In the last tour of Pakistan prior to attack on the Pakistani check-post, the US Foreign Secretary Mrs. Hillary Clinton reiterated the US demand to do more. She also hurled a threat to Pakistan that if the US demands to do more were not obeyed then the American Army would take any punishing measure against Pakistan. Her warning and departure was shortly followed by an attack over the Pakistani check-post.
It appears evidently that the attack was made to punish the Pakistani Army for its disobedience to 'do more'.
The corruption of the top brass generals is a different matter, however, the killing of junior rank officers and soldiers is a matter of deep grief for the nation. The families of the soldiers killed deserve the national sympathies.
