Aitzaz as governor Punjab?

After aitzaz ahsan's refusal to serve as AG he has been offered the position of governor Punjab. Hes had meetings with gillani n zardari in this regard.

if Aitzaz is going to accept the offer .
he would be a loser .
he would regret like Shahid Masood in the end.
and would lose his respect whatever left after ditching lawyers at 11th hour of Dharna .

i think he shud take it, way better than taseer. On one hand we complain bout ppl like taseer n rehman malik aka maana naai running affairs on the other hand we dont want them replaced by ppl who knw a thing or two bout governence n actualy hav a constituency n so are in touch wit the public. And the gov is a figurehead position not like he has a job to do.

Asif Ali Zardari only considers those people loyal who either served him while he was in prison or those who stand with him without good/bad discussion -obedience to the level of worship-

Aitzaz Ahsan was a baghi and opposed zardari's stand and zardari will never forget the humiliation of restoring judiciary. He will use him like a disposable tissue paper.

Aitezaz could never accept governorship and same he did. He knows where PPP government stands these days and rather he would be thanking to Allah that his membership is suspended these days, otherwise he had to share the burden of this disgrace, Zardari is earning every day.

Its was just a clever attempt by Zardari to sideline Aitezaz when crucial cases would be heard in Supreme court in coming days.

First he attempted to offer him attorney general seat. So that he would be made to defend NRO and Zardari's crimes.When Aitezaz must have refused and declined to accept the post then Zardari must have thought that 'he you are not appearing in SC on my side then at least he shouldn't be allowed to appear in SC from other side either or as 'Friend of Supreme Court'(where SC calls in senior lawyers for advice in complex cases) so in an attempt to completely sideline him Zardari offered him punjab governor's post.

Although he is not disclosing the real offer but i guess that due to enormous pressure on President Zardari and in order to control the party, Mr. Zardari may resign from his position. Now the question arises that why he will do it? Because then he will first of all strengthen his grip on the party as that is the lender of lost resort for Mr. Zardari in tough time and for his political future. Secondly, the same story will be repeated that he will get his cases clear from NAB (without an impact of NRO), as our prime minister got his cases cleared. I hope you understand what i meant. Next step is that parliament will pass 18th amendment but without lifting ban on becoming PM for 3rd term. When Mr. Zardari will get his cases cleared, then he will become the Prime Minister as the powers would have already been transferred to the chair of Prime Minister.

The above can be a possible scenario in which Mr. Aitezaz will become President after Mr. Zardari leaves the post. This will also benefit PPP politically as they will cash the reputation of Mr. Aitezaz for their own purpose and certainly he will not be another Farooq Leghari.

Interior minister? No way, rahman is working in close collaboration with foreign agencies on 'especial projects'.

Secondly, he still enjoys very close relationship with zardari. Rahman Malik will only go when zardari will go..

Everyone is playing his/her role in this effort and Aitezaz is considering about a role.:)

thats why accepting his rule and command in the party and not leaving the party .

i have lost all hopes from serious PPP ppl too.

Well guys Aitzaz ne PPP mein wapis ana to tha hi aaj ya kal. WO hamesha tv par bolta raha hai ke mein PPP kabhi nahi chauroon ga. PPP ki leadership to ab Zardari family se bahir janay se rahi to chahay wo aj wapis jaye ya kal koi farq nahi parta meri nazar mein.

How come judiciary got restored by PM executive order?

How come NRO was pulled back after announcing to put it on table?

I don't know what his final decision will be but if he is a sane and prudent person, he will never accept any offer from this government. Rather he will wait for a change and then enter in the government. He is not a child and knows very well what the actual graphs are showing about Mr. President and party. But I am sure that he is not going to take positions of Governor, Attorney General or Interior Minister.

Governor and AJ positions are now less than his candidature and he can't be vocal on Interior ministry issues as there are so many burning issues related to that ministry.

IMO he is not going to accept any offer in the present circumstances. But this is purely my personal guess.

Change? There is no such thing as change in Pakistan :)

Aitzaz has to either go along with PPP or leave PPP and join PML-N who has offered him ticket.

If he chooses PPP then he has to help PPP and accept the position offered.

aitzaz hasnt been offerred a tiket by n, hes been offered NA 55 tiket by zardari. Even if n league offered there is absolutely no possibility of aitzaz leavin the party hes been in fr 30+ yrs. Those who knw aitzaz knw very well that leaving the party is not an option that hes ever going to consider. Hes very emotional bout his lifelong affiliation with the party n its workers.

hes been virtually out b4, when he was provincial minister in punjab in the 70s, police opened fire on a lawyers protest, aitzaz resigned n bhutto suspended him for breaching party decipline
