found numerous documents describing the creation of explosives, as well as excerpts from the Anarchist’s Arsenal. Siddiqui’s papers included descriptions of various landmarks in the United States, including in New York City. Siddiqui was also in possession of substances that were sealed in bottles and glass jars.
On July 18, 2008, a party of United States personnel, including two FBI special agents, a United States Army Warrant Officer, a United States Army Captain, and United States military interpreters, arrived at the Afghan facility where Siddiqui was being held. The personnel entered a second floor meeting room — unaware that Siddiqui was being held there, unsecured, behind a curtain.
The Warrant Officer took a seat and placed his United States Army M-4 rifle on the floor next to the curtain. Shortly after the meeting began, the Captain heard a woman yell from the curtain and, when he turned, saw Siddiqui holding the Warrant Officer’s rifle and pointing it directly at the Captain. Siddiqui said, “May the blood of [unintelligible] be directly on your [unintelligible, possibly head or hands].” The interpreter seated closest to Siddiqui lunged at her and pushed the rifle away as Siddiqui pulled the trigger. Siddiqui fired at least two shots but no one was hit. The Warrant Officer returned fire with a 9 mm service pistol and fired approximately two rounds at Siddiqui’s torso, hitting her at least once.
Despite being shot, Siddiqui struggled with the officers when they tried to subdue her; she struck and kicked them while shouting in English that she wanted to kill Americans. After being subdued, Siddiqui temporarily lost consciousness. The agents and officers then rendered medical aid to Siddiqui.
Siddiqui, a 36-year-old Pakistani woman who previously resided in the United States, is charged in a criminal Complaint filed in the Southern District of New York with one count of attempting to kill United States officers and employees and one count of assaulting United States officers and employees. If convicted, Siddiqui faces a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison on each charge.
Mr. Garcia praised the investigative work of the Joint Terrorism Task Force (”JTTF”), the Federal Bureau of Investigation and New York City Police Department. He also expressed his gratitude to the Office of International Affairs of the Criminal Division of the United States Department of Justice and the United States Department of State for their assistance in the case. Mr. Garcia also thanked the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Massachusetts for their assistance.
Mr. Garcia said that the investigation is continuing.
Assistant United States Attorney Christopher L. Lavigne is in charge of the prosecution.
The charges and allegations contained in the Complaint are merely accusations and the defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.

PMLQ delivered Afia whereas PPP & PMLN did NOT RESCUE her.
Now Americans are saying ”Yes we have Afia. But we have our loyal dogs Zardari and Nawaz to handle you Pakis”. You can NOT do anything. You can NOT do anything.

Slap in the face of ‘ENLIGHTENED’ and ‘MODERATED’ folks. Wait till you or your family is taken away like this ‘terrorist’ girl. We will be damned for the cries of this wounded little girl if not for anything else. The satanic logics make me wish to leave this world.
August 5th, 2008 at 10:13 am
Any media persons please try to contact some high ups in Interior Ministry who can just issue a statement on record saying that they handed Dr Afia to americans in 2003. This case will be immediately droped.
August 5th, 2008 at 10:20 am
dear@ jamil
Then interior minister his excellency Mr Salhe Hayaat admitted at that time that dr Afia is safe, which suggest they know that they have sell a daughter of the nation.
Authorities are only meant to enjoy power and money, we should not expect any kind of condemned statement from these …

