Afghanistan: US troops advance near Pak border

Peshawar: The United States has deployed hundreds of soldiers near North Waziristan area of Pakistan, bordering troubled-Afghanistan.

Sources said that the US forces have also shifted heavy cache of weapons besides gunship helicopters in Khost province of Afghanistan. The province is located near to Pakistani border.

Tension prevailed among locals after the news emerged in media, the sources said. The locals have informed Pakistan’s political administration regarding the US advancement close to Pakistani border.

The US forces have also started door-to-door search operation in Khost province, but their is no report of any arrest, the sources added.

Meanwhile, Pakistan’s political administration said that they were closely watching the advancement of US troops. They said Pakistani forces were also ready to tackle the situation.

Curfew has also been imposed in North Waziristan causing large queues of heavy and light vehicles near Pak-Afghan border.

It is pertinent to mention here that several American legislators have demanded operation in North Waziristan, but US Defence Secretary Leon Panetta had cleared that American has no plan to launch military action in Pakistan.

Tension between both the countries prevailed after former US admiral Mike Mullen leveled allegations that Pakistna’s ISI was supporting Haqqani network.

Probably the supplies to U.S. troops from Karachi are probably in full swing. These supplies probably will the be ones that are also getting set on the Afghan side of the border by the U.S.

Yeah what else to do, OCCUPY WALL-STREET is in full swing, people around the globe have fed up with Capital System... they are demanding their rights... An Arab Spring kind of thing is happening in west and how to shift the focus, attack or make a move on war front... let people not talk about the wall-street thing, let them talk about the possible actions as a result of two major incidents, one, arrest of Iranian in an Assassination plot and 2nd move soldiers to the most talked region in the world, NWA...

NATO violated Pakistan airspace in Balochistan: ANP

QUETTA: The Awami National Party (ANP) on Monday informed the Balochistan Assembly that North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) forces had violated Pakistani airspace in Qila Abdullah, a district that shares the border with Afghanistan.

ANP Parliamentary Leader, Provincial Minister Zamurk Khan raised the issue on a point of order during a Balochistan Assembly session on Monday. Deputy Speaker Matiullah Agha was chairing the session.

Khan said Nato forces had violated Pakistani airspace by making a 20 minute low flight in the area two days back.

The party demanded that the federal government raise the issue with Nato officials and the United States (US).

“This is creating fear and panic among the people living in the bordering district,” Khan told the house. “The people are assuming these airspace violations as an indication from Nato forces that they will soon launch an airstrike in our district.”

He said the government should take notice of this violation and prevent the US from infringing the sovereignty of Pakistan.

The ANP condemned the violation and demanded immediate action.
Leaders of the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-F (JUI-F) also expressed their concern over the presence of Americans in the region and said peace could not be restored until they were driven out from the region.
