    "Evil empire", "dying empire", or "invisible empire" are just one of many posts. They have theories and some facts as to how America is pretty much done, which is what they would want to hear. And it is posted because these articles or videos support their views. It seems that these people are so much concerned about America that they overlook their own failures and mistakes. And they become experts on things that they have no clue about. I remember how Hameed Gul was talking about the downfall of American Auto industry on Alex Jones Show.

    Well, this thread is not about defending anyone or putting all the conspiracy theories in the garbage bin. This post is about the story of how American Auto Industry is making an impressive comeback just year after the entire economy was in turmoil. Ford, GM, and Chevrolet are three biggest automakers in US, and two of them had filed for government assistance a year ago. Ford refused to take the bailout. And they have turned out to be a clear winner here. GM has returned government money with interest. With problems happening with Toyota, American automakers are capitalizing the most out of it. They are now making good quality cars, and people are leaning more towards American cars than Japanese Cars. GM has launched the first car that runs on electricity, and that is energy efficient. They fail, and now they are coming back even stronger.

  2. -- Not to be considered as a conspiracy theory --

    - US auto industry has made thousands of recalls due to serious manufacturing defects. Not a single Congressional hearing was called in 100 years of this industry. But why only Toyota CEO was grilled at the Capital Hills for selling faulty brakes? Wouldn't this help Detroit tremendously.

    - Watch Michael Moore's movie "Capitalism - A Love Story". It alludes that the reason US auto industries was so successful in the fifties and sixties because all its competition (Germany and Japan) was made to rubble. Means there was no competition.

    - As far as the decay of US as a nation is concerned, people like Hameed Gul and many mullah had said in the sixties that the hippie nation is about to die in the intoxication of marijuana (Bhung).

    @Azizi

    Where is the proof that American Automakers were not called in front of the congress. As far as Michael Moore (Who btw many Americans think is an idiot) is concerned, he is nowhere to be seen talking about the auto industry. What was Michael Moore's solution to the supposed problem? Was it Khilafat? Hell no, his solution was democracy. There is no democracy when you are running a company, I pay you to work for me, if you don't like me leave the company. American automakers are making better quality cars, whereas toyota is having to recall alot of its models for 2007 and onwards. They are not down, and toyota is not finished but they are having problems.

    That is all they (Hameed Gul and many mullahs) can do. I am not even going to talk about these people.

    The problems with Toyota is also affecting Honda even though they don't have any problems with their cars. And BTW, Japan and America are allies.

    American automakers being successful in fifties and sixties because there was no competition may have been the reason at that time. But this time it is purely their ability to compete and making cars that people want.

    Actually the third automaker is Chrysler not Chevrolet. I accidently mentioned Chevrolet, which is actually a GM brand.