This is the most disturbing news. And this picture of Dr.Afia……….. O; God i don’t have the hear to see it.
I really hope people, each and every one, who are involved in handing over to US will get what they deserve in this world (early as possible), before burning in the HELL.
From the core of my heart, i wish, some day (soon) musharaf could feel and go through the same pain that he has inflicted on Dr. Afia’s family and to the families of God knows how many people.
Ya Allah aur kitni dheel iss musharaf ki rassi ko ???
August 5th, 2008 at 11:30 am
People say “Musharraf ki dheel khatam kar de”
Allah says in Quran “Jaise log waise hukmaran MUSALAT”
Since 1970 we have been jumping between Bhutto and Sharif families and Army in between.
Millions vote for Sharifs and Bhuttos again and again; and then expect miracle from Allah.
Dr. Afia, I am sorry, But my nation is addicted to PPP and PML-N
August 5th, 2008 at 11:57 am
I just want to say a big F_U_C_K_Y_O_U to all those singing praises of western media and how free and independent and unbiased they are. Now we all know the truth about this story but seehow independent yur favorite news source is:
CNN & NYT already posted above
ABC News: Al Qaeda “associate” Arrested in Afghanistan After Shootout with Questioners
LA Times: Accused Al Qaeda sleeper agent in custody
BBC: Al-Qaeda woman suspect sent to US
NY Daily News: Pakistani due in court in Afghan shootout
Reuters: Aafia Siddiqui Arrested for Attempting to Kill United States Officers in Afghanistan
UPI: Pakistani scientist in U.S. custody
AFP: Pakistani family shocked over US terror charges against mum
(Remember this is the family our Human Rights Commission could not locate — at least that’s the excuse they used for their inaction. They scream of “womens rights” but not when it matters. Thank you Asma Jehangir and Co.)
Boston Globe: Pakistani scientist alive, in custody
NBC: Feds: Woman Linked To Al Qaeda Brought To NYC For Trial
Newsday: Al-Qaida suspect charged in NY with soldier attack
Boston Herald: Ex-Boston woman with suspected terror ties located
CBS: Aafia Siddiqui Arrested for Attempting to Kill United States Officers in Afghanistan
Now I havent even included FoxNews but you will note NOT ONE is questioning the validity of thissequence of events. NOT ONE in mentioning she has been under arrest for 5 years. NOT ONE is asking where her children are. They are all just dissiminating what the DOiInJ has told them to dissiminate….

I suppose that the sensational newsmedia is (too) quick and newsmedias like counterpunch are a slower since they investigate more before airing such news.
August 5th, 2008 at 12:28 pm
I dont know when we will truely get liberation and will take care of our self respect as an individual and as a nation. For one US citizen, US can attack and kill millions. But our sister was abducted by our security forces and then sold to US by our president. Whatever we say but we are responsible for all this as we accept any general as our president and we vote Zardari, Fazlur-rehman, Chaudris etc and a person like R. malik is our interior minister.

“She is the daughter and sister of the nation”
Above all, she is a daughter and sister of Karachi and Muhajirs ( because she is a Karachiette!!), and no word from the MQM who suppose to be the responsible people for all Muhajirs.
August 5th, 2008 at 12:57 pm
they will keep telling funny stories like this, because our paki officials are “BEGHERAT”. May Allah help the innocents and our sister, aameen.
August 5th, 2008 at 1:00 pm
By the way I won’t be surprised that 5 years from now when our government finally does get access to Guantanomo, they will not find her there and say “See we told you she was not here!”. Of course they will know and we will know she is in Diego Garcia.
(This island prison has been activesince 9/11 and pretty common knowlege for the readers of alternative media but US officially admitted the existance of this stolen-by-British-Oprated by-US hell-hole only last month)

Thanks for the link to a better pic. And thanks for adding to my list:
MSNBC: Female alleged terror ‘fixer’ due in N.Y. court
Don’t you just love the headline? And the story is getting better:
Police searched her handbag and discovered documents containing recipes for explosives and chemical weapons and describing “various landmarks in the United States, including New York City,” according to the complaint, which did not identify the landmarks….
Police also found maps of Ghazni on her, including the provincial governor’s compounds and the mosques he prayed in, said governor spokesman Sayed Ismail Jahangir.
‘Liquid poison’
Siddiqui also was carrying “chemical substances in gel and liquid form that were sealed in bottles and glass jars,” the complaint said. It did not elaborate. Jahangir said she was carrying “liquid poison.”
The next day, as a team of FBI agents and U.S. military officers prepared to question her, Siddiqui grabbed a rifle, pointed it at an Army captain and yelled that she wanted blood, …
Authorities believe she entered the country from Pakistan, crossing the border at Chaman border post into the southern Kandahar province, he said. She spent two days in Kabul before going to Ghazni.
But giving credit where due, at least they mention her being secretly held and also the conflicting accounts of her “arrest:
Secretly held by U.S.?
The family attorney, Elaine Whitfield Sharp, called the charges “a tall story.”
Sharp disputed the U.S. government’s earlier claims that Siddiqui had gone underground for several years before her capture. The family suspects that after she vanished with her three children while in Pakistan in 2003, she was secretly held and possibly tortured before U.S. authorities finally brought charges to justify her detention.
“I believe she’s become a terrible embarrassment to them, but she’s not a terrorist,” Sharp said. “When the truth comes out, people will see she did nothing wrong.”
Conflicting accounts
At the time of the incident, Afghan officials gave conflicting accounts of what transpired between Siddiqui and the U.S. interrogators.
Gen. Khan Mohammad Mujahid, police chief in central Ghazni province, initially said police argued with the Americans over giving up custody of Siddiqui. But he later said there was no argument and that the woman lunged at one of the U.S. soldiers, drawing the gunshot.
U.S. military officials declined comment at the time.
August 5th, 2008 at 2:39 pm
May Allah send a Muhammad bin Qasim to rescue her. Ameen.
August 5th, 2008 at 2:42 pm
was she scientist?
BBC reports she was a scientist; what the hell today’s media is.
August 5th, 2008 at 3:17 pm
can we identify who was responsible for giving her to americans in the first place?
ISI, MI, IB, Interior Ministry..
One more thing who still have the balls to threaten Dr Aafias family?
Media persons please investigate this..
August 5th, 2008 at 3:33 pm
@Jamil
Mush, his cabinet, ISI, MI, IB, Interior Ministry…. I hold them all guilty.
Royal TV was just showing a clip of a press conference by her sister. Hope other channels cover it and we can get a video of that…
By the way once again shame on you Human Rights Commission Pakistan and Asma Jehangir and Iqbal Haider. They have been awfully quiet haven’t they?
August 5th, 2008 at 3:33 pm
sic5770
Its not worth mentioning where she is from but still we should question why MQM is not making a statement when they normally have a big mouth. These days they have a new paid job of shouting ‘no talibanisation in karachi’. I always suspected those meetings between mqm and american officials.
August 5th, 2008 at 4:20 pm

