    - The government plans to increase enrolment in higher education from the present 4.7 per cent to 10 per cent by 2015 and to 15 per cent by 2020.

-Grades 11 and 12 (intermediate education) will no more be part of college education but will be merged into the school system. All primary schools will be upgraded to the middle level.

    - Syllabus of public sector schools would be improved in consultation with private sector schools to reduce disparity between the two sectors.

  2. Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,

I'm still not convinced with this. I think MUCH! MORE! CAN! be done.

    These are just token changes.

We need to radically change our education system.

If they synchronize the syllabus of private and public sector schools, I don't think the teachers of public sector schools will be able to continue with it.

The problem is that the teachers of public sector schools do not upgrade their knowledge. They just keep on teaching the old books and old way of memorizing things.
