    Your desperation is showing. It was a huge reception. It took 6 hours for him to reach Data Darbar from Tokhar Niazi Baig.

    It was a reception that must have sent chills down the Dengue brothers spine and made them wet their pants.

    It is you who is lying. Why did you create this thread? Just to give yourself and your brothers in Dengue league false comfort?

    It was a huge reception and I saw that on TV and contacted with my friends and that's why I am telling you this.

    I feel pity for javed hashmi, when he came lahore before shahbaz or nawaz went to pick him from airport and now few dozens thugs like mian mahmudurrashid, rashid bhatti, maja sikh etc.

    Also check his speech at data darbar in Geo news, hardly few dozen people. What tehreek taliban turned him into, real sad for hashmi.

    @zufi,

    I feel pity for Dengue League.

    Well, for your information, Nawas Sharif and Shahaz Sharif are the biggest thugs of Pakistan.

    Javed Hashmi made a right and timely decision. History will prove him right.

    BTW, it was a huge reception as confirmed by the visitors there.

    The real event was at Data Darbar, BTW. The rally consisted of hundred of vehicles as reported by Express News.

    Why does he keep on complaining?

    Just like a q khan has ruined his reputation by non stop complaining and non stop repeatation of his services, javed hashmi is doing the same. Someone needs to tell him these kind of complains and behavior does not suit a person of his level.

    Yes, Imran is Imran, and many PTians supporters don't know anybody besides Imran in PTI!

    That's what leadership means.

    @Ali
    I usually dont argue with PTIANS Because they have only one logic WHICH is as following
    "Imran Khan is the only honest man born since dawn of universe" .

    And after that their whole logic continues to revolve around it.
    PPP supporters have better arguement b/c at least they talk about issues of secularism, liberalism etc.

    So sorry no argument with you or yr ilk.

    From what I have seen so far from media and photoes, it seems very dissapointing welcome for Hashmi saab.

    We should have had a minimum of 10000 people showing there respect to this brave warrior. Do u remember the abuse that Javed Hashmi got from noon league youth and workers?

    This was the time to show Javed saab that he has come to his true home PTI.

    Just waiting for some pictures before the darbar itself to give a full conclusion to this.

    But if we go by what I have seen at the moment it seems that it is diaper day for PTI!

    Waiting for more evidence before give full conclusion. There is some hope of what ali said.

    @ali

    how many people were there before the darbar. Any estimates?

    No brother Imran Khan is not like that, we all know who the boss is and that is Imran Khan.

    That excuse is a no go zone.........

    Even if 100,000 people attended IK I think would still be happy. As would we.....

    I have a diaper next to me and if in 24hrs there is not some sufficient evidence in what ali said, then that Diaper is coming on:)

    Also some advice to other PTI supporters get your diapers from the shop, it may be required.....

    LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) supporters gave Makhdoom Javed Hashmi a warm welcome into the city on Sunday as he arrived in a large convoy from Multan in a symbolic journey to challenge the dominance of his former party, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, in Punjab.

    Hashmi criticised the PML-N for reportedly negotiating with the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) over Senate seats, saying the party was making a deal with a corrupt and incompetent government.

    Hashmi was making his first appearance in Lahore since joining the PTI in Karachi on December 25. He set out for Lahore by road in the morning and was welcomed at Thokar Niaz Baig at 3pm by the PTI’s youth wing, traders wing, labour wing and women’s wing. It took him another six hours to cover the 15 kilometres form Thokar Niaz Baig to Data Darbar, as he was cheered on and mobbed at various welcome camps.

    PTI Lahore President Mian Mehmoodur Rashid led the chorus of cheering supporters and announced that Hashmi would stand in the next general elections from Lahore. The supporters cheered when he predicted that Hashmi would win his seat with a margin of over 100,000 votes.

    Addressing the crowd in front of Data Darbar, Hashmi slammed his former party. He said that while the country was suffering from unemployment, corruption and lawlessness – thanks to Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani and President Asif Ali Zardari – the PML-N was negotiating with them over the distribution of Senate seats.

    He said Zardari and Gilani were “the biggest thieves” and they did not respect the judiciary. “Sadly, despite knowing all this, the PML-N’s leadership is about to strike a deal over Senate seats,” he said.

