Expaki yar i posted this bbc article before as well now posting again.

Bhai you ever been to Qasba colony? its right under Kati Phari? Jab tum paposh se Abdulla girlz college or Bnaras cross karo ya Kati phari se jao to unauthorized colony bani hoi hain.

... since 1984-85 Phari ke uper or nechey walon main bari tension hoti hey....

Yes there may be some Taliban but fact is that Phari ke uper Jews ke nasal or Phari ke nechey Hindus ke Nasal rehti hey... they dont see each other as Pakistani or Muslim.

Jab peet main roti na ho to woh apas main eik dosrey se larney nekal partey hain.
Gharib admi ke pass Nationalism bohat zayda hota hey.

How can a poor Behari bhai afford to keep AK 47 woh bhi license wali?

Some facts we need to accept and one of the most important one is "

  14. my driver lives in Orangi town kutti pahari, the most dangerous zone of Karachi, nowadays.
he told me that there are 17to18 dead bodies of the poor people belonging to two ethnic groups (urdu speaking and Pathans both) and nobody was there to bury them.
they werent the workers of MQM or ANP.
they were common and poor ppl who use to speak Urdu or Pashto.
    they got killed.
and nobody bothered to bury their bodies.
as they all were either had no family or had their family back in their home town.
after two days, when situation gets a little better.
and Rehman Malik came to have tea there.
that day ,those dead bodies got buried by the security ppl.

I tell you the old stories of same place.
    1977.
    Agitation of PNA started.
One Pashton praying in mosque was killed by direct fire from law enforcement (No ethnic tension than).
Next day more clashes, more ,more.
    Result on 5th July.
    1986
    Same area
An operation in Sohrab Goth by ........ in search of narcotics, Pashton were removed by force from their homes.
Next day they were protesting on the road dividing Ali Garh Colony and frontier Colony. There was a dispensary at that time at the corner of AliGarh Colony. Some unknown person reached on the roof of that dispensary and fired on protesting people . At about 10am. Two died at spot and many injured. Police was present at metro Cinema but they didn't come out and later went back to their police station at Orangi 10. (Army was at about 15 minutes drive) . At about 4 pm some 50 to 60 armed men attacked Aligarh colony and same happened at the point of Banaras Qasba middle area. They burnt many houses but causalities were three or four. The people were never identified but same time creation of Punjabi Pakhton Itehad led by Ghulam Sarwar Awan created a hype and MQM became some popular. It should be mentioned that son of Ghulam Sarwar Awan was under custody due to involvement in Tipo's hijacking case and Ghulam Sarwar dis this all for his son.
This is the same dirty play and players are same.
    Revival of the past.

  17. I was in Karachi at that time and I know very well what exactly happened in Karachi. I know some top brass people who were involved in Karachi operation and happened to hear the conversation between some high ranking officials and some dodgy leaders. I even heard a conversation between Altaf and one of his army Chaperon who helped him becoming the leader of MQM. He was on a speaker phone and if I disclose this conversation today, he (Altaf) will remember the exact day of the conversation. :) but let me tell you one thing, that was the day I realized that who was altaf and all his dodgy connections with army and police officials.

**** Consultant has painted a one side of the picture as usual. Before the Massacre of Alighar colony, there were few hundreds Pashtuns and even Punjabis killed in karachi... Don't take my word for it and go to any nearest library and dig out the news papers from 87, onwards..... If I had some time, i will dig out some articles for you too, on the barbarism of MQM in Karachi.

But the reality is that ANP started gaining popularity among pashtuns after 1996 onwards.... Prior to that they had no representation. The only representation was the Pakhtun students Federation, a student wing of ANP who were non existent except in few colleges in Karachi.