We are a Lawaris nation with no dignity whatsoever. No offcial in Islamabad is prepared to even talk on this issue. And the pakstan human right clowns, the great Asma jehangir who is always ready to fight for indian spies has not been able to give a single statement in support to Dr. Afia. Probably thinking that this would enrage their masters.
August 5th, 2008 at 5:11 pm
One of the worst nations..no doubt.. I dont even think if we are a nation!!
Talat hussain just started his Live with Talat… as I suspected there will be no mention of Dr Afia..

Terror suspect’s charges fail ’sniff test,’ lawyer says…
“This is a very intelligent woman. What is she doing outside of the governor’s residence?” Sharp said. “The woman is a Ph.D. Is a woman like this really that stupid? There is an incongruity, and I have trouble accepting the government’s claims.
“If she was carrying fluids and was considered dangerous, then why was she left unattended in a room behind a curtain? And this dangerous, hardened criminal picks up a gun and misses?”…
August 5th, 2008 at 8:27 pm
Just an example of a story authored by the same people who brought us this latest spin about Dr Aafia:
U.S. Army Private LaVena Lynn Johnson, RIP
According to the U.S. Department of Defense, Private LaVena Lynn Johnson killed herself on July 19, 2005, eight days before her twentieth birthday. Exactly how did she end her life? She punched herself in the face hard enough to blacken her eyes, break her nose, and knock her front teeth loose. She douched with an acid solution after mutilating her genital area. She poured a combustible liquid on herself and set it afire. She then shot herself in the head. Despite this massive self-inflicted trauma, she somehow managed to drag her then fully clothed body into the tent of a KBR contractor, leaving a trail of blood along the way and set the tent ablaze in a failed attempt to cover up her crimes against herself.
If this story sounds plausible to you, you may have missed your calling as an officer in the U.S. Army, because Army officers, speaking with a straight face, would have you believe that such a thing is not only possible, but actually happened.
In reality, LaVena Johnson was raped, beaten, and murdered by someone on a military base in Balad, Iraq, and the Army doesn’t want you to know about it. Army officers most especially didn’t want her parents to know about it, so they concocted the suicide story, informing them that their daughter had shot herself in the head in her barracks.
When LaVena’s body was returned to her parents, however, her father, Dr. John Johnson, immediately noticed that her nose was broken and her lip was torn. He was surprised to discover that her gloves were glued to her hands (as it turns out, to hide burns). As a former military man himself, he also recognized that the exit wound from the bullet could not possibly have come from the weapon the military claimed LaVena used to kill herself. He knew then that the Army was lying to him, that his daughter had been murdered. He made these discoveries three years ago. Today, the Army is still lying to him, and to us….

