  1. President will attend UK ceremony, says Wajid; Pak government to foot bill
LONDON: Bilawal Zardari will formally launch his political career as chairman of PPP on August 7 when President Asif Ali Zardari and his son will address a major rally of British Pakistanis in Birmingham to formally launch the young Zardari’s active political career.

The president’s visit to the UK and 21-year-old Bilawal’s anointation comes at a critical stage when the party stands divided in the UK. Now a genuine graduate from famous Oxford University, where his martyred mother and maternal uncles also studied, Bilawal Bhutto, who is more interested in Facebook and hip-hop music than Pakistani politics, is being coached about Pakistani politics.

He will have to wait till he reaches the age of 25 to contest election but after taking over the party as the full-fledged chairman, without having to share the portfolio with his father president, he will become the most powerful young politician Pakistan has ever seen. ...

  2. Well, well. We've still got a few years ahead of us before the "most powerful politician Pakistan has ever seen" gets a chance to run us over. Let's hope by then there'll be no need to submit to the charms and long arms of young Bilawal.

Otherwise, Dad and son might really reach that 8th position or higher on the Forbes List of the Rich. Carlos Slim, here we come.

  7. First Father/Son team to run the Presidency/PM House.

This is exactly why I detest this family ownership of political parties that is suffocating democracy and real change in the country.

And all the jiyala/pityala/matwala/jamatia/islamiay/insaafiyay blind follower workers are complicit in this.

All of them (98% of the "pundits" who post on this site included) are complicit in the sh!thole that the country is sliding into. Every single political 'worker' calling this a bad thing, probably supports the same for "their chaheeta's" so, STFU already!! Enough Munafiqat!

If we're going to have an autocracy, then what the he11 is wrong with a military autocracy. At least they don't mince words about taking order from one guy (and it's not hereditary)

Now I'll sit back and watch the lame excuses roll in.
