PM assures Pir Pagaro of not fielding PPP candidate in Khipro by-polls

(The PM made no mention of the fact that Pir Pagaro and Gilani are related and this is all family business. PML-N too would have assured the Pir the same but they had no candidate to begin with but the reason given would have been "we are doing it only to support the system")

I am sure you will call what Naseem pointed out as "good politics". Besides what Naseem explained, my point was also if this was "election" or "selection"? 'Cause you can be sure that individual will be shouting tomorrow he "represents the will of the people" as he is was "voted in by his constituency".

Lolz...Don't say that Beena Ji. He is a formidable force in his constituency. Known to own an army of 'khudai khidmatgars' that have morphed from the 'surkha' types of 'bailcha brigade'.

-- Gillani's eldest son Abdul Qadir Gillani recently (2008) married the grand-daughter of Pir Pagara
-- Gillani’s mother was a sister of Makhdum Hasan Mahmood of Jamaldinwali, Rahimyar Khan whose sister was married to Pir of Pagaro (Hasan Mehmouod's daughter -- Gillani's first cousin -- is married to General Musharraf’s former loyalist Jehangir Tareen; Hasan Mehmouod's son -- Gillani's first cousin Makhdum Ahmad Mahmood -- also Gillani’s first cousin -- is provincial president of Pir Pagara’s Functional League)

All related as relatives is not much known by a common man. All he knows is they belong to different political parties.
This time it was sympthy vote that brought them to power. What they will do, how would they fare in the coming elections?
