Who is the secular 'butch' in today's shahid nama with zaid hamid? She said she love Pakistan but not the two nation theory. The show is not uploaded on internet yet.

@samrash indeed she belongs to **** brigade.

She's the same person who was defending g@y event in US embassy. I was disappointed to hear her dirty language being aired without any objection.

Seems Nusrat javed frame "lal topi wala mashkara", first he provoke him with name calling and then unleash Jasmin Manzoor in her program. Would be interesting how this case unfold.

With due respect, I beg to differ with you. The roots of Pakistan were not based on what we are taught through distorted history books.

Jinnah sahib wanted to have equal rights for Muslims within subcontinent but due to the stubborn attitude of Nehru, Jinnah sahib had to settle for an independent nation. Nehru played hard ball and never imagined that he is cornering Jinnah sahib. Nehru didn’t even think of the possibility that his toughness could lead to see division of sub continent. Nehru misjudged, Jinnah sahib had to settle on a divided Punjab and Bengal and millions of people had to lose their lives.

Jinnah sahib was a man of principle and integrity and he sincerely wanted to safeguard the interests of Muslims after end of British rule in India. I wish if Nehru had shown some foresight.

By the way when was the two nation theory came into existence?

Did it exist when Muslims ruled a majority Hindu Subcontient for many centuries?

The two nation theory came into being when the British created the country of India and tried to forcibly manufacture an Indian nation.

Throughout the history, the present day India had never been one country, not during Maurias, Ashoka or even Mughal days. It was always a sub-continent consisting of many independent countries and nations just like Europe.

When the British created India and tried to pass it on to Hindu dominated Congress as a representative of an artificial Indian nation, Quaid-i-Azam and other Muslim leaders rightly took the stand that British India was not a one-nation country. The Muslims of British India had a distinct history, culture and language from the Hindus. The heroes of one were the villains of other. They did not inter-marry, did not eat the same food and did not share any common values. For orthodox Hindus, Muslims were untouchables who were not allowed to touch their hands or eat/drink from the same utensils as Hindus.

This is why Muslim leaders insisted that Muslims were not a minority but a separate nation and the areas which became part of Pakistan were historically part of Muslim heartland where Muslims were not only in majority but had also ruled these for most of the time. Therefore, it was totally unfair to make them a party of British created India where they would be under Hindu subjugation

Quaid-i-Azam was absolutely right when he said that Pakistan came into being when the first Muslim set foot in the subcontinent.

If this is not two-nation theory then I know what is. These so called seculars could not question the two nation theory till 1980s because the generation that created Pakistan was alive till then and their lies would have been instantly discredited. Now they think they can pull wool over everybody's eyes by questioning the two-nation theory as if Pakistan was not created because of separate nationhood but because Quaid-i-Azam was just in the mood to have some fun. Their arguments are too puerile to worth much attention. So it is strange that Shahid Masood gives air time to such ignorant characters like Marvi Sarmad. It seems he thinks more outrageous comments, be they total lies, will increase his ratings.

Pakistan and India have always been separate.
For majority of their history the two people have different culture, different language, different religion. Indian culture has influenced islam that is followed in Pakistan and some of our culture also.

Two extremes fighting with each other and spreading hatred and confusion.Labelling has become part of our society.
Zaid Hamid crossed the limits and could not offer even a single argument in the favor of political discourse.
The same was wrong with Marvi Sarmad.
Such people pose a danger to our society.

Just watched that show late.
All i can say is what a butch.
She openly doesn't say anything about Kashmir but only wants to talk about Balochistan, how is her stance any different that the stances of India gov't.

More intense insurgencies and genuine freedom struggles are going on in india...in the illegally occupied Kashmir by india, in the seven sister states in the north-east, Khalistan movement is rising again, 40% of india is under de-facto naxalites/maoists control, but you don't see their journalists bitching in the same way as she did.
