    First of all I agree with the posts recommending a fixation (CHITROL) of police. Coming to the main topic, one way to reduce such civil-military security forces contention is to move big garrisons away from the metropolitan areas, for example, into the Salt Ranges instead of Rawalpindi.

    These cantonments were planned primarily to control and subjugate the locals by the British Royal Army. The vacated prime lands can be put to use for trade, commerce and industrial production – A vital ingredient for the prosperity of a country. Vast majority of the United State forces are stationed far away from the population centers commonly known as Fort This and Fort That. The War Office of the world - The Pentagon is built only on a few hundred acres.

    Only a small defense complex close to the secretariat is sufficient for the Chiefs and 111-Birigade. (By the way, many such conflicts occur under the cover of army “intelligence” operations.)

    Your oponion regarding moving garrisons away from cities is very right but haven't u heard about new GHQ being constructed in Islamabad at cost of 6B $ .

    yes i think GHQ and other military establisments should be kept away from the main city. The only problem is that cantt areas of most of the city are very well developed and kept neat and clean. While on the other hand cities that don't have cantt areas remain ignored because civil govt. does not pay much attention. Military utilize their fund relatively better way on these things than civil institutions. Thats my experience you people may differ.

    Pak fauj ke napak karnamey ki dastan bhoot purani hey. Lots of people from East Pakistan have told me karnamey of our bahadur fauj in Dhaka.

    If Hamid Mir's story is right, then I will say it doesn’t surprise me at all. Shame on our bahadur fauj. I can remember one of the badmash and ghunda gardi of some army jawans in an army truck in Muree some 23 years ago in which fauji jawans positioned their guns on us merely due to a trifling road rage incident.

    Siddiqi! while you are picking up some individualistic acts of some person/s and generalizing it on a whole organization..........is it fair?

    Pak army is a name of a organization which may consist on ONE million persons,....while some of them do bad things, as it is in every organization....can we accuse the whole organization? When you say "pak-army" to you point finger towards everyone of them, while probably 98% of them are as good as you suppose to be, then HOW to justify your accuse?

Russai ko shikasat ka natteja aap kay samnay hai; AK-47 and heroine culture, millions of Afghan refugees jinho nay aap kay mulk kee waat laga dee hai and worst of all we did not attain anything strategically by driving the Russians out of of this region as we still have an Afghan government which is even more hostile than its predecessors. That is some strategic depth and it shows the myopic mindset of our joker military planners.

    Rah gai sakoonat kee baat, tu bhai yeh mumlikat-e-Khudad Pakistan hamara hai, hum nay yaheen rahna hai aur is mulk ka muun kalla karnay waloon ka aihtesaab karna hai.

    Aik idara ya institution apnay "baroon" ya chund generaloon kee harkatoon ka hee reflection hai and the whole institution as such is responsible for the follies of their few.

    bara valid point uthaya hay aap nay. zaroor gira sakti hay lakin khud nahi gira rahi. thora nuqsaan karva rahi hay aur aisi policy chala rahi hay kay drone giraaney waalay hi tabah ho jaein .. long term strategy .. ye mera view point hay .. ho sakta hay aap ittefaq na kar sako.

    Don't know why people who don't have a temerament for discussion waste their time on forums ????

    Such people need to grow up a bit , have some idealogy and arguments for and against the idealogy.

    I would suggest admin / moderator to set a age limit and make the forum 'adult only'.