Ghulam Sarwar Awan made PPI after MQM killed hundreds of Punjabi's and unlike Pashtuns, Punjabis were scattered in Karachi and were not as armed as Pshtuns and Muhajirs.... His main aim was to get some power and the fact that his son was a worker of PPP (Ayub Awan) and was released from Jail after AL Zulfiqar high jacked the PIA plane. Sarwar Awan got one member of his party elected (????ullah khan Marwat.... forgot his first name) who was the son in law of Ghulam Ishaq Khan (President)

The whole of Karachi Politics is a mess... No one will give up their share of the cake. I suggest we should declare either this city as a no weapon zone and every one found with a weapon should be shot (after giving them ONE chance to throw all weapons or surrender them) or call it a war zone and give them a month to go out and kill each other. i am sure most of them except the goons of MQM, PPP and ANP will take the first option.

  21. Thanks brother for your encouraging words... Every one has some bias in their opinion... I accept that, but the day these MQM supporters stop the hatred against other ethnic groups, i will be the first to hammer anyone criticizing them unjustly. I have a lot of urdu speakers married with in my family and 90% of my friends are proper present or Ex. Karachites. Even my best friend in London is an MQM high ranking official but we don't hate people just because of their different language or religious belief.

I am sure Irfanullah Marwat must be enjoying his life but than don't they all do? lol .. It's the common people who suffers

Yes this hatred is taking us nowhere.Kill all the Muhajirs,All the sindhis, All the Pukhtoons, every one,
BUT then what.No one think about it.The blood I saw is always red, no matter its shed in Lyari or Qasba Colony or around Kati Pahari.A poor Rikshaw driver feel the same pain a Muhajir feels when both hit by a bullet. The cries of that little girl whose father was killed on his Tandor shop are as horible as that boy's who saw his brother killed in Shershaw Market.

But still we think muhajirs are sons of Hindus and Pathans are decended from Jew tribes.

    Salam Bhai
I think the dynamics of Karachi are different then rest of Pakistan.Political, social and ethinicle canvos is too wide and to diversified that dominance of color can ruin the hwole picture(refer to current situation and past two decades where MQM try to paint with their own and only color)
There should be a commette with equal representaion of all the stakeholders, with pre defined profile qualification.Every segment must be govern by this commette and there must not be any politicle involvemeet.Local Police is another solution for law and order.

Sir, the basic issue is influx of Pathans from Northern parts and they trying to find a place to live as explained here.

Pathans and all other ethnicities have all the right to live wherever they want in whole Pakistan including Karachi. However their internal migration was not properly handled due to bad governance.

would be nice if you can put some light on Al-Asif / Sohrab Goath operation... this eventually caused the Ali garh/Qasba killing.

Also, it true that after road accident of Sir Sayyed girlz college student lot of Buesses/Rickshaw owned by Pashtoon community got damaged... but I am not able to recall if Pashtoons were killed first or second...but this is not my point here...

We need to find some fact and and encourage fix to this problem. Fact are

1: People living on top and bottom of Orangi/kati Parahi
    dont love each other

2: Poverty, Rozi Roti ka masla...both communities are not ready to depended on each other

    3: Unauthorized kachi Abadies

4: Unplanned migration of IDPs adding flame

5: Guns... who got more and who open fire first is minor issue most important is to clean up each and every area of Karachi from Guns.

6: I always like to see community base policing in Karachi, How come SHO of Nazimabad living in DHA or
Orangi town ka ASI Punjabi speaking.... why cant they have something with common sense. Even in NYC and Chicago we have police officers from same community... Kala police wala deals with Kala criminal better just like Pakistani police wala "Devon street" Chicago main indian or pakistanion ko deal kerta hey

btw....do you see my posting base on love of MQM? I try to be balance... but kia kareen mohabat hi etni hey

I challenge you to prove any mass killings of Punjabis/Pathan (as you said few hundreds Pashtuns and even Punjabis) in Karachi "Before the Massacre of Alighar colony". And if you can not, then act like a man not a Pathan in your further analysis.