August 5th, 2008 at 10:00 pm
‘A Muslim woman was taken prisoner by the Roman Army and called for help from the Abassid Khalifah of the time, al Mu’tasim. He immediately ordered a mobilization of forces and led those forces himself in an attack of Roman territory in response to the call of a single Muslim woman. The response to her plea from the Muslims of that time was the complete severance of diplomatic relations, and Declaration of War against the superpower of the time.’
Where does our government stand on this issue? Shame on Pakistani Government. Yusuf Raza Gillani should apologize to the whole nation. Allah help the whole Ummah.
August 5th, 2008 at 10:11 pm
perhaps after this- all the SECULAR JIHADISTS issuing Fatwaz against the TALIBAAN and TALIBAAN Sympathizers like Hamid Mir etc will think and reflect on the genoside and rampant human rights abuses being carried out every moment of every day of every month against the Muslims of Afghanistan, Iraq and now Pakistan.
Perhaps they will now understand the fury of those that have suffered in the Pushtoon areas of Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Perhaps NOW they will use this LITMUS test to seperate those that have sold their sould to the West-( Zardari, Musharraf, BB etc)- and those that are standing upto the west-( IK etc)- in their comments.
PERHAPS - but probably NOT. !

I can’t understand why no one was raising voice for her since 2003. I mean where was her sister and family?? If nation can stand for cheif justice than why not for this innocent woman. I know we are a selfish and lazy nation but I think we are still alive and all we need is a right leader who can combine all the force against our enemies. anyway we should spread this topic all over the world and try to plan peaceful protests in our local communities.

I don’t expect anything better from American cowboys. but wtf is the Pakistani government doing? wtf is that bullying thug Hussain Haqqani doing now? why doesn’t he open his big mouth now?
I honestly hope that Musharraf’s mother, wife and daughter suffer just like Dr. Aafia has. I hope Musharraf’s loved ones are humiliated and tortured and have their lives destroyed just like he has destroyed the lives of so many Pakistanis.
this man needs to be hanged. we need to make an example out of him. we can’t let another military bashterd get away. otherwise they will keep coming and doing their meray azeez humwatno routine. we need to make an example out of this one so that no one follows in his ghaleez, beghairat footsteps.

Even in the weakest form the Muslim armies were moved on the call of one woman.
Khalifah Mo’stasim and Governor Hajjaj Bin Yusuf responded the call of one woman, sending Muslim army to invade robbers in Sindh.
Today not only Sister Afiah but millions of Muslim women are wailing but to no avail of over fifty deaf and dumb Muslim rulers. The aim of Hizbut Tahrir by observing Khilafah day was to inculcate among the Muslims that the solution to all of their problems laid in establishing Islamic Khilafah which would protect their lives and resources against all the enemies.

Dr. Aafia’s case: US authorities are taking lies to the extreme
Authorities believe Siddiqui used the technical skills she acquired at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology to do what virtually no other woman has accomplished — work her way into the clubby inner circles of Al Qaeda’s command and control operation, including its chemical and biological weapons program. Read more lies in LA Times: Accused Al Qaeda sleeper agent in custody
http://www.dictatorshipwatch.com/
The question is: Where are Al-ka-ee-da’s chemical and biological weapons? The US has been in Afghanistan for the past seven years. Did it find a trace of those chemical and biological weapons? Or the Al-qaeda is carrying all those weapons in their pockets from cave to cave and are so much in love with those weapons that they did even try to use them against their enemies in the past seven years. May be they just don’t want to part ways with those precious weapons. They just don’t want to let them go. Even if we believe this unbelievable assumption, still the US didn’t even recover any trace of such weapons from the “safe houses” and “compounds” of Al-ka-ee-da from where they smoked out the terrorists.
The bottomline is that the alleged al-ka-ee-da’s chemical and biological weapons are as non-existent as the al-ka-ee-da itself.

Did they forget to mention the kids. Are they any sort of trainee terrorists. Doesnt it smell the Israeli mindset where every palestinian kid is a potential suicide bomber.
Thanks to whoever supported the cause so far as it has resulted in a hastily prepared case in a US court of law that would hopefully shame the US administration in releasing her soon.

