    Marjah, the city that never was

    It turns out, however, that the picture of Marjah presented by military officials and reported by major news media is one of the clearest and most dramatic pieces of misinformation of the entire war, apparently aimed at hyping the offensive as an historic turning point in the conflict.

    Marjah is not a city or even a real town, but a few clusters of farmers' homes amid a large agricultural area that covers much of the southern Helmand River Valley.

    The sooner we get rid of talibans the better. Thanks to US troops for their efforts in Afghanistan. On this side of the border, Pak Army is doing their best to finish off taliban terrorists. A Sri lankan style war is needed against all terrorists no matter how long it takes to win the war.

    @achtung

    We should ask hariskhan what is his position in Jamat Islami? Was he past of JI? or Is he present of JI? or wil he be future of JI?
    I am sure hariskhan aira ghera nahin hey; he has some position in Mansoora Lahore.
    hariskhan thinks we should not launch army action against taliban killers but let talibans kill Pak army soldiers and Police day in day out even cut throats of soldiers in front of video camera.

    Wow!, rather than giving people of Pakistan justice, Pakistan conducts military operations against them.

    How is that a sane course of action ?

    what is difference in between American forces and taliban in Afghanistan.

    The both are doing same with common man.

    The both are terrorists.
