This is not the politics of principal. IK has left no difference between him and other politicians like NS, AZ, AH. Those leaders are famous for their qalabazi siasat i.e. one day they criticize each other and next day on the principal of necessity they join hands with each other. IK has no case of corruption against him.
IK has no case of murder against him.
IK is living with his people, not out of the country.
Ik does not have his bank accounts, assets and palaces in foreign countries.
IK has a track record groundbreaking charity projects for this nation.

Now politics of principles. Politics of principles means - politisc for the well beign of people for whom you are doing this politics - people of Pakistan, in our case.
Politics of principles means, sitting with someone you disagree with for a limited point national agenda, like Judges restoration, removal of Musharraf, NOT for personal gains.
IK talked to AH on DRONE ATTACKS, Afia case, RAYMOND DAVIS - not to sit in government or for any personal gains.
This is PRINCIPLED POLITICS, if you know what it means.
Now, other politicians are rightly deemed opportunistic and unprincipled because they sit together after fighting NOT FOR NATIONAL AGENDA, but for THEIR POLITICAL RULE.
That's the difference.

But when some one is in politics then his life becomes an open book for whole nation. He has to answer whatever he has done in his past life.
