20 % Pakistani wishes to live abroad

    پاکستانی فوج ایک واحد ادارہ ہے جس پر اسّی فیصد عوام نے اعتماد برقرار رکھا ہوا ہے: سروے

    ایک تازہ سروے کے مطابق پاکستان میں تقریباً بیس فیصد شہری ملک چھوڑنے کے خواہشمند ہیں۔

    ابو ظہبی میں قائم گیلپ تنظیم کی جانب سے یہ سروے مئی دو ہزار گیارہ میں کیاگیا۔ اس سے قبل سنہ دو ہزار آٹھ میں صرف چھ فیصد پاکستانی ایسے تھے جو باہر جا کر اپنی زندگی بہتر بنانے کا ارادہ رکھتے تھے۔

    اس رپورٹ کے مطابق پاکستانی عوام کی ملک چھوڑ کر جانے کی خواہش کی شرح میں اضافہ اپنے ملک میں اداروں پر اعتماد کی کمی ہے۔

    سروے کے مطابق ایک تہائی سے بھی کم پاکستانی افراد حکومت، مقامی پولیس، انتخابات میں شفافیت جیسے امور پر اعتماد رکھتے ہیں۔

    اسلام آباد میں ہماری نامہ نگار نخبت ملک نے بتایا کہ یہ سروے پانچ سے پچیس مئی کے درمیان کیا گیا جب ایبٹ آْباد میں امریکی کارروائی کے بعد سکیورٹی اداروں پر ملک میں شدید تنقید کی جا رہی تھی۔ تاہم سروے کے مطابق پاکستانی فوج ایک واحد ادارہ ہے جس پر اسّی فیصد عوام نے اعتماد برقرار رکھا ہوا ہے۔

    اکیاسی فیصد پاکستانی اپنے ملک کی حکومت کو بدعنوان سمجھتے ہیں جبکہ گزشتہ چھ سالوں میں یہ شرح تیرہ فیصد بڑھی ہے۔

    پاکستانی افراد اپنے علاقے کے نمائندوں پر بھی اعتماد نہیں رکھتے۔ محض تین میں سے ایک پاکستانی ایسا ہے جو اپنے علاقے میں موجود حکومتی نمائندے یا سرکاری اہلکار سے مطمئین ہے۔

    اس رپورٹ کو ترتیب دینے والوں کے مطابق یہ سروے تقریباً دس ہزار ایک سو انتالیس بالغ افراد سے براہ راست گفتگو کے بعد سامنے آیا ہے۔

    رپورٹ میں کہا گیا ہے کہ پاکستان کو مسلسل غربت، تعلیم کی کمی، شدت پسندی، بیروزگاری جیسے مسائل کا سامنا ہے اور کئی سالوں تک ایک غیر سرکاری تحقیقاتی ادارے فنڈ فار پیس کے انڈیکس پر پاکستان ایک ناکام ریاست کے طور پر اس کا نام لیا جا رہا ہے۔

    رپورٹ کے مطابق پاکستانی مرد ملک میں عدلیہ اور دوسرے اداروں پر اپنی پسند اور ناپسندیدگی کا اظہار عورتوں کی نسبت زیادہ کرتے ہیں۔

    اکہتر فیصد پاکستانی مردوں کا خیال ہے کہ عدلیہ پر انہیں اعتماد ہے جبکہ اسی سوال کا جواب جب عورتوں سے پوچھا گیا تو چالیس فیصد نے اس کا جواب دیا۔

    رپورٹ کے مطابق اکیاسی فیصد پاکستانیوں کے خیال میں حکومت وقت بدعنوان ہے جبکہ سنہ دو ہزار پانچ میں یہی تعداد اڑسٹھ فیصد تھی۔

    I think that 80% wish so. If these surveys could go out of Lahore Islamabad type cities.
    However it is not me, It is BBC.