Message from a PTI member sent to Dr. Arif Alvi (Secretary Gen. of PTI)
Dear Sir,
We have been hearing news of hundreds of people who are missing and have seen families crying for their beloved ones, bombardment on innocent civilians in NWFP and Balochistan etc. But more than a regretful feeling and sadness there was nothing different for us as we have been waiting for our turn when some secret agency will take away any of our beloved one without any reason without any justification so easily. But from the day I have read this news and have seen documentaries on Youtube and other website and forum regarding Dr Afia’s presence in Bagram Prison. I am not been able to sleep calmly. I feel like loosing my faith. From shame and painful feeling that what we could do her I am passing each day with desperate helplessness.
For last one year I am working in Muscat Oman. The first idea that came into my mind was to raise voice and arrange some kind of protest here in front of US embassy or in front of Sultan Quboos (President sultanate of Oman). But here its reality that like other arabs they do not allow any kind of protest / rallies etc specially in Oman where majority and Oman population and their leadership is kind of Ayyash People. The other drawback for arranging some kind of protest will be that they will stop issuing visa for Pakistanis who come here for jobs.
Since Mr Imran Khan is constantly making efforts for missing people and have also arranged some protest for Dr Afia as well. In this regard I want to suggest that to raise our voice more effectively all around the world, we have to do something very solid and real. I suggest we should arrange a “HUNGEER STRIKE TILL DETAH” for demanding Pak Govt Strong and real efforts for Dr’ Afia’s release. For this purpose I volunteer myself, I will come back to Pakistan immediately and will go for real hunger strike till death.
I must point out here… that When Hazrat Ibrahim Alehassalam was put into fire. One small bird was going with water in his mouth to throw it on fire. Someone asked the bird what can happen by your work. The bird said.. I know nothing will happen but atleast in QAYAMAT i would give answer to Allah that I tried my level best to helpout your NABI.
I know my presence for a hunger strike can do nothing for this mission of helping out people whose beloved ones are in US or our agencies coustody but at least, by making all my efforts I can get rid of this pain and shame from which I am passing through. 2nd thing normal protest and normal hunger strike makes no impact on our government who seems to be complete American slaves. We must have to sacrifice and prove with fullest strength that PTI will go to last level without wasting any more time for Dr Afia’s release and will also prove that it is only PTI who feels pain and who dares to sacrifice for its nation.
I look forward for your immediate response and hope that you will consider my suggestion and will allow me to go for hunger strike through your platform.
At the end I would also like to clear that losing job will not be a issue for me as I can easily generate and find job for me in Karachi or in any gulf country later one.
Awaiting your soonest response.
Thanks & Regards
Waqas Ahmed

America stands naked
May I know who is considered to be worse in Pakistani traditions, the one who stands naked or the one who “licks” him? Certainly, Pakistan Army, Musharraf and now Zardari fall in the later category.

Please write to the relevant authorities listed below and request them to investigate immediately. Dr. Afia’s whereabouts must be confirmed and the safety of her children assured. Regardless of whether Dr. Afia is Prisoner 650 or not the fact is that she has been missing, along with her children for five years. The governments of the USA and Pakistan at first confirmed her arrest and then denied it. Both governments have a duty to report any information they might have on the matter.
SAMPLE LETTER:
Dear________,
PAKISTAN/USA: A lady doctor is missing with her three children since five years after her arrest
Name of victim: Ms. Dr. Afia Siddiqui and her three children
Block 7, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Karachi, Sindh province
The units of the alleged perpetrators: Intelligence agencies of Pakistan and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI-US)
I am shocked to know that Dr. Afia Siddiqui, a Pakistani citizen has been missing with her three children since April 2003, after her arrest by intelligence agencies of Pakistan. The whereabouts of children is also unknown, which is a serious act of negligence on the part of the government with regard to its responsibility to protect the citizen of the Pakistan.
According to the information I have received Dr. Afia was picked-up by Pakistani intelligence agencies while on her way to the airport and initial reports suggested that she was handed over to the American FBI. A few days later an American news channel, NBC, reported that Afia had been arrested in Pakistan on suspicion of facilitating money transfers for terror networks of Osama Bin Laden.
On April 1, 2003, a small news item was published in an Urdu daily with reference to a press conference of then Interior Minister Faisal Saleh Hayat when, in reply to a question regarding the arrest of Dr. Siddiqui, he said she has not been arrested. But in another report the minister for interior said,”You will be astonished to know about the activities of Dr. Afia.” A weekly English magazine in its special coverage on Dr. Afia reported that after one week of the incident, an intelligence agency official, a motor cyclist in plain clothes, came to the house of her mother and warned “We know that you are connected to higher-ups but do not make an issue out of her daughter’s disappearance” and threatened her with dire consequences. After this development the whereabouts of Dr. Afia and her children are yet unknown.
What is also of grave concern to me is that when she was arrested by Pakistani intelligence authorities she was handed over to American intelligence agencies without being tried in Pakistan, I do not find any rationale in sending her along with her children to other country when there are Pakistani laws to deal with the suspected terrorists. It is known that President Musharraf handed over 600 suspected terrorists to America.
There are reports that in Afghanistan’s prison of Bagram there is a woman prison known as Prisoner 650 and that she has been severely tortured. It is also widely suspected that Prisoner 650 is Dr. Afia Siddiqui. This prisoner has reportedly lost her mind due to constant rape and ill treatment.
I remind you that this is the duty of coalition government under Prime Minister Mr. Yousaf Raza Gillani to probe cases of those Pakistani suspected terrorists who have been handed over to foreign forces in the name of war on terror. The government should also inform Pakistani citizens about the whereabouts of Dr. Afia Siddiqui and her children. I also demand that government should also ensure the safety of her children.
Yours sincerely,