This all started after the 14, Dec 1986 Qasba/Aligarh massacre of then non-violent/unarmed Urdu speaking population by Pathans. After that for their survival Urdu speaking armed them-self and supported MQM to defend them-self.

The basic is greed of the leaders for power .
Power for more money, Money for more power. More power for more money.
ANP were the best one before 2008 in this regard but perhaps they realized that they are left behind and others have gone up so they joined this race.
MQM started from 'daccaitees'. later bhattah , Now no bhattah, but high profile bhattah/share
All parties are doing this and not only politicians ,others are doing more.
They created ethnic hype in Karachi and make the people fool.
    @bsobaid
You are right, This was first time when people of Karachi felt ethnicity, Ayoub, The mother of all crimes.

Main Karachi main tha; it used to be my earlier years of high school. There was no MQM at that time. I have witnessed that how people were scrambling and trying to think of how to cope with the situation. That was kind of a theoretical beginning of MQM. We saw pathans selling old cloths telling my mother and aunt that how muhajirs are following lavish lifestyle; it was before MQM's inception. Also I have witnessed how these minibus drivers used to treat or even beat up non-pathans specially Muhajirs by taking the bus to pathan-infested areas. So my hatred is not something baseless, it has definite deep-rooted foundation in these people's attitude.

I also have memory from early mid 70s and vivid memory from mid 80s, when everyone used to come out like 3-4 AM in the morning because someone was drumming up the electricity poles throughout the areas. It was low-tech alarm for area is under seige by Sindhis and Pathans respectively. I also have vague memory of mid 70s, I was 4-5 years old, of FSF (Federal Security Forces) convoy passing our streets and how the terror was evident from resident's faces. Everything counts. I also remember how my father is serving tea and mithai to PPP goons for freeing our house as Bhutto has decreed 'ishtrakiyat' meant whoever was tenant became landlord. And the same happened to us, someone occupied part of our house. We bought our house for 10 thousands rupees at that time and we spent 2 thousand ruppees and 6 months to get it freed.

There was a strength of almost 8-9 hundred men of FSF at Karachi. FSF was a task force only and very small in number created in 73 to be called on instead of army. A great propaganda was made against it and this was finished.

You may be right but they were given authority over military and other law enforcement agencies and it cannot be denied. It was not finished, they were disbanded, tried and later merged part of its force with law-enforcement. Besides, you never see commando unit in large number; it is that way for reasons. These FSF personnel used to carry out tasks such as eliminating the political opponents etc.

Sohrab Goth Operation was conducted which had the retaliation in Qasba and Aligarh Garh colony in the form of a Massacre. I will never justify killing if any one on the basis of language or sect but when racists P**S try to justify the killings of pashtuns or any other community than I love to shove their spill venom up their A**e.

There was no doubt that Sohrab Goth Operation was the key to the Ali Garh massacre as then Altaf used to tell Muhajir to sell their VCR and TV's and buy AK-47. Today they have AK-47 but their own people in shape of Haqiqi are killing them like rats.

Forget Pashtuns for the time being, MQM has to face the music being played by Haqiqi now along with PPP. Good Luck!

My daer Pakistanis,Be Pakistanis and not be Muhajirs,Sindhi,Pushtoons,Punjabi and Baluchi. We are away from Islam.Islam does not allow the killing of any one (Muslim or Non-Muslim)It is very simple that those involved in killing are not true muslims; they willbe held for their action in the hereafter life.

Sindh govt has failed in protecting Karachites and their lives.

PPP,PML(N),PML(Q),MQM,ANP and JUI(F) ruled Pakistan in the last 63 years but gave no relief to the poor.No justice was given to the poor in the past.

Please wake up! support Imran Khan in his struggle against corruption, extortion and roguery. He did not usurp bank loans, plots or land in Pakistan. He is the only hope for the poor in Pakistan.

No longer will the poor be deceived by these corrupters; they will vote Imran Khan to power in next elections.
