Absar joins Aaj

    SO HAPPY to hear the news.... thank God upright and brave journalists like him are finally back.I am sure he will be able to make the difference and guide the media in the right direction.We need people like him to show us the true picture and provide us the right news without drama or mirch masala.

    sure bro,:).After departure of Talat Hussain from Aaj News to Dawn News, top journalist and analyst Absar Alam has joined Aaj News. He would be hosting Aaj News’ top current affair shows.     Absar has extensively reported for The New York Times, The Boston Globe, Al-Ahram of Egypt, and daily Tokyo Shimbun. He spent a year in Singapore working as Deputy Editor for monthly Asian Water, a subsidiary of daily Asia News. He has a multidimensional journalistic experience and whilst keeping investigative reporting as core discipline, Absar has anchored and scripted political programmes on television. Aaj News has earned a reputation of encouraging gallant journalism and induction of Absar in Aaj News team will raise the bar even higher.-

    How could you forget about him and YBM?

    ...Now, Absar Alam (who used to work for Geo previously) was the Director News, after whose resignation, the whole Maheen Usmani case - in which she accused YBM of sexual harassment - came to light. In fact, Ms. Usmani alleged that the first instance of such harassment occurred while Mr. Alam was still the Director News and that after she reported the matter to him, he had helped assuage her concerns and shielded her from YBM. It was Alam's departure that had led to, she claimed, YBM exacting revenge on her and making life unbearable for her at Dunya TV...

    NOTA jee,thanks for mentioning as this was the most decent way and a big sacrifice which only a brave and honest man like him would have given.i salute him for this and appreciate him for all the goodness he has.
