If you are a person whom Allah has bestowed wealth upon then you should avoid owning property in the US and you should diversify out of the dollar into gold and silver. Gold and silver have retained there value over history and there is no reason to think that they would not do the same in the future.
Today America is the home of an interesting assortment of sins that are handpicked from all over the nations that existed before us: the obstinacy of the people of Nuh; the arrogance of the people of Aad; the rejection of Allah’s signs by the people of Thamud; the sodomy of the people of Lut; the financial deviance of the people of Shuayb as America is the biggest dealer and promoter of the interest based economy; the oppression of Abu Jahl et al; the greed, deception, love of the temporal life, and the bogusness of the children of Israel; along with the arrogance of the Pharaoh who had the misled notion that just because he is the leader of the most powerful nation on earth and is at the top the greatest army of his time he can somehow defeat the servants of Allah.
Punishment of Allah is hovering over America. When? And how? Allah knows best.

278. O you who believe! Be afraid of Allâh and give up what remains (due to you) from Ribâ (usury) (from now onward), if you are (really) believers.
279. And if you do not do it, then take a notice of war from Allâh and His Messenger but if you repent, you shall have your capital sums. Deal not unjustly (by asking more than your capital sums), and you shall not be dealt with unjustly (by receiving less than your capital sums).

Memberlota, I am not supposed to reply but this time you did not hurl any abuse but assumed some thing that is a concocted lie.
I have one card but I pay the ammount before the expiry date without incurring any interest. Where there is will there is a way. One noted Islamic scholar, Dr. Amir Ali died few years back in Chicago-May Allah have maghfirah on his soul. He lived his entire life in a simple apartment with his large family but never went to mortgage and bought any house on interest although he was a doctor. There are lots of such cases of persons who do not indulge in Riba.

MemberThis reminds me of a friend of mine from Saudi Arabia who was studying in U.S.He was very religious and humble person.One day at the local Islamic center he told me about his decision to go back to Saudia all of a sudden.I was curious and asked him what has happened.He told me, brother,you know it is not even possible to breath in this country without indulging in Riba.

I have this friend from sahiwal Pakistan who is a hafiz and went to school with me in ny. He went to Saudi Arabia a few years ago to study Islam and is getting his Islamic education there. He recently called me out of the blue and told me things are very good in Saudi Arabia, he just bought a mountain somewhere and I should come there also to visit him. His mother recently passed away and his father remarried with a 20 year old girl. He is very upset at his father and is not on talking terms with him. I told him that I am ready to come to Saudi Arabia if he makes peace with his dad since respecting our parents is faraz for us.