    I think Anwer Kamal has a point here. Pakistanis feel secure and safe, away from the present Pakistan where Police and hardcore criminals are one, supported by corrupt lawyers including judges while accepting or offering bribe is a norm.

    Law and order remains a dream for us Pakistanis who worry more about contaminated water supply, atta, chini, daal, water logged meat, cooking oil, petrol, brown outs or black outs days on end (electricity), lack of support regarding basic education that continues including the past and the most worst of them all, the current government, fake (denatured /expired) medicines and food stuff, fear of being kidnapped for ransom….the list is endless.

    In comparison, countries where Pakistanis reside, do feel comfortable for the reasons provided above and should not be taken as they are Pakistanis no more!

    They yearn for their Pakistan bearing a common wish that Pakistan to be a state truly in accordance to the title ‘PAKISTAN’ that we dreamed of and struggled for.

    i also think 90% of young educated majority wants to leave Pakistan for bright future.
    Reason they want peaceful life, bright future, good employment, sense of childeren security, good modern education, equal rights in society, self respect, social justice, good health facilities, pure food, corruption free environment etc.

    It is very serious national tragedy that majority of citizens do not want to live in our Islamic republic of Pakistan.

    Our people are so much disappointed that they want to leave homeland.

    Our powerful decission makers must think seriously that their policies since 1952 onward have ruined all our feelings, hopes, efforts, sacrifices and sense of ownership of this country.

    The point we have arrived is impossible to reverse ?

    Jinnah's death led to a major power vacuum and the rise of small minded short termist politicians but that was not the only reason

    I agree, and the rise of these "short termist politicians" (I refer to call them termites) was ensured by the army, who wanted "yes" men and what do we get? Politicians with a very LOW character?

    The army did not begin intefering seriously in pk politics till the mid-50's when Ayub Khan began to connive with Iskander Mirza to take over the government.

    Ayub Khan (i.e. the army) did not take power until '58

    That is a ten year period where the politicians were almost solely to blame for the mismanagement of the country.

    Also I blame Jinnah for not planning a clear succession strategy knowing that he was old and terminally ill

    so while we suffered as a nation due to Jinnah's death - we must be a pretty sorry excuse for a nation as we were unable to supply any decent leaders to guide us through the initial birth pangs..

    Right, but you know that it takes time for the army to pave the way for a direct take over. Don't you believe they had been working behind the scenes for years to make a take over a easier at a later stage? Easier in the sense that after a period of time when people "realize" the incompetence of the politicians. And how can the assassination of LAK be linked to this process?

    unlike many people on this forum i am a much stronger believer in randomness and chaos of events as opposed to conspiracies and planning..

    I think the army happened to be in the right place and the right time to position themselves as the sole powerbroker in the country and eventually take power.

    Was the muslim league made up of such political minnows that the death of two people devastated the entire party??

    اگر جمہوریت ہوتی تو پچاسی فیصد عوام کی رائے کو تقدس حاصل ہوتا جو کہ اس حکومت کو بدعنوان سمجھتے ہیں اور طرز حکومت پر اعتماد نہیں کرتے، اگر جمہوریت پسند اس رائے شماری کو دیکھیں تو معلوم ہو کہ ملک میں جمہوریت نہیں بلکہ آمریت ہے

    فوجی اور بین الاقوامی قوتیں سودا پہلے تے کرتی ہیں اور پھر جمہوریت کا سہرا پہنا دیتی ہیں

    بی بی سی کو حیران اس بات پر ہونا چاہیے تھا کہ آخر یہ اسی فیصد عوام ان مشکل ترین حالات میں جہاں بنیادی ضروریات زندگی جیسے بجلی پانی گیس تعلیم امن و امان صحت مہیا نہیں تو وہ پھر بھی یہاں رہنے پر کیوں بضد ہیں، ہونا تو الٹا چاہیے تھا کہ اسی فیصد ملک سے بھاگنے کی خواہش ظاہر کرے اور بیس فیصد رہنے کی خواہش
