once again BJP has shown his hatred against Muslims specially Pakistan by expelling the former foreign minister Jaswant Singh from the party following his recent book praising Pakistani leader Mohammed Ali Jinnah.

    Dawn Group

The BJP expelled the former foreign minister Jaswant Singh from the party following his recent book praising Pakistani leader Mohammed Ali Jinnah, DawnNews reported.

The BJP president Rajnath Singh told reporters in Shimla that his party’s parliamentary board decided to expel Singh from the primary membership of the party.

‘Yesterday, I issued a statement about the BJP dissociating itself from Jaswant Singh’s views. The party discussed the matter at the chintan baithak and it was decided to expel him,’ AFP quoted Rajnath as saying.

Singh’s recent book ‘Jinnah — India, Partition, Independence,’ reflects the politician’s personal admiration for the founder of Pakistan, and has stoked a storm of controversy.

Conservative members of the right-wing BJP have slammed the publication, and had mounted a campaign to ostracize Singh, trashing the BJP with epithets such as the ‘Bhartiya Jinnah Party.’

    @Beenai

    nice.

i think while processions PPP used to hire people to show their strength. one more reason why we are having the same faces in parliament because mostly pakistans support BRADRI-IZIM. i think this is the reason why, choudary, Mian, Bhutoo same face every time.

    wadeyrashaahi at its best.

perhaps if zulfiqaralibhutto did not have immense land, we would not be seeing Zardari where he is today because Zardari is all what Benazir made him. it all links to zamindars.

and a lot of you loosers shouting for democracy recently should have realized that this would be worse than anything else.

no, dictatorship is not the key, but the votes should have went for someone else. perhaps even imran khan would have been better ;)

You missed the most important message out of this book that the Quaid-i-Azam, at a stage declined to divide India by accepting the Cabinet Mission Plan in 1946.
Mr. Jaswant Singh is right to point out that Mr. Jawahar Lal Nehru and Sardar Walabh Bhia Patel opposed the Cabinet Mission Plan what suggested a Confederation of India and Pakistan comprising of three categories of States, A, B and C.

  12. @Shikra ,
but it is not a secret .
Qauid e Azam himself has admitted that he has changed his certain views about certain things .
he was one of the great leaders.
who always go for what the best is for the nation.

he use to be the part of congress.
but as soon as he finds out,its only taking care of Hindu interests ...he backed off his support and joined Muslim League .
    when he was asked
u use to b a part of Congress at a point too?
    he answered :
yes,i be a student of Montessori school at a point too.

That means in 1946 by accepting the Provisions of the Cabinet Mission Plan he was convinced that Partition of India was not the only option and that was not the only best for the Nation.
He was put in a situation by Nehru, Patel, some other Indian Congress leaders and the British Administration, but to go for Partition of India.
It is also meaningful that the actual process of Partition was scheduled to be completed in 1948, but it was done one year earlier in 1947.

All the text books in Pakistan point out time and again to the fact that Quaid-i-Azam always worked for Hindu Muslim unity and was ready to accept a united india if certain constitutional guarantees were available for Muslims. That is why he accepted Cabinet mission plan. Pakistan came into being because hindu leadership refused to give any such constitutional guarantees.

On the other hand text books in India keep on harping the tune that Quaid-i-Azam was a communal extremist who wanted to divide British India, while people like Nehru and Gandhi were trying to keep it united.

We have always been hearing from the secular brigade that Pakistani text books wrongly depict the history and are creating hatred by portraying hindu leadership as being responsible for division of British india, while Indian text books portray the truth.

Now, prominent persons in India including a leader of the most rabidly hindu extremkist political party are acknowledging the fact that basically what is written in Pakistani text books is true.

I wonder if the secular brigade would have the intellectual honesty to accept that it was wrong and these are indian, not Pakistani text books which are portraying the wrong version of history. But perhaps expecting such honesty would be a bit too much to ask from the secular brigade.
