This is quite unfortunate that we have a short memory and there are not much older people on this
forum. For this reason , some old lads resort to continous distorting of history probably believing that
since most of members are young guns, they won't have a knowledge of old events.
A very senior respectable member has consistently lying on this forum that ZAB was CMLA for seven years.
I have confronted him with facts on couple of occasions but still he does so.
Unfortunately i m not in Pakistan , otherwise i would have gone to some library to get the newspaper copies
but still i m able to muster up some web links.
In order to set the historical record straight , i m posting a few links .
a) http://www.ichrdd.ca/english/commdoc/publications/demDev/pakistan/pakistanddengapp.html
b) http://www.defencejournal.com/april98/zabhutto.htm
c) http://www.cbc.ca/news/background/pakistan/
All these links clearly state that Martial Law was lifted in April 72 and there was no martial law / CMLA from then till Jul 77.
My request to everyone including this gnetleman is that everyone of us has a right to form an oponion & express it but it doesn't necessiates distorting of historical facts. Everyone of us is human being , prone to mistakes but it raises one statue if he admits his mistakes instead of using rather mis-using his administrative priviliages.
It should be absolutely clear that neither i m ZAB fan nor i have anything personal against any respected member.