Ansar Abasi in yesterdays Capital Talk said that Mush personally gave approval of giving her to CIA thugs in 2003.
She told her lawyer that she was rapped in custody.
Atleast YRG should ask the americans to give her proper medical care and also appoint a very good lawyer for her.
A.D.M.I.N please contact your PML- N sources and ask them to raise this issue with YRG.
Allah help us all.

Is it possible to upload geo tv’s program Alim Online, in which Dr Aafia’s sister and her mother were interviewed?
August 7th, 2008 at 11:53 am
Much as we may believe these efforts will have an impact on the case, nothing is going to happen. The Americans are going to try Dr. Aafia and convict her.
Sadly it is too late now.
My prayer goes out for Dr. Aafia and her family. May Allah have mercy.
August 7th, 2008 at 1:28 pm
Why, then, would Aafia Siddiqui have been arrested and kept in secret confinement for so long?
The answer may lie in her relationship with the family of alleged 9/11 mastermind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed.
Aafia Siddiqui is said to have married Ali Abd’al Aziz Ali, one of his nephews following her divorce.
Although her family denies this, the BBC has been able to confirm it from security sources and Khalid Sheikh Mohammed’s family.
It is an open secret in Karachi, that any member of Khalid Sheikh Mohammed’s family deemed to be “a 1% threat to US security” is in American custody.
That may be the only “crime” that Aafia Siddiqui has committed.
In the eyes of US and Pakistani security officials, it was apparently too big to ignore.

“Did they forget to mention the kids.”
At least one of her (US citizen) sons, a twelve year old kid is still in prison in Afghanistan.
Am glad for the following The News Editorial:
And the children… ?
A little more clarity has emerged in respect of Aafia Siddiqui who appeared in a New York court on Aug 5 and was ordered to be held without bail. We now at least know that she is alive, though not in the best of health according to eyewitness reports from the courtroom. We also know that she is in civilian, rather than military, custody. But there are many things we do not know – not the least of these being the whereabouts of her three children. Some reports of her alleged original arrest in Afghanistan on July 17 July say that she had a young child with her at the time – but there are no subsequent reports of what happened to that child or the whereabouts of her other two children….

In a bid to catch up with FBI’s lies, more lies from our Foreign Office:
Pakistan lacks information about Aafia’s case: FO
…”We still do not know when was she arrested originally, where are her children, how did she go missing? We are still trying to find these facts,” spokesman Mohammad Sadiq said at a briefing on Thursday.
When asked if Dr Aafia?s arrest would affect Pakistan-US relations, he said: “We don’t have full information about the case to take a decision. You are talking about the second step, we are still in the first step.”
He said Pakistan was seeking from the United States consular access to Dr Aafia and wanted to provide medical assistance. He also said that the government was committed to bringing back all Pakistanis detained in other countries….

Just to give you a perspective about the kind of people we are dealing with:
The Ongoing Persecution of Sami al-Arian
…There are few prospects in the justice system so grimly awful as when the feds decide never to let go. Rebuffed in their persecutions of some target by juries, or by contrary judges, they shift ground, betray solemn agreements, dream up new stratagems to exhaust their victims, drive them into bankruptcy, despair and even suicide. They have all the money and all the time in the world.
Several months ago I wrote here about the appalling vendetta conducted by the US Justice Department against Sami al-Arian, a professor from Florida who had the book thrown at him in 2003 by Attorney General Ashcroft. As I described it back then, Dr al-Arian was charged in a bloated terrorism and conspiracy case an
