On face value, it looks like, as if people in these political parties are abolishing laws that would help in detecting crimes of these people.

  3. CoD was dead long time ago, both parties are using it for propaganda against each other, both playing politic against each other on the name of CoD.

However Mr Raza Rabani is doing great job, he already done lot of work to make some positive progress for constitutional amendments, if he succeeds to complete his mission from parliament then he will be remember for his achievement in the history of pakistan.

Crimes and corruption was committed by government, oposition, army generals and judges, in history of pakistan, but everybody want to target other side. Nobody is ready to be answerable for their own crimes.

  5. Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,

@UmeR: I never said or meant that.

I was pointing out, that the two groups envolved in CoD have sidelined the rules they previously agreed upon.

"Pakistan People’s Party and Pakistan Muslim League-N have changed their stance on judges’ appointment agreed under the Charter of Democracy (CoD) signed about four years ago."

PMLN forced PPP to change their stance on appointment of judges, because if CoD is implemented in letter and spirit, the present judiciary will be sent home. And CoD was signed before this controversy of judges even happened.

From the article: "A PPP leader claimed that the clause had been altered on the insistence of PML-N. The party pressed for retaining Chief Justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry in recognition of his services for the cause of judiciary’s independence."

These two groups are nothing but the devil's offsprings. Where ever they see a benefit they change their ideology according to that. No wonder in the amendments of COD.