    He said he had been loyal to the PML-N for a long time, but was forced to quit when the party failed to deliver on its promises of good governance and poverty alleviation and instead decided to join hands with the PPP.

    Hashmi said that even if all the Muslim League factions and the PPP united for the next elections, they would be swept away by the PTI ‘tsunami’. He said that he had always served Lahore. “When the holders of Takht-i-Lahore [Throne of Lahore] fled the country, I stayed to preserve the party’s vote bank. For this, I was put behind bars,” he said.

    Hashmi said that he had never flattered his leaders, but always put forth his views. He said that he used to think he alone was a rebel, but seeing the turnout, it seemed the entire city was rebelling against the PML-N.

    The PTI leader also criticised US drone attacks, the imprisonment of Pakistani scientist Aafia Siddiqui in the United States and rich politicians. He said if one listed the 10 biggest politicians in Pakistan, one would note that all of them had become richer in recent years. “Imran Khan is just a simple politician, he does not own any textile mills,” he said.

    The route of the convoy was decorated with banners and posters of Imran Khan and Hashmi. They bore slogans like ‘Nawaz Sharif al wida, al wida, Baghi aa raha hay’ (Farewell Nawaz Sharif, The Rebel is coming).

    Interesting that one event can can be physically verified has two extreme feedback.

    One point of view considers this as a successful event and onther utter failure.

    Are we negating visibile facts just because of our alignments with our respective parties.

    First of all this is not something on which energies should be wasted that how many people were there. I have also watched the media reports and i feel that a reasonable number of people were there, though less than the expectation of advertising that "Baghi aa raha hay".

    Secondly today's newspaper claim that it was a very good welcome as "Shandaar Istaqbaal".

    Thirdly what QN has posted the pic of NS can be rejected on the basis that no one can prove that it was taken when he came back. Moreover we all know that when he comes back from abroad, they always use the old airport way to avoid media gathering. He tries to reach Raiwin in the minimum time possible.

    I also attended the rally. It rally was quite impressive...Huge crowd was gathered in every next Chowk & every point to welcome their leader...

    New people were joining at every point while old were leaving as it was just to welcome...So we cant count how many people welcomed Hashmi ...Overall if we count the people who welcomed him the quantity may go to thousands...But how many traveled with him is matter different... We can say hundred of thousands people welcome this great leader...

    Javed Hashmi arrived at first point Thokar Niaz Baig at around 3PM & Reached at last point at around 9PM. It means he reached his last point in around 6 hours (Only 15Km distance). if it was a 2 wagon rally then it should take 15-20 minutes to reach at destination instead of reaching in 6 hours....

    It was a huge crowd due to which it was driving slowly.......

    I dont know if you call one thousand to one only...

    your thread title is a slap on your own face...

    I remember Javed Hashmi's mammoth rally to Rawalpindi as PML-N's acting president.

    After seeing yesterday's pathetic show, Hashmi must be wondering whether he committed a blunder by joining Tehreek-i-Ilzam.

    I dont know about Hashmi's sentiments after last days reception But I know about Nawaz Sharif that he must have lost his all senses after getting news of his reception that's why he invested all his resources to stop media coverage of the rally.

    @nonstopleo,

    Welcome to the forum pal. One of the hard and fast rule around here is that not only you gotta talk the talk and walk the walk but you also have to prove the crap such as "But I know about Nawaz Sharif that he must have lost his all senses after getting news of his reception that's why he invested all his resources to stop media coverage of the rally."

    Care to provide us with a source to your above claim or are we to believe that one of the mods at insaf.pk has been assigned to spam at pkpolitics.

    I guess Hashmi and Shah Mahmood Qureshi have burned the bridges. If they call it quits, the only option is forming own parties or else be ready for beghairat label if they look toward some other established party. Question is how soon they realize what a blunder it has been and that late in political career.

    What's with this this baaghi and Guevarian fetish? Since when did rebels lived an opulent lifestyles encapsulated by 3000 sq. yards palatial abode or drove around in a Land Cruiser. Javed Hashmi would soon realize that Lota Khan has made him an embodiment of "Mamu."
