    care to tell us who are the owners of weeklystandard and what relationship they have with the neo-con and with someone called William kristol and who was his Father

    And dont say that I am trying to shoot the messanger !!!!

    I know why you picked up this article

    "Over the past 30 years, under Pakistan’s laws criminalizing blasphemy against Islam, hundreds of Christians, <<Ahmadis>>, Hindus, Sikhs, and unorthodox and reformist Muslims have been tried and imprisoned by the state or killed by extremists. But even against this brutal background, the blasphemy-triggered January 4 assassination of Punjab governor Salman Taseer by one of his elite security detail may prove a defining moment"

  3. Assalam-o-Alaikum-Warahmat-ULLAH ALL,

    I repeat;

    (1) Blasphemy law was created/updated in 1986 in Pakistan

    (2) In the 964 or so cases filed between 1986 - 2009 (23+ years);

    (a) 489 cases were against Muslims
    (b) 100+ were against Christians
    (c) 300+ were against other minorities

    (3) To-date, there is not a single case in which conviction(s) were handed out by using this law

    A good article and as the title suggests it is now an offense to be moderate in Pakistani society. Thanks God these extremist molvis marching in support of murderer Mumtaz Qadri do not have electoral support otherwise Pakistan ka khuda hi hafiz hey.

    it will be doomsday for moderate Pakistanis if extremist molvis gain electoral victory in an election. So far they only have some street power mainly due to their provocative speeches and fake fatway.
