It's a very good interview. Initially Luckman disliked Imran Khan/PTI. He has now realized the true quality of the Kaptaan!

Thank you, RhyMe. Lukman-IK, both at their very best. They make a super team. As Scandinavian says, our Kaptaan is gaining in authority every day that passes. That is the mark of the true leader.

Kaptaan is very "Slow" in his decisions and lately have been romancing with agencies. "Dislike"
This romancing the stones may cost him a very weak position if he did bargain in order to come into Govt.

KHAN_Sahib, Kaptaan is growing a bit older perhaps, hence his reflexes are slowing down. Are you sure about his romance with the agencies? I haven't really come across anything along those lines yet.
And then the million dollar question: If not the Kaptaan, then who for Pakistan? Beggars can't be choosers, alas, can they? If we have the integrity, who cares about the agencies?

@Khan_Sahib
If you think that agencies are supporting/approaching the Kaptaan then maybe you consider him as a liar. Maybe you also consider Kaptaan as a less capable leader (that's your choice), but there are certain things you cannot take away from him without having your own credibility at stake :)
Kaptaan is a brave man!
Kaptaan is honest man!Either you haven't watched the numerous debate programs where he has denied the noon propaganda or you are just ignoring the facts. You are the best man to clarify.
Btw: I know that you are not a nooner...thank God ;)
Have a look at the video below. I hope you have the time since I know that you are involved in a "minor" battle against your MQM "friends". I also it's a big task to convince the MQM apologists/facists :(
At least listen from 53:10

@MG sahib
No, his political reflexes are stronger than ever. He has spotted that he can go for the kill now. All the corrupt to the core and status quo parties have made one blunder after another and hence they are very vulnerable i.e. they lack public support. The Kaptaan has public support! You will see the Kaptaan going for the kill and hence win the next elections, inshallah! You will see him hit sixes and bowl in-swinging/toe crushing yorkers :)

@Scandinavian,
First of all, I really don't care about my own credibility as long as Kaptaan maintain its own.
You don't have to convince me as I am a keen supporter from the day he enter into the political world.
I have no doubts about his loyalty and sincerity towards muslims and specially pakistanis or else I would have been supporting ANP on the racial basis.
In my view he is the best and only Man for the job. As regards to the news about his romance.... Well, lets put it this way, that a little birdie whispered in my ear though I am happy that Kapptan is learning but my only fear is that he doesn't "Compromise" on his Policies and Principles. I hope he wont do that.

@Khan_sahib
Great...Like you I am not a supporter of racial based politics either. Kaptaan is not from my ethnicity. The most important issue for me is his
- (good) character
- bravery
- Honesty
- Capability
- Sincerity
- HumanityKaptaan is a human being and can make mistakes, but I don't believe he will compromise on his vision. Why? Because he could have made the short cuts far earlier in his political career, but he firmly refrained from making dirty deals. He could have become the PM, but he refused. None of the current "politicians" would have done that. I don't believe he will back track. He has repeatedly said that he would rather end up like Asgher Khan (with dignity intact) rather than giving up his vision!
I think last time he said it was in Lucman's program:

Good, excellent, thanks. At least we have not turned this into MQM for and against battlefield and we all agree on essentials.
Now a word about the agencies, honesty compels. We put all the blame of everything on them. And yet they who are who stand most to lose if Pakistan ever unravelled, God forbid. The army needs a functioning government if they themselves are not going to be swallowed up by the enemy. They can't just pack up their bags and start a new life elsewhere on their ill-gotten gains, the army no. So perhaps they too have realised Kaaptan's many qualities and are secretly supporting him. But that Kaaptan is after them for their support, I do not believe.
Also, last but not least, if our present rift with the US, which is an absolute necessity for Pakistan's future survival, has come about it, it is wholly thanks to our army, however corrupt it may be otherwise, and their fearless stand ever since the RD case began. Give the devil his due, after all.

@MG sb,

I fully agree with your post. The need of the hour for all Pakistanis is to rally behind quality leadership of PTI/IK. Otherwise there will be no Pakistan and hence no army/agencies. Like you I also think this message has finally gone through their thick heads.
We cannot afford to expose these vital institutions to our enemies. They would love to dismantle/destroy them. What we need is to put them under the control of a genuine leadership of the Kaptaan.
Btw we must never allow the evil forces of status quo to have ANY control over them. They are total sell outs! Can you imagine Rehman Malik or any Kughoo Ghorha leading these institutions?
Posted 10 months ago on 17 Jul 2011 8:52 # -
No, I cannot, Scandinavian, I really cannot. I shudder and shrivel up at the very thought of more of the same at the hands of Rehman Malik and his lot. So it is PTI/IK for us all. God knows, many of us are doing all we can to promote the cause of saving Pakistan. Failure is no longer an option. You have realised it, KHAN_Sahib has, I have and I honestly believe so has the majority in this country. It's a question of a few months now, I'd say.

Agreed with Khan Sahib
Guys think why Mubashar Luqman the known MQM stooge has suddenly started to "like" Imran Khan Sahib?
Isn't it after Imran's willingness to sit/work with MQM?
Think about Imran's strategy, get Army's support, follow chief's political policy and win elections, at the end of the game if Imran becomes PM, he will be no more powerful than Mir Zafaralluh Khan Jamali
Look at recent election results, Zardari is winning elections... I can't imagine a person like Zardari winning people's votes in Pakistan-

@Salam
"Think about Imran's strategy, get Army's support, follow chief's political policy and win elections, at the end of the game if Imran becomes PM, he will be no more powerful than Mir Zafaralluh Khan Jamali"
The above could have happened when Imran was offered the Jamali post i.e. a puppet PM of Pakistan, but he blankly refused hence your theory has failed! He can make compromises but not any compromise on his vision.
Btw: Personally I cannot rule out working with any XYZ political party in spite great sins in the past. Why? Because the "loot maar" has been so wide spread that we would loose more than what can be gained by bringing everybody to INSTANT justice. I believe in the Kaptaan's suggestion about giving a time frame for everybody to become clean, f.ex. 1-2 month. If people don't then they must face the consequences!
Posted 10 months ago on 17 Jul 2011 11:32 # -
@salam,
I can't say anything about Lucqman's conversion, and it might well has to to do with Imran's contact with Altaf, however, I am pretty sure that Imran, on his part, didn't intend any political move when he called Altaf on a specific issue. And lately, if you note, Imran has been repeating his old stance about MQM, which is that it must renounce politics of violence.
Imran is not playing into the hands of the agencies, and the proof of this is that he knows exactly what you are talking about, that if one comes to power through the support of agencies, he will have nothing in his hands and will be no more powerful than a Zafarulah Jamali or a Shaukat Aziz. Imran has repeated this stance on many occasions. He is in politics to bring a change, not for easy accession to power, for he has already achieved everything in life there is to achieve - fame, money, and more importantly, respect. His 15 years track record in politics also underscores this fact. No political party of Pakistan could sustain such a lengthy period without once coming to power.
